A convenient place to stay near the beach, a large variety of restaurants and shopping. Great places to walk very close and easy access to main roads. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Only surprise was the large fee to park a rental car daily.

Our room wasn't ready at 3:00 check-in, but we were able to get a different one pretty quick. Staff was very helpful for the most of our trip. Didn't have quite the same Hawaii feel we enjoyed in the past. A lot of homeless were sleeping on the streets in front of our hotel, so location wasn't perfect.Beach view was wonderful.

We bookies this property through bookings.com and had received emails confirming booking up to the day of departure. Unfortunately when we arrived the hotel advised us they had no booking for us . They said they would check and after a 3 hour wait and continue request from me to reception we finally got our room . There’s was a change of staff which resulted in no communication between them of our situation. Every time I approached staff in that 3 hour wait all I got was a big smile and “ hello do you want to check in “ .Thus infuriated me beyond words . Finally got our room which was a bit of a disappointment small balcony facing the building opposite us , 2 double beds when I asked for 1 large and decor a bit dated. The only good thing was the proximity of the beach right across the road and the excellent service of Leimomi Baker the hotel concierge for you bookings, such a beautiful and friendly lady . Also as there website states free courtesy bus to Aloana shopping centre this is no longer available . So to sum this hotel is it’s a bit outdated carpets need changing , reception needs to pull there socks up and most importantly PLEASE confirm you booking with hotel before arrival

Never again!

Big, big disappointment for the hotel located in Honolulu and Waikiki area. I was expecting a lot more from the hotel in so famous place. There is no bar or restaurant in the hotel, so they don't serve breakfasts!!! However they have so called "resort fee" for service you don't even use! Like newspapers, coffee or water in the lobby which is not even available all the time - I did ask once where can I get the water and I have been told to go to the supermarket and buy water!!! But they charged me for the it!!! How bad is that?!! Welcome oshibori - never happened! We didn't use beach towels or free shuttle to the shopping center or discount in one of the shops, but they charged us for this! I've never stayed in the hotel where I have been forced to use and pay for the service I didn't want or need!!! When you walk out of the lift the smell is just unbearable - the reception\lobby area smells musty even though this is open area without door!! The carpets and the furniture are outdated and absolutely disgustingly filthy! Rooms are claustrophobic and there is barely space to put your suitcase on the suitcase stand. Also the patio doors do not keep street and AC fans noise out. We got room 1818 and first night I had a problem to sleep as the noise form the bathroom vent was unbearable. I went at 3am to change the room and got one on 9th floor, I went to check it and we have moved the rooms in the morning. Room was exactly the same, but there was no annoying noise from the bathroom. However there was much louder noise from the outside. I didn't change the room again, as there was no point - all the rooms were the same, but fortunately I could sleep in the second one. The only good thing about this place is location - across from the Waikiki beach and the zoo, however it is the furthest hotel in the Waikiki beach area. There is also beautiful view from 18th floor at the mountain, the zoo and the sport pitch behind. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again in my life!

First, the one star rate is ONLY because the room. We booked a diamond head suite. They checked us in room 1415. Mr. manager:Please go to room 1415 and take a look on the balcony. Can you honestly tell youself this is a diamond head suite? We PAID for a diamond head suite and what we got is a view of other room's balconies. And this was a really good view of balconies. We even had a good chat with our neighbour 1421 from our balconies one night. This was a fun experience and in fact was the highlight of our stay. But this could give you a sens of how close we were. Once again Mr. manager we paid for a diamond head suite means you sell the view to us.If you can't honestly tell youself this is a diamond head suite why list it as one? It's the second high price room catalog of the hotel but 1415 is worse than many other rooms. Maybe rooms higher than 1415 could be better?

Average hotel. Nice location across from Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki beach.

Took a birthday trip to O'ahu. First night I arrived tired and sick after a 5 hour flight from the mainland. At 2 am the fire tones woke us up and an announcement went off to 'return to our rooms'. A few seconds later MORE tones went off that instructed us to evacuate the building due to fire and to get outside. Startled and not feeling well I threw on a sweater and walked down FIFTEEN flights of stairs!! Once outside there was NO ONE directing us or telling us what was going on. After about half an hour in the drizzle seeing no fire trucks arrive or any signs of fire we approached the check in area and were told it was a glitch/false alarm and that they were still searching to see which alarm had gone off. Needless to say I was NOT happy. The next morning I felt even more congested and sick due to lack of sleep and walking outside at 2am! The supervisor on duty (Jonathan) told us he would 'comp' us about $100 for the inconvenience. I feel the whole 1st night should have been credited! There is also a $45 per night parking fee if you have a car and $25 per night resort fee in addition to your hotel rates. Location is good right across from Honolulu Zoo. Waikiki Beach is across the street. Beds are average covered in just cotton sheets and a light blanket. There is a coffeemaker and mini fridge in the room. Housekeeping is great and staff is friendly. I don't believe this is a 4.5/5 star hotel at all.

The room was great and when we booked in at 2am, they provided English Tea and Macadama Nut Biscuts, just what we needed for a good nights sleep. Room was comfortable and had a sea view. Next day very helpful in assisting us getting to the Cruise terminal. Very helpful reception Staff.
