Older than expected

The hotel room was in need of paint and plumbing issues. Towels were old and thin, sheets and bedspread were old and thin. The grounds, pool, and beach were excellent. The food was good with fresh cooked items. The service was excellent and we did enjoy our stay.

Great Place for the Price!

My husband and I found cheap flights to Cabo San Lucas, and decided to search and see if we could find any all inclusive places that were cheap and nice to stay at. We searched on apple.com and came across Posada Real. We didn't have high expectations, knowing it was a three star resort, but we were looking for a budget trip with a beach. We were so pleasantly surprised by Posada Real. It is a dated resort, but everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful. It is on the ocean, and it is has a wonderful beach. You can not swim in the water, but you can still walk in the water and enjoy the massive waves. Also there is a beautiful pool with a swim bar, and we never had a hard time getting a lounge chair. We paid for a garden view room, and we had a 3rd floor room facing the garden and could see the ocean from our balcony. It was beautiful. The room was very clean. We had two full beds, and it would have been nice to have a king, but for us we were just happy to have a beautiful view. We aren't ones to spend a lot of time in the room, so we really didn't mind. The food was good. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were a buffet. There were many choices, and all though some of it weren't my favorite, there are enough choices you can find something you like. We also order from the pool side menu daily. They had many great choices. The drinks were great! In past experiences, and what I have heard, people say at all inclusives the drinks are weak. That was not the case here! Over the course of 5 days, I tried many different drinks and loved them all. Again, this is a great budget trip. We were able to relax and enjoy a beautiful location without breaking the bank. I would highly recommend Posadas Real, and I could definitely see us coming back.

HORRIFIC!

Jul 01 2016
I don 't even know where to start. I will say we had to change room three times. The rooms were filthy, hotel filthy, and no room service. The photos on apple were deceiving, the ratings were false, and someone has lied. The buffet was HORRIBLE, food was the same breakfast, lunch and dinner, and pretty much the same everyday. The beverages were watered down tremendously. No elevators, had to lug our own luggage from room to room and brought down our own luggage at check out. There are water stations around the hotle grounds and are dirty and disgusting. I did not drink out of them. When we prepared to shower or use the sink faucet we found there was no hot water, not even warm. When we acquired about the water, the hotel staff looked at us as if we were crazy about having hot water. The response from the staff is "we don't have hot water." Really? If i had known even half of this stuff I would have NEVER NEVER booked this resort. I can't even go on as I don't know how to continue. I would expect some compensation from this stay. I have to say this was the most horrific vacation, waste of time, and most importantly waste of money. You were contacted the first evening we arrived, the second evening, and I believe the third. We were contacted and only asked if we were okay. We were okay, but not satisfied. It was difficult to understand the individual on the other end of the line and not sure if she would have been able to comprehend all the problems.

The cleanliness of the hotel was very poor. I did not expect a five star hotel for the price I paid but was expecting the hotel and pool to be cleaner. All I wanted for my vacation was to swim in the pool, tan and have some cocktails, but the pool was very dirty and no way did my friends or I want to swim in it.

I would write a long spill about my 1hr stay here, but it’s not worth it. We checked in and checked right out because of the poor condition of the rooms. The room was extremely dirty, smelly, old, I could go in. Best advice don’t waste your money on a dirty room just because of the price. Plus if you try to check right out they will get mad and try not to give your money back.

Outstanding

I come every year 7 now in a row and you never disappoint me! We were there Feb 26-March12 (sorry to be late in writing, but I AM!) we look forward to seeing Luis' face and ALWAYS a smile when we step off of the WestJet bus it makes my heart happy when he says welcome home :) Urbano ,thank you always for the hugs and again welcoming us home! We always know we are welcome xo. Our service lady this time Maria was fantastic Always asking if we needed anything even if we didn't have her clean our room that day ( we have it done every 2 days) She always greeted us with the utmost respect (great girl you have there Posada). We are planning our 20 year wedding renewal on the beach there in Feb 2019. You have something special going on here. NO I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING thank you Jesus, Urabano, Bonito, Ishmael, Luis and MARIA for making our holiday always special

Would definitely go back!

Like the other reviews I read, it is an older resort, however, it's very clean and the food was good. My friend and I went, we upgraded to ocean view and got a beautiful front view of the ocean, 2nd floor, absolutely perfect. The mattresses seemed new. As two women travelling we felt very safe, the resort had great security. There were no crazy parties, but good fun. Staff was very nice to us. Great location, easy to walk to the mall. I will definitely be coming back with family.

Great hotel

This was our first trip to Cabo San Lucas / San Jose Del Cabo and we stayed at the Posada Real. The location is very central and walkable for most things, walking into San Jose downtown area took about 30 min. There are plenty of busses as well for around San Jose (12.50 each) or going into Cabo 73 pesos for 2 each way, its better to pay in pesos. We were there from Jan 21 - Feb 11 doing breakfast and drinks included.the food was good but expensive if you wanted to have a meal at the hotel(dinner was 290 pesos each). Would have been better if it were more reasonable priced,it wasn't a big problem as many restaurants close by. The hotel is very well kept up, rooms are clean, just like in pics. Our room was right by the lobby so was bit noisy in evening with different entertainments in lobby. Staff were all very polite & helpful. pool was clean there were plenty of loungers, drinks were very good, we never really wanted for much. The hotel is close to the many golf courses, we golfed 3 of them ,they were all very impressive ,our favorite was Puerto Los Cabo, it came highly recommended by our concierge. The beach was amazing, not crowded , not many locals selling products and if you weren't interested they were good with being told "no gracias". We loved the old Mexican charm of this hotel, we would definitely return again.
