Nightmare in Royal Park Acapulco and Emporio Acapulco Hotels...
BABAKBOB A.
Aug 05 2018
Purchased all-inclusive package from Apple Vacations, was a nightmare that caused us serious health issue besides ruining our two-weeks vacation in Acapulco. You sold us all-inclusive package without informing us the hotel (Royal Park Acapulco) did not have airconditioner! Over two weeks prior to our arrival, aircondeioner of this hotel broke and failed to work. Unfortunately it has never been repaired or replaced and they were expecting this situation would last for several months! All the hotel's restaurants, lobby, and public areas were suffering from heat, lack of airconditioners and proper ventilation. We have faced with this disastrous situation right after our arrival and had sever suffocation and dizziness over our stay in this hotel. We could not breath, had headache and weakness and also my blood pressure drastically went up. We called immediately to your company and asked for help. We even asked to be returned back to USA right away. Apple Vacations ignored our health concerns and your representative in Acapulco was too busy with FIFA football game that he asked us to call him after game. Our continuous phone calls to your company and asking for help, finally we were transferred next day to another hotel (Emporio Acapulco). Your company did not move us before collecting significant extra money. We ended up to pay $4,591.50 to Apple Vacations, whereas according to Apple Vacations' website price for Emporio Acapulco hotel including airfare and transfer was less than half of our payment!? Despite of the fact we paid for all-inclusive package, but we have been charged for everything during our two-weeks stressful vacation. After having our first meal in the restaurant of Emporio Acapulco hotel, my wife and I got food poisoned. We almost died on our second day of our stay in that hotel. We continuously vomited, had diarrhea and struggled with suffocation. Onsite hotel doctor prescribed us with antibiotics and other medications. We were under medication and pain through our two-weeks stressful vacation. Your company seriously ignored and jeopardized our health over profit and money in addition to ruining our vacation. Apple Vacations provided us with services of improper quality that threatened our lives and health. Apple Vacations is fully responsible for everything happened to us and must fully refund our money back and compensate for all these damages, stresses caused during our two-weeks vacation.

Guillermo, Bartender at the main pool bar was exceptional. He even provided me with a chair poolside over the lounger for my sore back. Over and above was this man. Many thanks.

Would have rathered stayed at an not all inclusive hotel and rather payed for the food and drinks separately..which we seemed to get better tasting food from mall plazas and street vendors compared to the hotel.. The staff was very friendly and I guess my only complaint was the food & drinks. Not very great options.. certain plates were ok .. ohhh and no room service...

Not many food choices or activities; night music was too late; lobby bar was full with no entertainment; one pool bar during day and one lobby bar at night; rooms had great view but smelled sometimes; lunch buffet was closed for two days

Came for a wedding. 4.5 stars maybe more.

So I'm not really sure where all of the bad reviews came from for this one. I'll do my cons first which were very very minor. - my AC was not freezing cold - had to pay for the gym(90 pesos per day) -pool bar closed at 7 or 8 - you had to make a reservation for the italian restaurant.... which was good... but I wanted Mexican food in Mexico. Now for the pros - courteous at reception, and came around with a drink -held door open every time you came in. - cleaned room wonderfully every day. - room was nice - resort had a private beach. - bartenders were friendly and made the whole trip better. Especially Vicette.... I'd give that guy 6 stars out of 5. - the breakfast was wonderful. Especially the omelet station but all the food was. The restaurant outside that served numerous kinds of ceviche was wonderful. The snack bar was ok. I was neutral on the team bc I walked up and down so much and the wifi was kind of weak. The wedding that I went to at the resort was literally the best wedding that I have or ever will be to. I would 100 percent recommend.

Dissapointed, food 2/5 Acomodation 3/5, sea view 4/5 Activities 2/5, personnel 5/5 Pool 4/5. Overall a 3.

First, I will list things I didn't like. Lunch: One restaurant option only, mainly fish, good view but food below average. Dinner: 2 options, Italian you have to schedule same day and food is not the best, second buffet...mmmm.. No transfer from hotel / airport, take a cab 300 pesos = 16$ If you have a person in your family with disability, this is not the best hotel to stay, very hard to make it to the beach, from reception you can take one elevator + tram + 2 levels of stairs or 3 elevators with 100 yards walk in between. Watch out with the 3% tax calculation, for some reason they charge 5%. Night activities, for karaoke night they put only chairs and no tables, many people standing on their feet wich makes it a terrible experience. _________ The good things: - The personnel tries to do their best with very limited resources. - Breakfast 8/10 Good selection of fruit and juices, pancakes, bread, soup, etc.

For kids very good,

I went to have a new years experience in Acapulco Guerrero. THE GOOD: 1) The beach is almost Private, the sea is clean in acapulco standards, and like a pool: warm, calm and a long run inside the sea with no more than 50cm deep> The best for Kids and old or disable people, very very secure with NO beach comerce or travelersellers. the best beach inside the bahia for kids. 2) The Kids pool is a dream to have. very nice new and secure, you can rest incalm and your kid can play with security. 3) we receive very nice customers service. 4) The bath amenities: shampoo, soap, cream etc, are of SUPERB quality, far away of the level of the Hotel, we wanted to by samples for Home, but there is not commerce for the BEST product inside the Hotel. The BAD: 1) BAD, Bad, and very Bad food. 2) The drinks are bad, very bad, like spring brakers adolecents style. 3) Poor room service and maintenance, cheap repairs like 3 different whites lights in my room lamps: Ugly. Finally we will return to the hotel, because with my 3 years old girl, the saefty feeling at the beach, and at the kids pool, is a dream for me and my wife.
