"Mukul" is the Mayan word for "secret," and at Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa on Nicaragua's Emerald Beach, another secret is ready to be discovered every day. This hidden gem offers breathtaking views of turquoise waters and verdant mountains, hikes up dramatic cliffs, and short helicopter rides to beautiful islands and fascinating volcanoes. The Emerald Coast of Nicaragua is a 30-mile expanse of Pacific shoreline strewn with pristine jungles, rising cliffs, untouched beaches, and charming fishing villages.

Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa is the first luxury accommodation in Nicaragua, and opens to 1,600 private acres of lush vegetation. This hotel features 37 guest accommodations, each of which offers space and privacy in a style that compliments the natural surroundings and provides stunning ocean views. Furnishings are crafted by local Nicaraguan artisans, and reflect the traditions of the country.

Relax in one of six individual private casitas at The Spa Mukul, each of which offers a different ancient healing tradition. Book a tee time at Guacolito's Golf Course. Explore the beauty of Nicaragua with a staff of Adventure Rangers, then take a 12-kilometer bike ride on trails surrounded by native wildlife. Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and sailing in the glistening waters, or surf on world-class waves.

Wake up to fresh smoothies and coffee in the morning, then enjoy snacks and cocktails at the split-level bar in the afternoon. Experience local tastes prepared by Chef Ortiz at the palapa-shaded Terras, or barefoot dining on the beach at Parrilla. Dishes feature local Nicaraguan ingredients, including organic grass-fed beef, fresh produce, and fish caught in the nearby village of Gigante.

Come to Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa to discover the secrets of Nicaragua.

No real privacy in ocean view rooms without large unattractive walls, not ocean view unless you attempt to block out the roofs and structures or angle around them.... situated far from beach and falls short of Aman resort like seclusion....room spacious, beds ok, many small charges for amenities that should be free at the price paid. Make sure this is what you are looking for ..... before booking. Watch weather as well..... when windy not a very tranquil place.

Very relaxing experience

The hotel is really beautiful and the people/staff are really super nice, really extraordinary staff, which makes it hard to be mad. Up side: Very close to an international airport (Costa Esmeralda) is about 10mins away. The hotel is nice, very good design, big pool, nice beach. Staff is really super helpful, always smiling and really trying to make your stay a great experience. Carlos, Luis and Leyanis at the pool restaurant, as well as Maynor from Beach Club really made our stay very special. Manager Marco is really amazing, so where Manager Vivian and Manager Murillo from BeachClub. The ladies at the KulKids also made our 7 year old daughter´s stay amazing. Vivian gave her a complimentary facial! However, some hiccups that i would recommend get resolved: 1. Food: good but not amazing. Menu is ok, but nothing awe inspiring, unique or creative. In my opinion it could be the menu of any restaurant in latin america. Burger and the tacos are very good, but when you have been there for 5 days, the lunch menu becomes small. 2. Rooms: Bohio rooms are nice but kind of dark. Terrace apartments are nice but lack several small details: - only 1 phone, needed to call transportation, and that phone is at the master bedroom. Need to have more, at least one in common areas. - Room keys: they only have one complete set, so you need to be in constant communication with the people in other rooms or leave doors open. - Main table and living room table are made of glass. Not the best idea for an apartment with kids! - Pools at Terrace apartment are not heated! - Cleaning service not that good. Our beach towels were never replaced. 3. Transportation system needs to improove. Its not always easy to reach reception to get them to send the car, which not always arrive. Once my mom had to walk down (she is a cancer survivor) and another time my sister had to go down on the food cart. For us this was the biggest issue. Really nice people but not working. We should not wait 30mins for transportation. 4. Kids club, is nice but small, not so many special activities, not that many games and opens at 9:30am... that is super late if we realize they cater kids! Owners should check Four Seasos Papagayo or Andaz in Costa Rica and see some ideas to model. 5. Bathrooms at hotel do not have changing stations for babies. Male nor female. Should really solve this. I had to change my 8mo daughter on sink and work “my magic.” 6. Electricity left very often and very bad internet. Hope it improoves. 7. Other issues that need urgent care: - Rooms need better maintenance: A/C remote was not working. We complaint and was solved. - Door to main bathroom: didnt close, we complained, was fixed but not solved. Complaint again. - Sink for dishes leaked. We had to complain and got solved. - Two bathrooms had no hot water, we complained and was fixed. - Bikes: we got to mountain bikes to ride, really bad, breakes not working, gears not working... very poorly maintained. - Because of high speed winds, pools are super cold. We asked for ours to be heated and it was until second call that it actually happened. - Minibar: we asked for all cokes ti be changed for diet cokes... it took 2.5 days and 3 calls (last one kind of mad) to get things done. In spite of these points that i suggest get solved, the experience was very nice, the hotel is beautiful, service mostly good and its really worth it. We will definitely go back.

Exceeded expectations

Website doesn’t do the resort justice. It’s beautiful, well cared for, and the staff is incredibly friendly and polite. There is so much property that you rarely see other guests. You need a few days to do everyb But the resort has to offer, so I suggest staying at least 5 days if you want to explore the county .

Best resort in Nicaragua!!!

Worth every penny. Go the extra mile for a spa experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, premise was clean and had great views, and activities were interesting, exciting, and customized to my preferences.

Thank you to all, we will come back soon!

We stayed last November it was really a nice experience... they have a great long beach where we enjoyed amazing sunsets with great mojitos. Wide selection of fruits and natural juices during breakfast and for dinner, you should make time to enjoy it at their PDR with a special multi-course menu specially prepared for you. Thank you to all, we will come back soon!
