shuttle service sucks!!!
WENDEE C.
Nov 30 2012
we had a 4:30pm flight in which we were picked up at 12:10 for. this 4.5 hour time was spent driving to another hotel to pick up passangers that never showed up. we sat in the car with no explaination for 45 minutes. finally I found our driver and asked what the hell was going on. he proceeded to wrap up looking for the missing passangers and took us to the airport. we were so early for our flight there was nobody in the terminal to check the flight in. sat waiting for another hour until a desk attendant for our airlines checked us in. we then had two more hours to wait for our flight at the gate. you really need to better coordindate the shuttle serivce since that wasted the better half of a day for nothing. Overall the hotel was good. the only issues were the staff was incredibly slow in bringing you your drinks (avg. 20-30 minutes) and food (Avg about an hour). The hotels website specifically says no tipping, but every restaurant you visited and every service provided, you were told that a tip would be appreciated. Now- generally, I do tip, but not when food arrives and hour after ordering and when your beverage arrives 30 minutes after ordering.

Beach was not swimable but there should be chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the view and beach experience. Food was excellent. Bathrooms were disappointing because no tub and only one sink and the bath area was tight. The necessity to sign a ticket for every item even though it is all inclusive is very annoying!!!

Perfect getaway for a couple! Go VIP in The Towers!
Aimee L,

We spent our honeymoon staying at The Towers section of Pacifica. We went All-Inclusive and had a butler who checked in with us on everything. He made sure we had dinner reservations, a spot at the pool with an umbrella, spa appointments, gold reservations, and he surprised us with multiple bottles of champagne and desserts. It was truly magical. Ask for Manual if can, as he was the best! As a VIP at The Towers, you have access to the Lounge which is open from 8AM to 8PM and serves 3 meals, snacks, and a full bar. It was a great escape from the busy pool and more intimate. The 3 restaurants are all fantastic, and the buffet breakfast/brunch was def worth it. If you are looking for a place away from kids that is beautiful and fully stacked, go here!

"Celebrating our 35th Anniversary at the beautiful PBP"

My husband and I recently stayed at this awesome resort for six days as we celebrated our Anniversary. The early morning walks on the beach together watching the waves crash into the shore were a great bonding experience and very relaxing. I believe this resort to be an amazing hidden gem in Cabo San Lucas. It sits alone at the bottom of a hill looking out to the Pacific Ocean with no other resorts blocking the spectacular views on either side of the resort. No swimming in the ocean so swam at two of the best pools I've ever swam in, the bottom and sides of the pools had small rocks that felt wonderful on the feet and didn't snag your swim suit and access in and out was easy with steps and a hand rail. Check out the pools at night with the LD lights lighting them up or have an evening swim under the stars. This is a quiet, small resort, great for relaxing with two very good restaurants; our favorite being the Siempre. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed, just unbelievable the choices and the dessert table looked like a work of art with fancy desserts. We made dinner reservations at the concierges desk as soon as we arrived for the restaurants to avoid disappointment, no problems as we later found out the resort was at about 69% occupancy. Try the Peninsula Bar for a refreshing cocktail with a stunning view of the ocean, we liked this bar the best, we had Beefeater Gin and tonic, very tasty. People commented that this resort is boring; we did find it to be quieter activity wise, but we made the most of our time walking, dining, swimming, reading, playing Ping-Pong, touring the golf course and sister resort Sunset. The rooms are standard, clean, great bed and pillows, amazing view of the ocean, we were happy travellers. Thank you to the employees at the resort for all they did to make our stay a great one!

Beautiful stay! Bad Taxi fee

My wife and I visited this resort for 4 days in August And had a wonderful time. The grounds are well keep , staff is very helpful and polite in manner. The room were well keep ,clean ,comfortable, a/c, All facing inward to pool & ocean views . Food was plentiful at any given time of the day. We chose to go all inclusive with 24 hr room service with a huge menu delicious food. Beach was amazing & beautiful, but you cannot swim because of the rip tide ,We have to take a taxi into the marina in town to enjoy the beach. No biggie ! Pool was nice but slow drink service but tip and the drink come much faster. Only con- Taxi fee Resort offers many different types of shuttle services at lower cost but you have to be very patient. My taxi this morning cost us $120 to the airport.!! This is the only thing you have to watch out for. If you're taking a taxi and you're leaving the hotel to air port just tell them that you're going to stay at the sister hotel. The taxi driver informed us He has to pay the hotel $70 then pay his gas and tolls . So tell them you're going to a sister hotel and save yourself $70 ! We had to be at the airport at 7:30 before the hotel shuttle is running at 9:00 . Outside of that everything with this resort was excellent! Pueblo PacĂfica - I fell you should find a better transportation to the airport at a reasonable cost. I'm very Thankful for the amazing stay ! Y'all are all awesome and thank you ! We will be back !!

