This was my first time in Alcapulco and first time at a resort that offered all inclusive and European plan. It took sometime getting used to as you are recquired to sign your bill at each meal and each drink. I was all inclusive, yet still had to sign. There are certain restaurants that if you add or upgrade something on your meal, ( ei lobster tails) you may have to pay something extra. The restaurant and bar bills always showed tip amounts in them. I was confused with that and didnt tip as much as I would if any after seeing that. Still confused if it was included as part of all inclusive I paid, or reccomended amount to tip. Their english if any is very broken, but I did know a bit of Spanish ti grt me through. There was a huge conference at the time, Anarchapulco and loved the vibr and atmosphere all over the hotel. They do nothing fancy in rooms for valentines or towel displays. ( Im used to this in Playa del carmen) so it didnt matter what I tipped. Room was always cleaned to good standards. Walk to beach is like 2 steps and a view was accesible to the ocean on every floor through patio doors accessible to all. My view was over golf course and Alcapulco. Cant wait to go back.

We spent three days from Sunday May 6 to Tuesday May 8 in Pyramid tower. Everything was excellent, service, meals, pools. We definitely will return in the future. My particular thanks to Susana Lorenzo for her kind help to chose the best for us accommodation. We also appreciate greatly the night service when our towels were changed, bathroom cleaned and fresh drinking water delivered.

Rooms smells very bad, like cigarette Lack of maintenances Room carpet are dirty and smelly I would give 3 1/2 starts not 5 It seems mundo Imperial acquired the hotel and ruin the whole experience, since they do not know anything about operating a hotel

Great service in a bit tired hotel

Even if the hotel feels a bit old, the service was EXCELLENT. No complaints at all. The pools were a bit crowded and families shouldn't party at night in the poll areas because they make a lot of noise. But overall, nice. Not good that they charge you to use the Beach. Nice and ample rooms. Good food. Really enjoyed my stay

Tired hotel with tired staff

This hotel is past its prime. From the outside and in the common areas the hotel looks nice. But once inside the rooms you get a real feel of how old the hotel is. The rooms (particularly the bathrooms) are really in need of an update. Our room was bordering on shabby . . . not what we expected at the price we paid. The service was also sub par. We arrived at 9:30 pm, hot and tired after a long day of travel. It took 20-30 minutes to check into the hotel, serviced by a grump receptionist who obviously didn't enjoy his job. The following night we tried the overpriced buffet and the cook at the meat station was equally grumpy. Looking at me like I'd stolen his life savings when I asked for a piece of meat to be well cooked. I would not stay at this hotel again.
