All Inclusive

Turn your vacation dreams into reality at a gorgeous Mexican resort facing the Pacific. The all-inclusive Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, near the Puerto Vallarta International Airport and 1.5 miles from downtown. This pleasant resort rests upon Las Glorias Beach, dappled with colorful, tropical vegetation, and provides excellent personalized service and a landscape as beautiful as the Pacific.

The all-inclusive package includes 24-hour food and beverage with access to three restaurants (one buffet and two specialty), snack restaurant, three bars and non-motorized water sports. Several private hideaways ensure tranquility and relaxation, while entertainment can be found in the resort's infinity pool with swim up bar, mini-club with children's pool, numerous watersports and an activities cabin. Enjoy exchange privileges with Plaza Pelicanos Club.

Only a short walk from the resort is the town center. The Old Town echoes the cultural trends of a marvelous fishing village, with cobblestone streets scuttling past whitewashed houses with tiled rooftops. Many of these homes have been converted to shops, galleries and restaurants, presenting guests with an even greater range of things to do. Isla Rio Cuale, a narrow island of Vallarta, features a cultural center, a shopping strip, museum and fine dining.

Great resort. Lousy concierge and travel agency “help”

I’ve been coming to Mexico for decades, have stayed in many resorts and small hotels around the country and in PV in particular. I have always found the Mexican people to be lovely, inviting, helpful and staff at any hotel to be terrific and the staff here is also great. But, the concierge, on the desk yesterday spoke less English than I do Spanish, could not seem to navigate the internet and when I found a phone number for a local event which she could not manage, I showed her the phone number, which she dialed and then handed the phone to me. The woman at the travel agency which the concierge had tried to hand me off to was simply unwilling, “I’m too busy and my internet doesn't work”. Hence I returned to the concierge who simply dialed the number and handed me the phone. The she pouted when I said “No ayuda” ( no help) and insisted she HAD been helpful. Like many resorts they have buffets with events and they want everyone to take the buffet. Buffets are almost always mediocre at best in resorts even when the a la carte can be great. That’s the way it is here, as well, but while they agreed to a la carte, it took 30minutes to make an order and another 30minutes to get food and two of the three orders were wrong. Now the front desk and bell staff are wonderful, the accommodation first rate and it’s right on the beach, so I have no regrets being here and I’m writing this while still in residence in the hopes management might make some changes. I’m in a fabulous two bedroom suite with a view of the ocean and the pool. I’m giving 3 stars but the concierge and travel desk are poor; rest of the resort very good.

We just returned from Puerto Vallarta and had an excellent time. The hotel was very clean and the food was good. The staff were all great from the restaurant to the people that put on all of the games (Mario/Stephanie/German). You won't be disappointed!

Pool was clean, love beach access and great service from the waiters and bartenders. The night show's need to be more family friendly. The food was ok. Needed more and new food plates. The lady was a to pushy with the time share information. She just would not take NO from us.

When we combined our air and hotel it was actually cheaper than booking air travel alone..so we stayed here for 3 days before moving on to another place. That being said..kudos to Alfredo working as a Bellhop..not only did he help us update to another (and better) room quickly, he was very amicable and we appreciate the time he took to talk with us throughout our stay. Unfortunately he was not working the day we left and we did not have the opportunity to say thank you for his kind service. Our room was quite large and very clean..the large balcony overlooked the pool area and a nice view of the ocean..with lots of plants and palm trees swaying in the breeze. It was calming to hear the sound of the ocean waves. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy at times, children screaming during the day... and the sound of staff members yelling in conversation back and forth during the wee hours of the morning..which kept me awake at times..also the walls were very thin and you could easily hear noises in the room beside us, in the hallways and the floor above us...not a quiet sanctuary one might appreciate while on holidays. The grounds were meticulously kept and it was clear that the staff worked very hard..some were friendly..others seemed like they wished they were somewhere else. The dinner buffet unfortunately was mediocre at best, tepid and somewhat bland..I would have to rate it a 5 out of 10..we didn't go to the to the restaurant (due to the dress code) as we prefer "casual" dress and didn't pack "closed toed shoes". During the day there were hotdogs, hamburgers and nachos available for snacks..room service was available, but we never used it..the breakfast buffet was always good. Although there were ample amenities (including robes and slippers), hot water showers were not to be had. The hotel was right on the beach and we were able to enjoy some beautiful sunsets.

I stayed here as a solo getaway. The entire facility had just what I needed; friendly staff, safe area, food options anytime of day/night, cleanliness, ocean, pool. It was great! I would stay here again.
