It is a beautiful hotel (one of the nicest in Acapulco) with 3 nice swimming pools, 2 of them with great waterfalls. The hotel is front beach in revolcadero. In November the ocean was warm and great for kids and adults. The staff is very kind and always willing to attend any of your requirements. This one was my fifht time in this hotel in the last 3 years. Great experience

Huge resort with vintage infrastructure from the 80's, outdated furniture everywhere, old elevators, pools are ok. The worst is the extremely loud music in the lobby from an evening show and then the band moves to one of the bars. It can be heard from absolutely every corner of the hotel. We were in the 14th floor and you could hear it as if you were right in front of the battery player. They don't stop until midnight. Front desk just doesn't care if you complain. At one point there was mariachi playing in one of the pools simultaneously while the band was playing mexican old rock music from the 80's. All this around 10 pm. If loud music is your thing then go for it but if you're looking for a goodnight's sleep, forget about this place. Management has a crooked idea of what mexican hospitality should be. One of the worst places I've ever stayed in, and will absolutely not recommend it to anyone.

We travelled to Riveria Maya for a 2 week holiday but due to a few days of rain decided to take a flight to Acapulco and I'm really glad we did. Loved it. The rooms were very nice. Clean and very spacious with great views. The staff were very friendly and the hotel grounds were spotless. The breakfast selection was fantastic and the gym was one of the best I've been to when traveling all of the equipment was brand new. The price was great value the only disappointment was for such a big hotel there was one restaurant to dine in the evening and it was very poor. An Italian which really was below average. Service was slow and food almost inedible. Location was perfect so would definitely return.

Great property, poor service

I stayed here for 4 days in November with my wife and in-laws. Overall, I enjoyed the hotel. The property is beautiful and clean, and I enjoyed the pools and the beach. The hotel: The hotel itself was great. The grounds are beautiful and kept up very well. The hotel was pretty empty while we were there so we had plenty of privacy and quiet to relax. We made use of all of the pools as well as the beach. We were able to rent palapas easily to use on the beach and were always able to find chairs. Room: We stayed in the Perla tower. The room was clean and very comfortable. I would have preferred the King bed, but oh well. I wish the A/C went a little lower, but that wasn't a big deal. Beautiful view of the property and the ocean from our balcony. Food: We ate at the buffet once for dinner. It was pretty good. I'm not a big buffet person but everyone seemed to like it. The rest of my party used the buffet every morning for breakfast and they had no complaints that I heard. We ate one night in the Italian restaurant and really enjoyed that. Service was good at that restaurant. The service: This is where everything falls apart. For a hotel like the Princess where everything is so beautiful, the service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. It started immediately upon check-in. The gentleman who checked us in initially gave us a room with a double. I showed him my reservation that I had booked a King, and he told me that at the Princess, you cannot book specific bed types only views and bed types are first come first served. I tried to explain that on the website you are given the options for the different bed types, which is why I had chosen King. At this point he decided to stop speaking in English with me and only addressing my wife in Spanish. I was never rude or anything with him. I simply was trying to understand why I could pick a room on the website, yet he was telling me I couldn't. My misunderstanding seemed to make him mad and he just wanted to be done with the conversation. I just accepted the room because I really didn't want to begin my vacation by arguing with the guy over a bed. Every evening when we would sit down to the lobby bar, we would wait about 15 minutes before we would have to go and find somebody to wait on us. There was never more than 2 tables there at a time, and the servers were just standing around the bar, but would not come and wait on us until we would go to them and ask them to. At the beach, we didn't see our first waiter until 45 minutes after we arrived. Three separate orders he simply never brought at all. No mention of them, no anything, just as if we never ordered them. After we had used the food/beverage credit from the palapa rental, we closed out the tab with the hotel server and switched to the public restaurant guys on the beach who took great care of us. Maybe this is what the hotel wants, but it was really sad to see. At a hotel like that, you expect above and beyond service, but what we received was service you might get from a motel. As much as I loved the property, i'd have to think long and hard about coming back because of it.

This property is huuuuge and has some awesome amenities for families and or just couples on honeymoon. Loved the lobby area with the open air so you can see the ocean, the aztec ruin theme and the cool water features. The front desk service was very accommodating and had a nice check in even though we made it late from our flight. The bellman followed us to our room and made sure we had all we needed. The room was a good size and the furniture was average and could use some updating. The bed was firm and pillows kind of flat. The outlets plugs were either hidden or in an odd place where you had to charge devices on the floor or on a chair. Loved our view of the pools and ocean. The grounds are well kept. Visited the spa shop. It was a busy Saturday and they were all booked up for a wedding. Cafe Chocolat was great for on the go food and coffee beverages. Tavola was a delight to eat at. Went on a slow night and the Chef came out and spoke to all the tables dining. They had a lovely local red wine selection. We enjoyed the the Chef specials of the night shrimp fettuccine and salmon ravioli and then split a decadent tiramisu for dessert. One complaint I have was that on the last night I had ordered room service and asked for a chicken caesar salad and hamburger. Husband enjoyed the hamburger. However the salad made my stomach messed up for the last week. A friend that traveled with us but had a separate room had the same issue. We both ordered the same exact salad at the same time. Other than that we enjoyed our trip to Acapulco.
