No Apple Representative on SIte
Feb 09 2014
The Apple Representative was none existent. When tried to contact by phone for my return transfer. Could not reach. Asked the help of the concierge, he could not reach the representative either. Gave up and secured my own transfer back to the airport. Very Frustrated.

Marriott hotel

Hotel was next to excellent but not quite there, personnel was courteous and helpful but some times annoying trying to sell you tours and ventures. food in the hotel was expensive up to 4 times than other places 35 American dollars for breakfast per person, give me a break. I was able to find breakfast for $35.00 pesos per person just a few blocks away, bottle water for $50.00 pesos call me cheaply but out side was $3.50 pesos. Had to pay for everything, TV, coffee, water etc. Rates were reasonable through Apple vacations.

Marriott Casa Magna takes such pride in every aspect of their property. You can tell they take very good care of their staff because everyone loves their job and are happy to work there and this translates into the guests being very well taken care of!

we loved it all... the hotel a bit behind in maintainance but they are 'at it'. we watched the hotel crew trim a 40 ft palm tree..gutsy activity that may have been put off by other chains. lots to do inside and outside the hotel.. they also kept beach vendors at a distance, a relief. surprisingly good bagels inhouse and the beer was cold..good sign...might be renamed the 'casa-corona' jhw 1-12

Another pleasant stay

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times, and will return. Great location, nice pool, friendly staff. My only complaint is the prices - $10 US for a margarita at the pool - really? In Mexico? We go to the marina or El Centro for most meals, if the prices were close to reasonable we'd stay.

The Bachinski family would like to say thank you to all the wonderful staff at Marriott Puerto Vallarta. Everyone was so welcoming and attentive to our needs. We especially love Ernesto! Can't say enough great things about this man. He welcomed us every time we saw him and my kids loved talking with him. He gave us great recommendations on activities and dinners and was just an all around wonderful guy! The hotel and facilities were amazing and the food was excellent! Rooms were very clean and spacious. We will definitely be back to this hotel again! Thank you Ernesto and all Marriott Puerto Vallarta staff for a memorable vacation!

The Personnel Make it a wonderful trip.

We have just returned from 10 days here and it is our 4th return trip. It was wonderful this year to see some of the improvements that have taken place and we look forward to the renovations. I was however not a fan of the $15 a day resort fee. As I said the personnel make the trip, it is good to return and see familiar faces in place continuing to do their jobs with a smile. Raul (both Perez and Martinez) make pool time so enjoyable. Always service with a smile and they continue to make us laugh during the day. Warren the pool concierge does his job well and it was wonderful to get to know him more this year. Reyna in the restaurant for breakfast is a a sweet wonder and we love her. 20 gold stars for her service. Now for what truly made our visit wonderful this year even more than in years past....we had some dietary restrictions we are vegan and Hector the Chef and Audrey Formisano made sure there were vegan menu selections for us at each restaurant. WONDERFUL to be able to go into any of the restaurants and order from a special menu. Delightful, I hope they continue to get more vegan entrees over the years. Hector and Audrey are both very special people. This year we also had the pleasure of having Belen Perez as our housekeeper, what a delight she was. She always prompty cleaned our room each day while we were at breakfast leaving behind a cute note, a flower or a candy for us. Every morning she would greet us with a smile. We also enjoyed the cocktail party for the gold and platinum elite members and getting to meet the management staff. Well done as usual Marriott.

A solid choice

We just stayed there May 11-16 with with a big group. We all enjoyed the hotel and PV. The Marriott is a nice property and well maintained. We had good service all around and especially from the pool bar waiters who kept up with our orders quite well. The breakfast buffet was good, though I've had better in Playa and Cabo. We ate in town every night so I cannot comment on the dinner choices at the hotel. Overall it is a good hotel for the money. I've stayed in nicer/newer hotels in Mexico so my advice to the Marriott is to give the place a strong remodel so that it is comparable with the newer places it is competing with.

Excellent, Excellent!!

Dear David Gauna: I would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the EXCELLENT service level and care we received at Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa March 11-March 15th 2017. Employees at this hotel are among the nicest and most attentive of any hotel we have stayed at. Your entire staff did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations!!! The staff is well trained, and represents the best of what Marriott is about. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for phenomenal service. As part of the resort fee, we received two bottles of water a day in the room, Tequila tasting and two drinks. They also had bug repellent for your use (which we did not even need due to it being the dry season). We were booked into a garden view room; at check in we were greeted by Brenda. She checked us in a couple of minutes with a smile. I asked if there was any possibility for ocean view room but it was a sold out hotel. So off we went to our room and to my surprise the garden room 5016 had everything I wanted, it had a large balcony with a view of the pool and ocean. I was surprised this is considered a garden view. I found the rooms large and comfortable; my only negative feedback was the converted bath tub/Shower. The high step over into the tub into and out of the shower could be challenging for those who have mobility issues (not me). Our room was left pristine by Lilly daily she also created amazing towel sculpture not to mention she wound up our phone charging cords! Drink/food service is available on the beach and at the pool. The infinity edge pool is beautiful, and heard it will go under renovation in 2019, My only recommendations are getting rid of the Fred Flintstone swim up bar and replacing it with something larger and modern the Jacuzzi should face the pool rather than the walkway with no view, Iā€™m sure the design team already knows this. We did find the drinks week but no complaints we still manage to enjoy them. Every staff member with whom we came in contact was attentive and kind including, Brenda at Check in, One and Ernesto - Concierge, Warren our pool concierge along with the wait staff, Carlos (Perez) not sure of his last name made the rounds and greeted everyone at their table each morning at breakfast and Lilly our house keeper. We have already decided to return in December 2018, and looking forward to the new renovations. We had a wonderful four night vacation, and I have recommended this Hotel to all of my colleagues, friends and family. Thank you again for such outstanding service. Sincerely, Eileen K

This wonderful hotel has become our go to for our winter vacation. This is the second trip and soon to make our reservation for next year, The warmth of the staff is extraordinary We had arrived early and our upgraded room was ready for us. The check in was speedy and very efficient. The front desk staff is well trained and checked all the Marriott boxes for us as elite customers. Later in our stay, I had commented on the new look and the gal to whom I spoke was the Director of Rooms, Adriana Osuna Garcia and the next i knew I was getting a tour of the new look coming beginning in May to the rooms, the halls and the exterior. It will be truly wonderful. We had taken advantage of the pool restaurant for breakfast and for lunch. The food was quite good. The pool service by Eduardo was extraordinary,
