Overall view

No entertainment at night. Not much to do when you have someone 17 yrs old with you. Experienced disappointment when asked to leave one side of the beach because we did not have the correct wrist band on when there was no one else around us. Rooms could use a good deal of upgrading, especially in the bathroom.

I have used Apple Vacations for many trips over the years. I have to say that this experience was subpar. The hotel is rated as a 5-apple hotel and it is not even close in my opinion. The facility really needs renovations: new carpet, paint, updated furniture, restaurants, cleaning, etc. The beds in the rooms are very low to the ground. The air ventilation is loud in the hotel rooms. There is limited air conditioning in the hotel hallways and elevators. The cleaning staff do not clean any of the sink handles (mold growing behind levers) in our room as well as public restaurants on the property. We were very disappointed that we had to pay extra to go to the steak restaurant. A lot of the food/cold items like fruit on the breakfast buffet was not chilled. There was no music played outside at the bar. We felt that the staff at the Melia were very nice overall. I just think that $$$ need to be put into the hotel for improvements (The hotel is owned with 4 other resorts on the island by the Chinese). Another unfortunate event is that it rained for 3 days of our vacation so we called Apple to inquire if we could extend our trip. I called 3x and also left a message as the voicemail said to leave a message if you are on an existing trip. No one ever called us back. I have always promoted Apple to my friends and family, and to not receive any call back whatsoever has made me re-evaluate Apple as a top vacation planning company. Sad.

We took our family on vacation and my wife and I did our 30th anniversary vow renewal. Diane Murray-Flowers did a wonderful job and made our renewal worry free. The beach is nice in front of hotel and food is good. It was a good time to go because if wasn't overcrowded. I would stay there again.

After saving and waiting for our mommy and daughter yearly vacation. It was so discouraging. The Hotel staff seemed annoyed, and frustrated. I reached out to apple, the hotel manager, as well as majestic tours. I got no where, more or less just wasted vacation time!!! Won't go back to the hotel and may consider not using apple anymore.

Hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and all the restaurants were great. It wasn't overly crowded and it was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend to another person

Buffet is awful service. Glass of water should be poorer as you are seated. I was never able to get a cup of coffe for breakfast.... maybe when I was about to leave!! Lunch would be nice to get nachos and light food on beach like other all inclusive....hate to take an hour of vacation to sit for poor service. Mexican and hibachi restaurants were excellent and great service as I expect!! I have been traveling with apple vacations for probably 20 plus trips in the past 18 years.. so I know what simple things should be addressed! Apple vacation should keep a data base of clients name and see frequent flyer and give some perks!!

Everyone was very warm and genuinely friendly. The beach and pool facilities were outstanding. The rooms were clean and comfortable. (The shower drain actually worked as it should!)

Everywhere I travel I stay at an all inclusive. This has been the worst. While it was nice a lot of the hotel seemed run down. Small things seemed old. It was nice to get away but I wouldn't go back to Melia Nassau. I've been to other Amelia's and loved them. The food was great offering a great variety of items. Service was great although when it got busy they seemed a bit under staffed.

We read quite a few reviews about this resort and were a little skeptical about it but it truly exceeded our expectations. The food was great, the drinks were mixed strong, our room was clean, hotel grounds were well maintained, and the staff was very friendly. There were 13 of us staying at the resort and I had contacted the manager before our stay to book reservations at the restaurants which made things go smoothly. Additionally the manager checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was satisfactory. There 7 kids that traveled with us and they were entertained the entire time with swimming and non-motorized activities in the ocean. Additionally, the free wifi worked great even down at the beach.

Overall the hotel was beautiful and clean. Since it was off peak time, there were renovations on one of the restaurants and one of the pools. There were many different options for breakfast and lunch, since they were buffet style. For dinner on the all inclusive plan there options of Asian cuisine, Mexican cuisine, and Italian cuisine (which was undergoing renovations). There was an option for the steak house which was not included. The beach offered free water activities such as paddle boarding, kayaks, snorkeling, and water tricycles. The hotel offered music and dancing nightly.

This hotel was not what we anticipated. The customer service was misleading and the attitudes of those working there were more often poor and dismissive than pleasant. The food was very poor. The buffet food had flies everywhere. The rooms were a good size, but the ocean view was actually a pool view with partial ocean view. Expect a noisy atmosphere. The outdoor bar blasts music throughout the day and the sounds from the pool area echo up to the room. The beach was lovely except for the occasional solicited of cigars or drugs. The rooms were cleaned at odd times (9:30 pm one night in which we had to wait in the hall). We had to transfer rooms on account of mildew and a broken phone in the first room as well as the lack of ocean view which we paid for. The switched room had a better view but came with a lack of towels and wash clothes and any-like bugs on the bed. Don't try to check in before 3:00; they won't let you. The shuttle service was not easy to find and ran late. The people at the resort are not helpful but some of the locals are.

I recently returned for a quick weekend getaway from Cleveland. It was my second visit in less than a year. Level service was spectacular and so worth it once again. MeliaRewards program, I can’t even say enough. My birthday upgrade was out of this world! We had a really fabulous time. We want to recognize Jordan at the Level Beach. He seriously made our trip complete on this visit. Hoping to return for a third visit soon. -Stephanie & John

We were treated so special for our anniversary and will always remember our time there. Thank you so much for such special memories!!! We loved the food at the Marketplace. My husband cannot eat a lot of different foods so the Cilantro and Black Angus were wonderful.

Wonderful Vacation

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary. We stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful beach first floor room. First Wentworth hooked us up and checked us in. He was amazing. Honestly made our arrival so easy and was so sweet to us. Alvin met us at the taxi and carried our luggage to our room with a smile and had a great personality. I was a tad worried after reading reviews about staff personality but honestly they were so nice, caring, and just flat out wonderful. Let me tell you about my man FREDERICK. He was incredible. Best bartender we have ever had. He was ours all week and we did not have to wait more than a minute for a drink. He was not only an amazing bartender but an amazing person. He felt like family the whole time and made us feel welcome. Last but not least Brittany helped us out so much. We had a slight problem with our room (no ones fault things happen) and she made it so much better helping us out the whole time. The resort is wonderful, the people are wonderful, and the beach, activities, food, and staff they provide are wonderful. We will definitely be going back without a doubt. Thank you Melia for an amazing vacation and memories and people we will never forget!

Great Bartenders and waitstaff

Room was nothing special. Bartenders were excellent. Never had to wait for a drink. Waitstaff was also very friendly. The entertainment was the only issue. I went to Bahamas expecting Caribbean Island music. Turns out most of the time it is Latin music. To be honest if that was the entertainment and environment I wanted I would have gone to Mexico or Puerto Rico.
