The Radisson Experience

Though the stay was fairly pleasant, the unsubstantiated charge to my account left a bitter taste in my mouth. This took place despite my expression of discomfort in leaving my credit card details at the Reception.

Okay if you are just staying over for the night. No ambiance at all. We were just using this hotel as an overnight before leaving for one of the islands. I'm not sure how it compared to the others in the area, but it wasn't anything special at all

The customer here really is fantastic!

I stay here for 4-6 weeks every year and often forget to write a review. This property is incredibly safe, clean, and staffed by some of the friendliest, most helpful staff imaginable. From the time I arrive, the people at the front desk greet me with warm smiles and welcome me back "Home". The business center is always available and the staff there has gone above and beyond on more than one occasion. The food here seems to keep improving each time I return. The menus were just changed around and I'm loving the new options. The hotel has two main structures. I prefer to stay at the main building. The quality of the internet and wifi seems to have improved since my last visit right after the hurricane in August. The breakfast buffet is well worth it so if there is an option to purchase that with a room when reserving I'd recommend doing so. The Sunday Brunch is also worth checking out if you're more into the lunch options. Anyway, thank you to all the men and women that go above and beyond for me each and every time I stay here in Belize City. My apologies but there isn't enough space to mention everyone by name and thank them.

Overpriced!

Firstly I have to say that the room service staff are excellent here. We were both sick when we arrived and room service was amazing especially when you can't leave your room. The room was adequate but not by any means luxurious considering the prices the radisson charge - we paid €177 per night. The shower was a bath/shower setup and pretty basic. The rooms are not worth that money. There was a balcony but it is shared with another room...which is not great if the people staying in the other room are on the balcony late at night. Impossible to sleep with the noise. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every door close next to you even down the corridor outside. We found it very difficult to sleep in the room with all the noise. The gaps under all the doors does not help this matter. All in all the hotel is old and needs a bit of upgrading, particularly for the price they charge. A tip for anyone going to the airport: The shuttle that the hotel has is $15US per person but if you walk outside and get a taxi it is $25US fixed fare so a taxi works out better if there are more than one of you.

Belikin Beer. Calendar girls event

From UK, went to this event last night 26th Nov. Held at the hotel. Why do they allow this event? Full of drunken brawling locals, 2 big fights broke out in the bar, bottles flying around, absolutely disgraceful. Had suspicions when noticed police were present from the outset. Check for events when booking and if locals are allowed STAY CLEAR, you could get hurt.
