Comfortable hotel in Barcelona

The good hotel in business area "Les corts" of Barcelona but close to the city centre. Reasonable to book high floors as there are 2 roads around. Air conditioning is old so can be problem in hot season. Good staff, good breakfast, comfortable beds. Will stay once again with pleasure but in a premium room. El Corte ingles just 5 minutes walking!!! Pedralbes is also in walking distance. Green line of underground which is nearby, the most attractive for sightseeing:) can recommend this hotel for Barcelona holidays! More>

Lovely hotel, not the best location

The best thing about this hotel is the staff as they were all so helpful and friendly, despite the fact our group took up the whole hotel and many of us weren't the easiest of guests (it was pre cruise and not everything went smoothly!). The breakfast buffet was fine, lots of choice and some lovely cold meats and cheeses. I didn't try room service so can't comment on that. The rooms were ok, comfortable and clean and a reasonable size. However, given this is an Intercontinental hotel I was expecting something more from it. The location is also a bit rubbish as you're not really near anything touristy. Luckily there is a stop for the on-off tourist bus about 50 metres up the road, so if you're planning on taking that (and I do recommend it) then it's convenient for that. There's also a Starbucks (where the bus stop is) if you need a crappy American coffee to kick start your day. And there is also a large shopping mall about 300 metres up the road, which is full of some great little shops and a huge food hall with plenty of choices for dinner or lunch. The football stadium is also very close by if you're planning on catching a game whilst you're in town. I didn't pay for my room as this was a work trip, so I can't comment on value. As I say, the staff are definitely the best thing about this hotel so if that's important to you then I can recommend this hotel. More>

Amazing hotel with the best service of any hotel I've stayed in. Warmest of welcomes by Carlos in whom upgraded us to the honeymoon suite with a little honeymoon surprise waiting for us. The room itself was superb and had a beautiful view. All staff members were beyond friendly and helpful in any way needed. On top of all that, delicious breakfast to start off every morning. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Ahmed and Yesmein elhawli More>

The hotel was good and more of an old world 5 star as opposed to new world. I went to the Barcelona game on the Sunday and it was only a short 5-10 minute walk. Staff were all friendly and they loaned me an umbrella for the rain. The room service menu was limited and the breakfast was fine with fairly good choices. One morning I did wake up to brown water and when reporting it the hotel did say that the experienced some form of problem. It was OK again in the evening. Also experienced what could have been refurbishment noise in the morning and later afternoon and really the hotel could have mentioned this but it was OK as during the day. More>

Have stayed here many times before. Love the hotel and the people.

Must place to say. Near the Metro. Pedro and Luis floor level and Alicia at the Club make a stay worthwhile and memorable. Use their knowledge of BACA to your advantage while your there. All the best. More>
