Amazing destination
May 01 2013
We loved the resort. By far the best beach on the island with plenty of room to spread out. This is a small resort with no karaoke or blaring music late at night like some of the other resorts. The rooms are comfortable and the food was fantastic. We ate most dinners at Ike's Bistro the dishes are unique with a presentation to match. The staff at the restaurants, bar and hotel are warm and you cant help but be yourself and be comfortable. We cannot wait to go back.

Excellent location for romance, quiet uncrowded and beautiful beach. Above average level of service and friendliness of staff, rooms are updated and modern but are small and typical of older hotel/motel. We paid an extra $200/nite for Ocean view, a waste of money-it's only a partial because of the layout.

The hotel is excellent.

We just returned from a 5 day/ 4 night stay at Manchebo . We stayed in a gorgeous Garden View Room (#53). It was lovely and quiet. The Manchebo experience was perfect! From the welcoming drink to the goody bag at our departure and everything in between! The attention to detail is quite remarkable. Thank you one and all, we will return!

This is our third stay at Manchebo Beach. What a wonderful place to stay. The rooms, the grounds, eating areas and pool are the best. The beach, though, is just superb!!! We can't say enough about the staff. They are all excellent, from Joan in house keeping to Nical at the Pega Pega bar to Tamara at the Front Desk and of course Patrick, the assistant manager. Ike's Bistro, The Chop House and Pega Pega are great places to eat/dine.Manchebo Beach is within walkiing distance of the Alhambra Casino and some shops and a short taxi/bus ride to other restaurants and Oranjestad. Looking forward to our return.

High-quality quiet resort with great service, best beach in Aruba

My wife and I recently spent eight nights at the Manchebo Beach Resort and thoroughly loved it. Manchebo Beach, by far, is the nicest beach in all of Aruba, with a beach about 200 feet wide of pure white powder sand and amazing turquoise water. The resort has ample palapas. Every morning the staff greeted us, on our patio, and then brought out towels and chair covers to our palapa of choice. Even when we came to the beach later, we had no problem finding available palapas. We never saw a single vendor on the beach and the sunsets were amazing! Our room was fine, but somewhat on the small side, but our room was literally right off the beach, and we had a few nice ocean view from our patio. The rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator. As an added bonus, each room had a small cooler that would fit either a six pack or a bottle of wine Manchebo has three different restaurants including one right off the beach and pool. The Chophouse is a wonderful steak and seafood restaurant, and also has a small section for a sushi bar. The Chophouse also has a piano player who provided nice background music. The food was excellent and the prices are in line with most good restaurants, on the island. For breakfast, the Manchebo offered a buffet for $19, which seemed very expensive, so we ate in some of the surrounding hotel restaurants for less than $10. There is a Super Food grocery store fairly close by where you can also by beer and wine. The pool was small and did not have any type of swim up bar. The Resort has a fantastic Spa area, yoga everyday, and a nice gym area. A few nights, Manchebo had a few people singing in a bar, but overall the entertainment was limited. Manchebo has minimal activities for children. The service overall was great, and the Eagle Beach / Manchebo Beach area is much more low key compared to the high-rise Palm Beach area. Overall, a great, highly-recommended resort.

Wonderfull beach and very nice hotel

This was my first visit to Aruba - I could not have asked for a better place to stay. Manchebo Beach Resort is an excellent choice if looking for a quiet, beautiful, relaxing beach. Service is great, restaurants are excellent. Of special notice Jason at Omakese was wonderful, Very friendly and efficient service in your part . As a suggestion: should change mattresses, because they are already very soft and damage the back.

Perfect in paradise

My husband and I stayed here in the middle of July and everything exceeded our expectations. In fact, we enjoyed the location, the atmosphere and the food so much we never left the resort. (I do admit I am sad we didn't explore Aruba more, but the purpose of this vacation was to relax!) All the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful, Gustavo was the highlight as his stories, service and personality stood out! The beach was the most beautiful beach hands down, the weather was perfect, and with a palapa and cocktails there was no need to leave! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday at the resort and were never disappointed! The chia pudding, paella, and lobster night were definite treats! I would definitely recommend those with children stay elsewhere, I have 3 kids myself, and the atmosphere here is more conducive to adult relaxation. If I had my kids I would be worried they would be disturbing everyone else! I would not hesitate to recommend Manchebo, and I'm already dreaming of a return trip!
