Unfortuantely Not Worth It

I didn't expect this to be a luxurious property but it was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty, smelled, stained lampshade, moldy bathroom, bathroom light that didn't turn on. We ended up checking out within an hour or so of checking in and made reservations elsewhere down the road so we could enjoy our short vacation. The gentleman who served us outside was delightful, the beach is beautiful, and the grounds themselves are actually ok, but the room ruined it. When we checked out they didn't seem surprised and made no attempt to ask why. I'm a pretty mellow traveler but cannot recommend this place at all. There are much better options.

Wonderful solo stay

I stayed here as a 31-year-old solo female in June for a few days before moving to another resort a few doors down to meet friends for a wedding. It was wonderful and a superb value! Upon arriving, I was upgraded to a partial ocean view room by the kind and helpful staff. The view included the immaculately kept courtyard and swim-up bar. The room also had a sizeable balcony with two chairs. The room, as well as the bathroom, was clean and basic. Although the hotel provides soap, shampoo and a wall hair dryer, I suggest you bring your own if you are particular about trying to do your hair in the evening. Let's talk about the beach, because that's where I spent my days. In fact, I didn't even get in the pool. The beach was fairly empty when I was here. There were plenty of loungers and umbrellas. I received great service from the pool waiters, who came by frequently to bring drinks and take food orders. I tipped, and so should you. Food: I stayed here with the breakfast and drinks option, and it was perfect for me because I wanted to go into town for dinner every night. I did order lunch at the pool snack bar, and it was inexpensive and just like my favorite authentic taco trucks at home. The breakfast buffet was satisfying and included many Mexican options, as well as cereals, eggs, juices, etc. I drank mainly beer, but the few cocktails I had were good. Value: AMAZING. This is a wonderful location on a great stretch of beach. The resort I moved to after this one was practically next door and cost at least four times as much and was four times as crowded. Hands down Posada Real's beach set up was more relaxing and quiet. A special note to other women considering traveling here solo: I am a frequent solo traveler, and I felt very safe here, both at the resort and in San Jose Del Cabo. The bus stop is at the end of the drive, and it's cheap and filled with locals and tourists alike. Take it. Pay for international data to use your maps function on your phone to ensure you're headed in the right direction. If the bus stops running before you're ready to head back to the resort, ask the restaurant/bar to call a taxi for you. Get out there, explore and have fun!

Read the reviews to see what you get here. It is not a 5 star resort where staff falls all over you. What it is, is a low key, relaxed resort on the ocean with a pleasant pool/ beach. I can't recommend ocean swimming here, currents are rough. The pool/swim up bar and taqueria are more than adequate. It is a better than average place with an above average Staff. EVERYONE was warm, nice and accommodating. Dayna at the front desk checked me in when I arrived early from the Airport. The room is spacious and clean. Good water pressure in the bath and a great air conditioner. Bed was comfy. I scheduled my diving on my own. Taqueria was good, I did not eat in the restaurants, I walked five minutes down the street to several others. Food in los Cabo's is good, not great. I really did enjoy my stay. I am planning a second trip to los Cabo's in The fall and will come back her and I will bring my family. The Posada Real is a very good value.

Here we're on visit # 3. We make it a point to stay here. The staff at the reception are welcoming and accommodating. Inquire any time you have a question. They sure know how to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Now let's talk about the rest of the staff: anybody with a uniform greets you. The staff that cleans your room is thorough. The morning person that prepares your omelette, awesome smile. All the waiters go the extra mile. We love coming back to find they're still working here. The friendly staff at the bar by the pool are so dedicated. The food is delicious. We stayed in two rooms. Mine had breakfast only and my husband's room was all inclusive. He was very impressed with the dinner assortment. All around this is the place to stay with your family. The rest of the guests are friendly and are there to relax as well. See you next time, Posada Real.

After reading way too many reviews about this resort I was nervous. But once we got there I was nervous no more. Remember you get what you pay for! A very quiet place not a party hotel. Food was great at the poolside restaurant service was fantastic. Food in the buffet... meh! Drinks pretty good. Rooms are dated but comfortable. The highlight of this spot is the staff. Most are absolutely amazing. They work their behinds off for you. Walking distance to SJDC about 25 minutes or a 5 minute bus ride for 12 pesos. Many restaurants and shops 5 minuets or less away. One thing the resort could do is give the guards at the main entrance a proper shack. It’s way too hot for them doing a 12 hour shift. We will definitely be going back. But please remember you get what you pay for! If you’re a 5 star person stay down the way at a different resort.
