Our room was fantastic for our family of four. Food was better than expected and on par with other higher end all inclusives. Staff were top notch all around. Pool was fine but needed a little maintenance. The beach was the only downside. Beautiful sand but in the water was very rocky. It was tough for the kids to play in. Kids club was awesome. Entertainment was fun and the kids liked it. You have to approach the entertainment with the right perspective but it was fun. Facilities were really clean and nice. Overall we had a fantastic vacation.

The Now Jade was truly a treat! If you can go, please take my word for it, from the time you pull up, you are greeted with warm towels to clean your hands, and champagne, upon entering in the lobby you will be amazed, with the water fountain and shark that looms from above, depending on the time of arrival your room may not be available however you are free to use all the amenities that the Now Jade has to offer, without writing a book, I will say you will never go hungry, thirsty or have a dull moment during your visit @ the Now Jade. Please take my word for it and Book your trip. ASAP

The beach was unusable. It was covered in seaweed. We understand that it was not the hotels fault but very disappointing. Also we were approached multiple times to be sold things. This was not at all welcomed by us. We did not want to feel pressured on our vacation. This was our time to relax. Also a very big thing was the day we checked out. We did not leave until 04:50 that day. But we had to be out of our rooms by noon. This was a very big inconvenience for us. Also they asked what time they should come for our bags. We told thme 11:50. They were already at our room at about 10:30 to get our luggage. Overall we would not return to this resort. It was ok. But we have been to better.

The overall hotel experience was excellent. The food was delicious favorite restaurant was Cin Cin. The service and check in was good they should tell you in advance that you have to put a deposit down of $300.00. Check out was easy. The bar service at the pool bar needs to have two bartenders but Michal and Tomas were walking around and brought us drinks faster. I did not see a lot of entertainment walking around compared to other resorts. They did have the usually beach/water volleyball, water aerobics, and crazy game. The beach was rocky and had seaweed but they tried to keep it as clean as they could. This is a non smoking resort with designated spots to smoke for the smokers out there that is something that should be known before you go. Overall we had a great time we were with 9 friends and family and they always took care of us well.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beach was awful. It was covered with seaweeds and rocks. We upgraded to the beach front room. Our couch was old and stained. They didn’t clean our room one day. I also didn’t like the staff aggressively trying to sell time share.

Disappointing for the cost

Had a couple issues while visiting this resort. First off we upgraded our room to an ocean view to find out the view should have been called a peak at the ocean. The view was mostly trees and buildings. Next we had issues with the hot tub on our balcony. all the jets were broke or cracked and the water return was broken with sharp edges that would have cut you if you tried to use it. This issue was resolved quickly. The most aggravating problem was only one ice machine per building and ours had been pulled out. So if you wanted Ice you had to walk to another building. The staff seemed apologetic but never resolved the issue. Room service was called to deliver ice but they never showed.

Ya e the pool a poor because of all the missing tiles in the pool. I saw couple people get cuts on the feet ans the one needed stitches. Luckily no one from our party got hurt. Overall appearance was great and the value we spent was well worth the stay. Food was very good as well.

Used apple for years-great results. Booked Now Jade, stayed at Now Sapphire many times, wanted to try another property. Upon check-in, room was unavailable. Wanted to transfer to Sapphire for the night which we declined as too much hassle and would loose one day of vacation. Room was at far back of property overlooking lagoon "swamp". Insisted they move us to better room. Moved to a very nice room with ocean view. NO air-conditioning. (Understood from other guests the AC was out most everywhere. Finally got the AC fixed - great stay from then on. UNTIL, the person checking us in insisted on having my credit card to place a $300.00 US "deposit" on the room which I had already paid for. He had my credit card info and proceeded to do so. I was extremely upset but he insisted it would be refunded upon check out. Talked to many guests and they apparently did the same to many of them. NEVER had Now properties requested this before. Upon check out I had to insist on a credit. My CC still not showing the credit only the $300.00 charge. Will fight with card company on this issue. We will not return to Jade for this very issue. The property, most all staff, food and service, other than pool/bar, were excellent. I simply do not like being treated this way after being a loyal Now guest for years.