Once an exceptional resort, now very average

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and I go way back--almost 10 years and 7 trips. My favorite days were back when it was a "Holistic Resort and Spa." I loved the tranquility, the idyllic beach, the adults-only non-spring-break atmosphere, top-notch service, and the really great fish tacos served poolside. The rooms were always pretty straightforward (think shower but no bath), but comfortable and clean with a beautiful view, and that's all I ever wanted. I think that over the years Pacifica has become a victim of its own success, and now it is morphing into one of those impersonal mega-resorts that is focused on selling time shares/vacation clubs and not so much on detail-oriented service. I preferred it when it was not all-inclusive. Fewer people day drunk at the pool, more thoughtful presentation of food and beverage. The much lauded building of the "Towers" only made matters worse. It's not worth the up-sell, and adding that much capacity to a perfect-sized resort made it too big, too impersonal, and all of the facilities more crowded. To be fair, the resort is still very beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The gym is lovely. The food is above average, although the recipe for the poolside fish tacos changed and so it's not quite as good as in the past. The service is a hot mess, with one shining exception--Braulio, the ever-helpful, sweet, and conscientious server at Siempre. He was a breath of fresh air in the midst of an otherwise disappointing slew of staff interactions. If all the staff could model their service on Braulio, the resort would be worthy of five stars. Check-in was a very impersonal affair, sign here, sign there, here's a photocopied stack of legal documents, here's a wristband but in order to get it you have to listen to my monologue about vacation clubs--this after I politely indicated that I wasn't interested. The room had some minor cleanliness issues such as a stain on the bedspread and waterspots on the mirror. There was an absence of toiletries. I flagged down a house-keeping staff person to ask for shampoo and was given several bottles labeled "bubble bath." She said it was all they have--mysterious because they don't even have bath tubs in the rooms, and they did have hair conditioner. None of the toiletries were re-stocked all week. So bring your own shampoo and conditioner, people. Poolside service was a bit of a wreck. They were frequently out of towels. Although they are trying hard to implement call buttons that you press for service--great idea!, it doesn't work if no one comes, which was the case much of the time. Orders just got forgotten, at one point I put in an order 3 times for something but it never came so I just walked in to the restaurant to ask for it and walked it back myself. The two bars were woefully understaffed, such that going up to one of them and expecting to order a drink and get out with it in less than 15 minutes was not realistic. I can't fault the bartender at all--he was hustling, but needed more help. Also, it seemed that the dishwasher wasn't working so he was out of glasses and washing them by dunking them in soapy water and then putting new cocktails in them. I literally watched him do that. Not super hygienic. Other guests were smoking all over the resort, but especially by the bar, even though it is supposed to be nonsmoking. It was disappointing that the staff did nothing about this. The service at the restaurants was well-meaning but plagued by inadequate staff training and poor attention to detail. On night one, I was seated at a table where I was missing a fork and a napkin. I asked for them and got the fork but not the napkin. The next day, soup was served but without a spoon, which I asked for, but eventually just got up and found myself after waiting 10 minutes--mind you this is at a restaurant trying to bill itself as fine dining, where there is a $50 supplement beyond the all inclusive plan for many of the main courses. "Medium" steak was served so raw in the center that it was cold, etc, etc. All a pile of small gripes but they added up over time. Overall, I am really sad to see this resort that I loved and have so many fond memories of go in this direction. Some strong attention to customer service--especially at the poolside (Aire) and in the restaurants could stop this unwanted trend. I'm not sure if I'll come back even after all these times because this was such a disappointing contrast to my prior experiences here.

Items Stolen From Hotel Room
zainam123, Los Angeles, California
Sun Aug 12 14:50:14 EDT 2018
Not only was there nothing to do at the resort, but we had items stolen from our room. When we tried reporting it, we kept getting the run around from every single worker. We were put on hold on the phone. We went to the front desk who told us to come back tomorrow morning (we noticed the items were missing late at night). When we went back to the front desk the next morning, we were accused of lying. They refused to let us file an official report, and unfortunately there wasn't much we could do since we had to leave to catch our flight. Also, hotel staff walked in on the room without notice. I was taking a nap and woke up to the sound of two men walking in despite having the PRIVACY tag on the door. Very unsafe. When we got back, not a single hotel staff was helpful through email or over the phone. This was a horrendous honeymoon I can never get back.
