Everything about this hotel was top notch. The staff was so friendly and eager to make sure all our needs were met. The grounds were beautiful, the room was very clean and we had maid service and turndown service daily. Our flight wasn't until midnight and they allowed us to checkout at 4:00pm, which was perfect. Loved it and would definitely recommend and return!

The hotel and staff are top notch. This is a clean, quiet and beautiful place to stay. It has fantastic snorkeling right in front of the hotel. On site restaurant is very good but somewhat expensive. Compared to other hotels on the island, this is one of the best. Definately will return.

Nice resort on Cozumel

I have stayed at this hotel three times over the years, with consistently good to excellent results. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the setting very pleasant, and the staff is attentive and courteous. Although I haven't sampled all the restaurants, the two outside restaurants were both reliable and pleasant. Suggestions for management: (1) wooden slats in the men's poolside bathroom to walk on, (2) consolidating the $12 per day "resort fee" into the room rate (to reduce surprises, (3) a little more diligence in making sure that the complimentary daily allotment of drinking water is actually distributed to the rooms, and (4) bikes for rent or loan (with helmets, of course).

Bedbug Nightmare

Choose this hotel at your own risk. We paid &1000 a night for a beachfront suite (5128) over Christmas week. The night after arriving, my legs had a track of with itchy swollen bites. Throughout our weeklong stay, every morning, my husband and would I wake up with new bites. Naively, we thought we were being attacked by spiders or having an extreme allergic reaction to mosquitos. I could hardly sleep at night, and have never had such an exhausting vacation. By the time we checked out at the end of the week, I had more than 50 bites all over my legs, arms, hands, feet and neck. I could hardly sleep at all, and my entire body was on fire with itching. My husband was also miserable. Thinking, I had a severe case of hives, I rushed straight to the doctor as soon as we got home. You can imagine my shock when I was referred to a dermatologist, who informed me that I had an extremely severe case of bedbug bites. (One of the worst he had ever seen.) I was advised that we needed to hire an exterminator and have a licensed inspection immediately. Unfortunately, we had stored our suitcases on the padded benches at the foot of the bed in the hotel and probably carried at least one home in our luggage. We have spent the last two weeks hiring exterminators, having to do hundreds of loads of laundry and sterilize every item of clothing that was exposed to our hotel room and suitcases. A ruined vacation, thousands of dollars and hundred of wasted hours later (not to mention the mental anguish of worrying that you may have bugs in your bed), the Presidente Intercontintal Resort has disavowed all responsibility and claims they have no bedbug problem. Two licensed exterminators and a dermatologist specializing in insect bites have certified otherwise.

THE BEST Place To Stay In Cozumel! Hands down.

My husband and I have been to Cozumel at least 5-6 times. We love Presidente so much we got married there in 2015. (And that was before the AMAZING renovation they did!) The service is impeccable. We tried another new hotel once and will never break from tradition again. You have multiple places to eat at. (4... 5 if you include their little sweets cafe). The beach is pristine and well kept. GREAT snorkel and shore dive location. (Both day and night!) If you're planning a wedding there, I could not have asked for a better venue and planner. They have it down! I didn't worry about anything. I told them what I wanted, what colors, and a very basic layout and that was it. They took care of everything! We even had a small fireworks show off the shore that was amazing! The rooms are insanely comfortable and private. EVERYTHING has been remodeled and redone. EVERYTHING. They even redid the pool area. It's beautiful, it's peaceful, it's professional, and it's worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and become an Intercontinental member. You'll get a room upgrade every time you stay. Worth it to me and my husband. Their dive shop is super awesome too. They take care of everything and we always have a great time. I love Presidente and I know you and your loved one will too!

Perfect Resort Experience in Cozumel

This was our first time here, and I would definitely return if I revisit Cozumel. The resort is well-designed, the staff is super-attentive, always available and friendly, and our room was spacious with a nice view of the quieter adult pool and ample towels, linens and accessories. Both the larger main pool and the smaller adult pool are clean and heated, and nicely lit up at night. It is probably not the best beachfront, since it’s fairly rocky and rough except for the small beach area near the main swimming pool. But tourists mostly come for the diving, since it’s Cozumel. The gym is surprisingly well-stocked with a pretty glassed-in view. There are 4 restaurants (which I reviewed separately), but none was overly expensive with some good Mexican and seafood entree choices. I do wish they had a gift shop which stocked better crafts, snacks and some basic toiletries. But other than that small detail, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.

We went to the Cozumel triathlon and we stayed there. I loved everything, the staff is so friendly, the food is excellent. All the design and decoration of the hotel is nice. The rooms are spacious with a nice view. If you go to a triathlon, you can leave your bike parked inside the hotel. The location is so nice. You can swim on the sea because they have like a natural swimming pool. You have all the facilities to take your children. They will have fun swimming with all the fishes on a safe area. The spa is nice too.
