Some inconvinience
JERRY T.
Aug 04 2012
When doing reservations, there was no flight code to confirm flights. I tried airline and booking number but was unsuccessful. I had to call apple to get flight code or confirmation number to check in. Arriving at airport in Cabo , the pick up person w Apple Vacation sign was pleasant but when he checked reservation he had us going to Pueblo Bonito Rose. It was a little unease since it was our first time in Cabo. After making phone calls he got the approval to transport us to Pueblo Bonito Sunset. Almost as if it was an inconvinience to them. Checking into hotel was normal but the room was limited with ocean view. Staying at a 5 star I would of thought to get a better room, especialy since I got all inclusive. I was offered an upgrade for a fee. Other than that , the other and final problem that pertains to apple is that when it was time to leave I had a difficult time getting picked up. Again with the Rose hotel. Because on their record thats where I was staying. Even though on my itinarary it was Sunset. Hotel concierge helped as much as they could but in the end I had to pay for my transportation.

When I arrived at the airport in Shreveport was informed I did not have a seat on the flight from Houston to Cabo. My mom switched with me and spent the night in Houston Airport and paid for a room in Cabo which she didn't get to enjoy which was also through you and then after arriving the next day her room was not ready. Unbelievable!!!!!!

A wonderful week in the sun

This was our first all inclusive vacation in over 10 years and we were very pleased: the food and drink were very good, not outstanding but very good. We went to Mexican night at the buffet and were so impressed with the mariachi band, the best I have ever heard. All the rooms have a great view of the ocean where we watched the whales do their daily jumping off shore. The resort is built on a cliff which I found very attractive, it spread out all the units dispersing the guests. The room was well equipped with a kitchen which we did not use. There are 5 pools, each with their own theme and service, find your niche! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Check in and check out was so speedy it happened in a blink of an eye.

We Love this resort and the people there. Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. On our last visit the was a young fellow named Trini lbarra who was one of the go cart drivers. He helped us with our luggage and a few shuttles around the resort. ( we try to walk most of the time) Trini was definitely a asset to Pueblo Bonito as he was so friendly and energetic and was more then willing to help out and always said hi when you met. He maid our stay even better as we do look at this resort as a home away from home and are glad we made another friend in Cabo !!

The poor reviews are spot on!

This place is not it all what it’s cracked up to be. CHECK-IN: Once having arrived the check in process for even the supposedly VIP experience is long and arduous. Although our reservations had been made through RCI and confirmed, our check-in experience was a mess as I didn’t have the required printed copy! I was made to search my email and when I couldn’t find it created a great deal of anxiety. An hour later after having called RCI they faxed the reservation in. TIME SHARE SHANGHAI - OMG are you kidding me? Right after the check in fiasco we were nabbed by two women asking us how we got to the resort and babbling about all sorts of promotions - finally, I asked if this was a timeshare promo and they finally answered it was but to be sure to sign up with only them! Aha . . . Guess what? That means you are hit up AGAIN by the people arranging your transportation to your room! AND GUESS WHAT? These people find you while you are eating and absolutely will not take no for an answer! GOING TO THE PRESENTATION- they must have hired recently released mental patients to do the presentations! Not enough words to describe the craziness here. Your promised 90 min turns into a nail biting session of pure torture listening to a presenter tell us all about his days in Canadian special forces and his dream vacation with his wife and his rheumatoid arthritis. Our friends had a presenter who talked politics and Hillary Clinton the entire 90 minutes never once asking if they would be interested in buying! ROOM - the view is spectacular and the rooms are spacious. They told me I would not have a stove top but we did. NO HOT WATER - so, we can’t get any (really) hot water and neither can our friends in their rooms. MEALS - all inclusive is ok but a real PITA as no matter where you eat or when in all of the bars and restaurants you have to sign a ticket! Why!!? We were told that all tips were included but it is obvious that tips are required for decent service. Made to order Chinese food in the Marketplace was served cold and having to stand in line for 15 min for one piece of re-heated pizza was mind bending when hangry! GETTING AROUND - the resort is huge - REALLY huge! Lots of hills and steps. Transports can be called but often there is a long wait. CONCLUSION - will never return.

Amazing property, excellent pool service and romantic views!

My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday from Jan 11th to the 17th. The weather was perfect, not to hot or cold even at night. The food was awesome (the market Mexicana tacos are delicious) and the Tazuna sushi restaurant was amazing! (Especially if you can eat a ton of sushi and you have the all inclusive). We are foodies and it was fresh and delicious. The Frida restaurant had a surcharge (hardly anything for the experience) that was totally worth it. The ambiance was beautiful and you have to get the special hot chocolate at the end. Its a whole fire show! One last thing, if you are at villa 17 and go to the pool, Sibhid is the man. He was so friendly and kind to make us feel taken care of everyday when we came to the pool, he was there greeting us and wanted to make sure he took care of us. We made sure to tip him well because he was so wonderful and we appreciated him making us feel like we were on vacation and there to have a good time. For my boyfriends bday, I asked Sibhid if he could do something special the day before. On my boyfriends bday we came down to the pool with our seats ready for us and Sibhid had a cake with writing on it for my boyfriend! He was awesome and I highly recommend going to that pool by villa 17 and ask for him. Thanks Sibhid! You’re awesome! This place was beautiful and I highly recommend the all inclusive if you love food and drinking. 👌

I was Carbo for a wedding that took place at the Pueblo bonito sunset beach resort. It was a perfect relaxing four day stay. I have to mention that the workers were great and doing an awesome job especially Fernando Romero from the sky pool kept us in a perfect relaxing mood with specific made drinks for us. He was really nice and made our stay at carbo so much better. Also thank you to the bell boy Benjamin Avila, he was really patient in waiting for us and was showing us around. All in all I really recommend to stay at this hotel the workers are all great, totally lovely and funny. Thank you a lot ! P.s. here I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets i have ever seen in my life
