The best hotel in the city. I have stayed in this hotel since many years ago and it continues to improve facilities, services and food. It is a great location for the business traveler as well as for the tourist.

Staff is exceptional, genuine, professional and makes up for any stigma of it being in Managua.

The staff went out of their way to make it important for a private birthday celebration. The room service is exceptional and the cost is more than reasonable for 5 star treatment. The beds are comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help.

I booked a stay at this hotel and needed to contact them due to circumstances with the unfortunate events occurring in areas of the country in order to assist with the reservation. I used every method possible, including the email address the hotel has provided in one other response on TripAdvisor. They have not replied, I’ve been trying for a month now to contact them, and the refuse to reply. I made the booking as I respected the Intercontinental brand but this hotel has acted very unprofessionally in blatantly ignoring my outreach in both English and Spanish, in case that was the issue. Sadly the experience was more what I’d expect from a cheap, fly by night, one person operation (and only a bad one as many boutiques are fantastically run) on the verge of bankruptcy. This experience has turned me off Intercontinental and changed my perception of them being a reliable hotel brand. I wouldn’t stay here, rather stay somewhere which treats you like a customer.

I don't think people really spend a lot of time in Managua. It's sort of a get in and get to your destination sort of place. Recently, however, we needed to end our trip to Nicaragua in Managua to catch a 7am flight back to the states, and we got a bargain on the hotel. The staff is ridiculously helpful. They knew we had to leave at 5 am to catch our flight, and they packed us really nice boxed breakfasts knowing we wouldn't have time to eat. We had lunch and dinner the day before at the hotel, and everything was very good. There are 3 different restaurants on the property, and it's surrounded by a mall with other food choices should you care to venture out. It was a bit bland for an IHG hotel, but the rooms were very nice with good amenities. I particularly liked the pool. I would highly recommend property if you find yourself staying in Managua.

Very nice hotel, friendly and attentive staff

We had an overnight stay in the Real Intercontinental Managua. The hotel is located in a secure area, and we found it to be very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Managua.