My husband, grown son and I recently spent a week at this resort. Overall, I would rate our experience as "good". The two big bummers of our trip were out of anyone's control. First, it rained 6 of the seven days we were there. Secondly, there was a huge issue with seaweed (I was somewhat expecting this as reading a review right before we left, the reviewer mentioned the seaweed situation. As for the resort, we were pretty pleased overall. As being new to the All-Inclusive Resort experience, it gave us some insight to what is important to us as travelers. The food, overall, was just OK. They are feeding masses of people, for that reason you may see the same food in restaurants as you do on the buffet (mainly "side dish" type items). By the end of the week we were bored with our food options as we felt like we'd been eating a lot of food for the whole week. Mind you, we did eat at every restaurant at least once and only the buffet once for dinner. The drinks were very weak! Not that I need my socks knocked off, but, I'd like to at least know there is some alcohol in my drink. Come to find out, this is a common complaint with inclusive travel (again, we are very new to this type of vacationing). We also felt, at times and by certain staff, to "tip" extra. Gratuity is included when you pay for your stay, which our travel agent was sure to remind us of. However, there were times where it almost felt like staff were waiting for an extra little something. I was a little turned off by this. Being from the US we are used to tipping all the time. It's easy to lose sight of the fact that you've paid for these tips when you paid for your trip. Yes, there were times where we felt that we really received above and beyond service. However, I don't like being made to feel "obligated" to tip more. This trip has helped us realize what is important to us when we travel. This is a nice resort with, what I felt, good amenities and a very nice staff.

This was our first family vacation in 5 years. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the food was phenomenal! The service was excellent everywhere we went from the buffet, where Sergio looked for us and had coffee and juice waiting, to the beach where Misael had water and remembered what drinks we liked.Chino and Leonardo were fun from the entertainment team. They were everywhere, from guacamole lessons to the bike tour to the shows at night. Even yoga and pilates with Miriam in the morning was amazing!

This resort was by far the best resort I have ever been stayed at. Everything about it was perfect. The only small issue I had was the distance to our room from the main area and the mosquitoes. Other than that, it was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be returning.

This was my 4th time to Riviera Maya and 3rd stay at an AMI resort. Travelers were 28, 32 and 60 years old. Overall - the resort is the perfect size, service is impeccable, food is top notch, and preferred club is the way to go. It’s rare we say we want to go back to the same resort twice, but we all agreed we will be returning! Rooms – they were great. It was nice to have a separate living area. We had a preferred ocean view in Building 8. We requested a higher floor to help improve the view and Sara in preferred check in made it happen. I’m not sure it would have been worth the extra cost for an ocean front unless your goal is to hear the ocean. With the seaweed it’s not that pretty to look at. Air conditioning worked great and there are 2 ceiling fans. Housekeeping was hit or miss. We had to call on our first day for daytime and the next night for turndown. There is no door on the shower which may be an issue for some depending on their travel companions. Preferred club – we felt it was completely worth the extra cost. We had an ocean view room and had a great view. The lounge is great, the pool is great, spa is amazing, upgrading is always the way to go! Food/Drink – Food was amazing! All restaurants are air conditioned with the option of sitting outside which is great for the hot and humid nights. We only had positive things to say about drinks. They had a great selection of beers/premium liquor and the house wine was pretty good. If you think your drink is weak then ask for it to be topped off. Simple fix to a silly complaint. Pool/Beach – the preferred pool is awesome. It’s the perfect size, great infinity edge by the ocean, great service (shout out to Ivan), tons of umbrellas and palapas for shade. One day we didn’t make it down there until 11:00am and had no problem finding chairs. The main pool is what you would expect, very large, very busy and lots of children, but it is also where the action is. We went there one morning at 8:30am to reserve at least one chair for the three of us and every.single.chair already had a towel on it. I’ve never seen the towel game that bad before. The beach is exactly what all other reviews say. The seaweed can be bad at times and they work all day long to try and get it cleaned up. Entertainment – We really enjoyed the live music outside of the lobby each night. Scores nightclub is the perfect place for the nights you want to stay out later. We peeked our heads into one of the shows and it wasn’t worth trying to find a seat. The daytime entertainment team is at the big pool all day. Spa – we don’t normally take advantage of the spa, but I am so happy we did. We went to just check it out and were blown away. This spa is like nothing we’d ever seen before. Daily hydrotherapy is included with the preferred club so we took advantage of that. My mom and sister got Swedish massages and both said they were the best they’ve ever had. I opted for a facial and was disappointed. All services are expensive, but you can apply resort credits and we bartered with them and got a decent deal. Feel free to ask my any questions!

