Amazing destination
May 01 2013
We loved the resort. By far the best beach on the island with plenty of room to spread out. This is a small resort with no karaoke or blaring music late at night like some of the other resorts. The rooms are comfortable and the food was fantastic. We ate most dinners at Ike's Bistro the dishes are unique with a presentation to match. The staff at the restaurants, bar and hotel are warm and you cant help but be yourself and be comfortable. We cannot wait to go back.

Excellent location for romance, quiet uncrowded and beautiful beach. Above average level of service and friendliness of staff, rooms are updated and modern but are small and typical of older hotel/motel. We paid an extra $200/nite for Ocean view, a waste of money-it's only a partial because of the layout.

My husband and I just returned from our 4th trip to the Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa. I sound like a broken record, yet again, but simply put, we had the best time at our home away from home. All, and I do mean all, of the employees make the Manchebo a warm and inviting resort. From Diana in the morning supplying us with a hot pot of coffee for our oceanfront room, to Alex preparing our breakfast. Alejandra killing it on the beach, don't know how she does it in the sand all day! Jean at Ike's Bistro during dinner, always making me laugh! Every time we come back we create more memories with those we consider to truly be our friends. A+ for a job well done by EVERYONE at the Manchebo!

Amazing stay. Can’t wait to get back

The resort is on the best part of the island and most wonderful calm warm ocean beach. The amenities are all top notch and the rooms are clean spacious and with a good view. There are multiple restaurants on the grounds from casual to dine dining and the best was great at all of them. The staff was all very helpful, courteous and willing to help. My wife loved the spa and said it was the best massage she has gotten. Also, don’t miss yoga in the am down on the beach under the pavilion.

We loved this place in the 80's. While the island is very different...much much busier...Manchebo is as relaxed as we remembered it. The beach is uncrowded, the food was great, and the staff was fantastic. It's much more low key than the 'fancy' resort we went to xmas past, but Manchebo is where everyone wants to return. Special shout out to Alejandro for great beach service and the food at Pega Pega.

We love the laid-back ambiance at the Manchebo where you feel completely at ease from the moment you arrive and start to enjoy the discreet exceptional service offered here. This is our 4th time visiting and this year they gave us welcome home to the Manchebo t-shirts as repeat visitors of the resort -super nice touch! All the staff are so friendly and helpful. The beach here is amazing-huge expanse of white powdery sand with palapas scattered about so it feels pretty private when you are lounging in your beach chair. There is bar service at the beach but we really enjoy hanging at the beach bar Pega Pega with the staff of Ignacio and Lincoln et al mixing up excellent frozen cocktails, our favorite is the Manchito! We appreciate the healthy options to eat at breakfast like made-to-order eggs, steel cut oats and delicious smoothies. We enjoy having a relaxing couples massage at the spa. The spa evokes a Balinese serene setting right on the beach. I have been coming to Aruba for so long I still remember this resort as the Best Western Manchebo but the resort has really upped their game since then. The rooms are hotel room style and the sleep quality is wonderful with comfy mattresses that you sink into. The bathrooms are modernized with open showers and nice bath products. There is coffee in the room and a welcome plate of fruit and cheese. The ground floor room patio is steps from the beautiful sand and offers a nice place to relax and enjoy coffee in the morning or cocktails in the afternoon. Our visits always feel so short and we look forward to our return!

My husband and I were at Manchebo in October for our honeymoon. We had never been to Aruba and booked Manchebo simply off of it's great reviews.... and we couldn't be happier! From the moment you walk in to the moment you say goodbye, the staff does everything in their power to provide an incredible experience. We booked the all-inclusive and took advantage of all 3 on-site restaurants. By the second day, the staff knew our names, where we were from and our favorite foods. Lincoln at the Pega Pega bar became our go-to happy hour guru! He was wonderful, entertaining and a pleasure to see every day. We have stayed at a number of resorts with on-site restaurants, but none as good as the Chophouse. Harold and Jason (Steakhouse & Sushi Bar Waiters), were warm, welcoming and always helpful. They made every night feel like a celebration! Waking up to the view of Eagle Beach everyday was something we can't wait to do again. If you have the chance, treat yourself to a spa day. The private cabanas are beautiful and it's something we wish we did more of. It's safe to say we're already starting to schedule our travel back to Manchebo for our 1st Anniversary.
