All Inclusive

Turn your vacation dreams into reality at a gorgeous Mexican resort facing the Pacific. The all-inclusive Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, near the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and 1.5 miles from downtown. This pleasant resort rests upon Las Glorias Beach, dappled with colorful, tropical vegetation, and provides excellent personalized service and a landscape as beautiful as the Pacific.

The all-inclusive package includes 24-hour food and beverage with access to three restaurants (one buffet and two specialty), snack restaurant, three bars and non-motorized water sports. Several private hideaways ensure tranquility and relaxation, while entertainment can be found in the resort's infinity pool with swim up bar, mini-club with children's pool, numerous watersports and an activities cabin. Enjoy exchange privileges with Plaza Pelicanos Club.

Only a short walk from the resort is the town center. The Old Town echoes the cultural trends of a marvelous fishing village, with cobblestone streets scuttling past whitewashed houses with tiled rooftops. Many of these homes have been converted to shops, galleries and restaurants, presenting guests with an even greater range of things to do. Isla Rio Cuale, a narrow island of Vallarta, features a cultural center, a shopping strip, museum and fine dining.

My friend and I arrived 10/2-10/6. We stayed in room 1249. The location was excellent. The plaza pelicans grand resort was on the main strip. Very close to downtown (centro), Walmart, airport, casino, and much more. I knew from the beginning that all inclusive was optional...what I didn’t know is no matter what time u pay the inclusive start at lunch time (noon) and ends at breakfast time. If you want to eat at the main restaurant you have to make a reservation the morning of. No exceptions...unless you are ok with eating at the buffet restaurant. Our all inclusive was $82 and was NOT worth it. They asked us to do a tour of the neighbor resort and would give us a 50% discount on the all inclusive. So now we paid $41. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price. The evening snacks( pizza, hotdogs & burgers) was horrible. Pizza was soft and cold. Hotdogs were not real hotdogs. Burgers were made fresh but they were in such a hurry that they were undercooked. Our toilet didn’t flush. Someone came right away to fix it. Then the water did not come out of the shower head. I waited maybe 20 minutes. The pool was nice. The swim up bar only fit about 2 people. I’m glad the drinks were part of all inclusive because I would NOT have paid for those drinks. So we just ordered shots of liquor. We really had a good time except for the reservation misunderstanding and the broken items in the bathroom. We rode the city blue bus up and down the strip. It costed just a few coins.

My husband and I booked a week all inclusive stay at the Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort. Our stay was from Sept 29 to Oct 6th. When we arrived late Saturday afternoon the resort was packed with families and the pool was full of kids. The pool is on the smaller side so it was a little difficult to enjoy the pool without screaming and splashing kids. It didn't stop us from going for a swim and the nice part was that the pool is open until 10pm so you can swim as late as you want. The pool tends to quiet down in the later afternoon, closer to dinner time. Our room was #1233 - It was in a great spot, located near the pool, buffet and had a beautiful view of the pool and some ocean. The only downfall was that the room was located directly above the kitchen, so early in the morning you can hear all the kitchen prep for the day and they start very early. My husband and I are early risers and we also don't have troubles sleeping through noise but we did meet a couple who requested to move from that room because they were bothered by the noise. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest you don't stay in this room. As for the rooms, they were very clean, comfortable beds, no bath tub, stand up shower, huge balcony, and the maids were always so good at cleaning our room every day. The rooms do not have mini fridges, I think this would be a great option in every room. They give you 2 bottles of water each day to drink in your room but I ended up calling the front desk and requesting 4 total each day as I enjoy drinking water in the evening and you can not drink the tap water. The food was good, their buffet could use some work but their Snack and Bar restaurant near the beach was amazing, they also have a pizza oven and make you fresh pizzas which were delicious and the A la Cart restaurant was sooooo good! They switch up the menu every night. They did mexican, brazillian, italian, asian, and I think french? You have to make a reso but its super easy to do so and I highly suggest eating dinner there. Their swim up bar was good but sometimes could be a little crowded with kids or people waiting in line but the servers and bartenders always did an amazing job at getting the drinks and serving you as quickly as possible. The pool servers were all amazing and very friendly. They always would come to us to ask us how our day was or if we needed a drink. The entertainment around the pool was also great if you enjoy water areobics or pool volley ball. Unfortunately we could not use the beach or swim in the ocean because the waves were huge and their was some sort of tropical storm that made it not safe to use the beach. They had it blocked off. We have one day that we got to use the beach which was amazing. But mother nature does what she wants, so we can't really complain about that. The staff who would clean the beach every morning or tidy it up always did a great job and worked very hard. We walked into town one day and explored around which was great. I highly suggest the restaurant El Baracuda. Its located right on the beach and they have amazing ceviche. The view is breathtaking. The Malacone boardwalk was also a must see. Just outside the resort there are a bunch of little shops you can walk around and check out. We always felt very safe and never had to worry about anything. I read in some previous reviews that the timeshare people hassle you at this resort, but my husband and I were never once approached by a timeshare person so don't worry about that. They honestly don't bug you constantly like some resorts. Overall, our experience here at this resort was good. As the week went on the resort did quiet down and it wasn't so busy. At first there were lots of kids but eventually it got better. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to just read a book and lay by the pool, maybe this isn't the place for you. They play music around the pool all day and with being a smaller resort, it can feel a little crowded at times. The Sky Lounge is also a fantastic place for adults only where you can go in the evening to enjoy some drinks and jacuzzi with no kids. The staff at this resort are amazing and so friendly! They were always so helpful and kind. We noticed some construction next door so I'm wondering if they are extending their resort? If so, I think that would be a major bonus as it would open up more room for guests and you wouldn't feel so limited to space. My husband and I would for sure go back to this resort for another visit now that we know what to expect and if the construction is an extension of the resort then it will only be even better!

My husband, 16yrs old daughter and I, spent a week at this resort. I definitely recommend this resort. Everything about it we enjoyed. It is only about 15-20minutes away from the airport. Its on the beach, the room was very nice, it had 2 double beds, we had the view on the pool and gardens, nice bathroom, with bathrobes, modern looking room, good size and maid service everyday. The gardens and pool area were beautifully kepted. The animation was great, always some activity going on, however never loud for people that don t want to participate(like my husband), my daughter enjoyed the volleyball in the pool and on the beach. There is a ping pong and pool table indoors with air conditioning(that was great) . The food delicious, either in the restaurants or near the pool. There is also someone making pizza on demand, all day, delicious pizza. There is a kids clubs as well. The staff is great, from the checkin counter, the maid, service waiters at the restaurants and pool area, security guard. I would go back anytime and recommend to all.
