I went with my husband for our anniversary but I'm so coming back with my girls. I love this place five times more than Cancun Also I want to say a special thanks to Aldo who was so helpful during our stay . He as a good salesman try to convince us be part of their sales presentations but was smart enough to respect our time and decisions. I hate when they are over pushy. It's just unbearable . I'm glad to know Royal park is not using that super pushy sales technique. I'm
Myself a sales person , but if you don't listen to your potential buyer won't take you anywhere. The food , service, cleanliness , beach rocky but wow clean , blue , and warm . The best part you can come out of the resort and just cruise town. Rent a jeep, scooter and go on it. It felt such a safe place to be. You can buy antibiotics without prescription. I was thrilled. I came home loaded with basic stuff for
Myself and kids. I'm soooooo going back. No more Cancun. And Royal Park would be my stop again. Great work !!!!!

My girlfriends and I had a great time while staying at the Park Royal, Cozumel. The resort is very clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was good and we especially liked the "grouper" at the Mexican specialty restaurant. The reef off the beach was great for snorkeling and you could use equipment for an hour a day for free. We all agreed that the size of the resort was just right to get to know both the staff and other guests. Adrian Lagunas of the entertainment staff was particularly friendly and fun. He taught yoga, water aerobics, helped MC the evening entertainments and organized many, many other activities. His fun and lively personality really enhanced our experience. Two waiters, Alfonso Magano and Esteban Aamal were also great and made ouir eating experience fun.

Let's see...where to I begin? Well, I did do ALOT of reading on this resort prior to leaving so I was well prepared. I may sound like I'm complaining a bit in this review but I'm stating the facts and overall had a very good time but it was only because of the group of people we went with rather than what resort had to offer.
We arrived at park royal on 4/25 around 2:30pm to quite a few people waiting to be checked in but it moved rather quickly. No greeting, no beverage upon arrival no hello no nothing. Wooohoo...trip is starting off awesome!
We were checked in by a man named Angel and he wasn't really welcoming, he simply put our wrist bands on, told us to sign paperwork and we were on our way. We didn't know where we were going of course, so we had to figure that out which was kind of a pain. I lugged down a rather exhausting staircase my 50lb luggage to head to room with no help from any employee of Park Royal. We stayed in room 1404 and had a "GREAT" view of a roof and another hotel, El Cid La Ceiba :(. Room wasn't a huge deal for us but non the less it would've been nice to have ocean view. Resort appeared to have been at 50-65% capacity. The room was current, had hot water, bed was hard as a rock, 2 english channels for bed time viewing but I'm in paradise so wasn't in the room much.
Once we had the "lay of the land" it was somewhat easy to get around resort in flip flops. Ladies, please don't come to this resort if you plan to wear high heels and wedges because you'll snap an ankle. Very uneven rock surface. Gift shop there only accepts credit cards or pesos.
Pools always looked rather foggy, drinks were good and snack bar food was decent. The view from infinity pools were very pretty and I enjoyed watching cruise ships. Same music played everyday at resort and their rock shaped speakers gave horrible sound. Beach was a cove and used for snorkel entry.
Seems we were lucky to get a reservation for Italian restaurant at an sucky hour of 9PM but food was good. We were however, not able to sit with our entire group which was odd (Party of 9) but made the best of it.
The buffet breakfast was really good and best meal of the day. Lunch and dinner buffet was ok, found something to eat. We enjoyed going into town to eat some days as buffet food was repetitive. It's about a 5 min cab ride to town and fee ranged for a party of 9 roughly $14-18 USD.
Nobody at park royal stood out to us and don't have any names to praise but wish I could as were all aren't hard to please at all. The resort was kept clean other than the pools. They all worked hard but I also tipped very well my entire trip. Left $2-5 dollars a day for maid staff and tipped roughly $5-10 dollars per day for bartenders.
My boyfriend did a few dives with AquaWorld and they tried to play some trickery but was straighten out quickly. He liked his Dive Master very much - Manuel who was an awesome guy and such a wonderful person to have funny convo with.
Not much else to mention. Had a good time with friends and was glad to have experienced PR - This is a very budget friendly resort - No plan to stay here again but if I did it, it would be for a quick stay.
Happy Traveling wherever you stay - Cozumel is a beautiful island and will plan to go back next year!

We, my wife and i were here just before hurricane wilma hit the island. We went back this time to see how many changes there are now. We had a great time at the park royal and the rest of the island as well. For the money i don't think you can get a better vacation. The hotel grounds are kept super clean and so are the rooms. The staff will go out of the way to please you. We want to thank ALDO for helping us far beyond what would be expected. We will be back in the near future....THANKS PARK ROYAL FOR A GREAT STAY.. Steve & Debra.
