The Rooms were excellent, the service was super and the Breakfast was so good with plenty of choices. An amazing hotel that is well worth staying in. The concierge Pedro Moron was so helpful, very friendly and was a key person in planning our touristic visits.

Our fitst trip to Barcelona, a beautiful city, but what made it more enjoyable was staring at the Pirincesa Sofia. We had a junior suite at the Club Level (floors 16-18) and it was a wonderful experience. The Club on level 18 has many amentities plus a staff that tend to all your needs anywhere in the city. The breakfast for Club members is on th 19th floor, with a spectacular view of the city. If we return, no question we would stay here again.

Perfect place to live if visiting Camp Nou. Let all others line up for taxis and buses while you take a 10-15 minutes walk to stadium. Nice standard all over and the service outstanding!! From the arrival in the reception,in the bar,the cleaning ladies and the concierge service always smiling and arranging what you need. And as an absolute top,
when I asked about transport to airport just after match the concierge offered lift because it was on his way home after work! Can you get it better??? Only problem is that you spend some time in taxi during normal day,as all other activities than football are situated other places. But sightseeing buses stop just outside door,if being a real tourist:) And if you like the 5 star experience but do not have a need to pay many hundred Euros per night, this alternative is among the best.

My son and I stayed @ Gran Hotel Princesa Sofia for 4 nights. Great location if you're visiting FC Barcelona literally a stones throw from the magnificent NouCamp stadium. Metro into Las Ramblas is a 5 min walk, so still very conveniently located to get into city centre. The hotel is pretty grand and the staff are all very polite and helpful, especially the conceirge desk staff. Pedro was a god send, not only did he get us 2 tickets for the super cup game the following night we arrived but also gave us excellent advise on where to eat and best way to get around. The hotel room was very clean and some of the most comfortable beds around, nice small bar but pricey and good selection of breakfast although the chef only cooked fried eggs. I was looking forward to omelettes but nevertheless it was a nice brekkie. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the day of the game and the food was good and reasonably priced. There are many restaurants and bars outside which I'd recommend and convenient stores dotted around, so stock up on water and snacks as room mini bar is a rip off. Barca is a great city and a must for all to visit.
Very out of the centre

This hotel is nice. Be prepared for an hours bus ride to the beach and a little less to the city centre. Staff are amazing! Breakfast is lovely and lots of choice. The whole hotel has a business feel about it and is not at all touristy or really for holidays. If you are here for the city I would suggest you stay much closer to the city, especially if you are with a young family. We were okay getting the bus in and out of the town but it took a long time. Pool is okay, noting special. The restaurants are great but there is no one there! It's deserted which is such a shame as the food is lovely! You can have such a laugh with the staff! Although it's nice, I would really recommend a hotel much closer to the city and beach!