I stayed here from July 22nd to the 29th and it was wonderful!!! We were in building 8 in the Preferred Club section which I think it's perfect for couples with no children. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but we had our favourites too; Angel and Margarito at the Buffet kept us topped up with drinks and work extremely hard every minute of their day.Aaron at Cin Cin was great and very knowledgeable of the Mayan Culture. I have always have a fascination with their culture. Teresita at the lobby bar always welcomed us with a smile and give us the best service possible. Franco Araujo (Pedrito Fernandez) at the concierge lobby went out of his way to answer every question or concerns that we had. Thank you all, for making our stay there so memorable.

This hotel could be a solid 5 star very easily but there's a few little things that let it down for us, not by much however. Firstly- yes there's a problem with the seaweed on the beach. It's nothing that will ruin your holiday and Now Jade is working very hard to try and control it, more so than other hotels in the area. The unfortunate thing here is that they've nowhere to put the seaweed they've worked hard to gather, other than next to the ocean front preferred rooms and the pile of it here is huge. They do move it on every few days by wagon but I would feel aggrieved if I had paid out for ocean front and been placed next to this! Beach As mentioned by others elsewhere the beach here isn't great. The sea during our stay has been very choppy and no chance of snorkelling. I can usually find somewhere to snorkel but no chance here. Visibility poor. It may be that the freak timing this year with the sargassum has changed this. There is some coral areas mainly in front of the preferred pool and it would be interesting to see what this was like in calm conditions, without the sargassum. Walking left down the beach takes you past a small harbour and a dolphin swimming place. This didn't look very nice and actually stopped me walking there again - bad enough paying for captive dolphins, feels worse walking past and seeing them for free! You can walk to the right up the beach for about 10 mins, past another hotel and a rough massage place. It's not great - again, might be nicer when the sargassum isn't there. Room We booked and received an ocean view suite and were given room 6306. Nice room and as described. Nice view, spacious - king bed and sliding door between the bedroom and lounge area. Huge flat screen tv in the bedroom and a smaller one in the living room. Nice sized balcony and half open bathroom. Bug Jacuzzi on the balcony but we've not considered using it as there is literally no privacy so pointless really. There was no bed made up for our little girl and it took some time and repeated requests to get this. When it came it was a disgusting horrible bed with holes in the head board. Went to preferred reception to sort and the lady there couldn't do anything...really snotty attitude and poor really. A complaint to TUI also didn't resolve it. Fortunately there is a lad called Gustavo who works prefered reception and is great. We worked with him and the problem was resolved quickly. We encountered the same snotty lady on another occasion who couldn't help when the shop had charged us 3x for the same stuff - 2 on debit card and once to the room. My advice, if you have a problem and get a negative response, speak to someone else! Pool Nice big pool area. The pool towel game is in full effect and it is noticeable there is a lack of sunbeds, particularly on change over days. The pool staff work hard to accomodate and resolve this, with little recognition. The pool is really nice but as mentioned by others the tiles are really small and loads missing. It needs an expensive overhaul. I would recommend are hotel make a further pool, possibly in the garden area in front of block 6 as this would help ease the over crowded getting that happens every couple of days and this area is largely unused. Food Restaurants are great including the buffet and service is fantastic. This isn't the best hotel for recognising or dealing with food allergies. We were asked only 3x about any allergies and there was no understanding of cross contamination. The exception to this was Alberto at Spice. I will be writing to the manager separately about Alberto. Really warm welcome and introduction, asked about allergies without prompting and took time to ask questions to understand the allergy fully and then to reassure, particularly around cross contamination. Alberto is a credit and his skills in this area should be used to raise standard and awareness throughout the resort. Service across the resort has been fantastic 99% of the time and it's clear the staff have a remit to help and make your holiday great. There will always be odd exceptions everywhere. Our little girl got ill during our stay and it was an infection in her ear. We know of 4 other families similarly affected. I can't say this infection is because of the hotel, but 4 kids with ear infections seems too coincidental to me, we may have just been unlucky though. The hotel were great in calling out a doctor etc and we had to go to hospital, which was a bit pricy but no problems overall. This resort truly has a lot going for it. Great rooms, great layout and the restaurants are fantastic. Having said that, I'm not sure I would return here, which is a shame as it is very close to being perfect. For me I worry about the hygiene (state of the first kids bed provided and the ear infections, plus lack of understanding about cross contamination) and the overcrowded feel around the pool. We paid 8.5k to TUI and feel we could probably have got better.
