There is something romantic about white linens and navy blue pillows on beds that look over crystal clear water full of great SNORKELING. Do look for the shipwreck. Bring.your.under water camera. Bring your kids or romantic partner for a day of picturesque scenery and quality service. Yes, wave runners, diving, stand up paddle and More. Great restaurants or have a coconut by the beach. A favorite spot in the world.

Absolutely Perfect

I cannot say enough about how great this resort is. We stayed here from the 2nd to the 6th of September which was great since it seems like that is the slow period. There must have been only 20 people staying at the resort while we were there. The only issue we had was on the first night of our stay. We had reserved just a standard room for the week. When we got to our room the temperature of the room was freezing at 16 degrees Celsius. You couldn't even walk on the tile barefoot without feeling like your feet would get frostbite. We tried to set the temperature to 22 degrees Celsius but somehow the A/C just decided to get colder and it dropped to 15 degrees! So after a couple hours we just turned the A/C off to warm the room. When we woke up the next morning, the room was extremely humid and still cold, and everything in the room was wet. We told the front desk about the problem and asked if they could move us to another room. The front desk staff were more than gracious to assist us and told us they would have another room ready for us in an hour. So we went to the beach and then later we came back to get the key to our new room. It was not at all what we were expecting when we asked for a new room. Instead of giving us another standard room they upgraded us to a Suite on the top floor over looking the ocean. It was beautiful! Everything else at the resort was perfect. The food especially at the Mediterranean styled beach restaurant was excellent. My girlfriend who is French and thus very picky about her food and is quick to criticize the quality of food, could not find a single bad thing to say about it. The drinks were great as well. Most importantly the service was perfect. The waiters and bartenders went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, but not to the point where we they would check on us every 5 minutes. They have tremendous professionalism here. And that is for everyone working at the resort. The private beach at this resort is beautiful and very relaxing. There has been a very bad problem with seaweed piling up on the beaches in cancun and Playa del Carmen, but Cozumel seemed to be totally unaffected, at least on the west side of the island. But as I mentioned earlier, the private beaches at the resort are tremendous and romantic. I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend in Tulum, but when we got there the beaches were disgusting and smelly because of the seaweed. So we decided to go back to the resort and have a sunset picnic on the beach there. I could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. I guarantee we will be coming back here in the future after this remarkable experience we had here. Thank you to the El Presidente for the wonderful vacation.

Wow! what an awesome hotel with picture perfect views. Great restaurants on property to suit every appetite with delicious food. Activities including lounging by the pool on the day beds, the cabana's which were equipped with TV,Fridge and ceiling fan. The beaches had snorkeling and was awesome in crystal clear water as was the Discover Scuba class at the hotel (instructor Gabriel was fantastic!). The stay was amazing and the staff was amazing too. Very special thank-you's to Geyder, Fernando, Manuel, Thomas, Israel, Ana, and Marisol who really made my vacation at the hotel most enjoyable :-). I highly recommend this hotel AAAAA+++++

What a fantastic place Cozumel is!! This trip we stayed at the Presidente and it was fabulous! It is the best hotel on the island, and it is also the highest priced hotel on the island...yet you get what you pay for! Spacious rooms, excellent service, great beach front, wonderful pool and excellent dive shop! One particular thing that you get here and no where else is the turn down service each night...where they replenish your towels, bring ice, etc... and the best part...Leave a Mayan story on your bed about the island. We loved reading our story each night. The check in and out process was fast and all of our servers and attendants through out the week were spot on from taking our orders, being pro-active of what we might want and remembering us. I had stayed here 8 years ago and loved it, and they are still hospitality first! I cannot wait to visit again!

Me and my family were in this hotel for a week, it was hard to leave the place. When we first got there, we were a little concerned as they didn’t upgrade our room and we had a simple sea view, in the building, far from everything, but then Fernando helped us choosing the right room for our taste...and it was incredible, steps from the beach, the pool and the beach restaurant (which will get a separated review) and is amazing! I highly recommend this hotel (and cozumel at all) if you are in Mexico! Heaven on earth! We have been to the maldives many times and this was the closest place in beauty we encountered till now! Thank you Fernando and Intercontinental team, this stay was exactly what we were looking for and I will be sending many people to your Top Star hotel!!!!
