Most relaxing vacation ever!

We visited at the end of March for a week of R&R and had a fabulous time! The staff are amazing...particular mention are Raymondo (nicest greeter and luggage guy ever), Saviel (super positive and friendly yoga instructor/activities co-ordinator), Samuel (smiley server), Katy (the most cheerful greeter at the buffet restaurant - a pleasure to see every morning!), Nataly and Ayrelis (the spa - great pedicures!) and Felix (super server). The resort is absolutely has lovely sitting spots everywhere to have a drink, watch the sunset or read a book...small and intimate...the rooms are lovely (we had third floor ocean view overlooking the spa). You were provided with everything you needed in your room/bathroom and the fridge was stocked daily. Activities were plentiful. The free shuttle over to Cayo Laventado was a nice way to spend part of a day. We never had an issue finding a spot to sit - we tended to be beach people going down in the afternoon rather than pool types. If there was any improvement needed, we would say that the food could be taken up a notch. Don't get me wrong: it was very good, but not "luxury". The Brazilian restaurant was excellent - and the buffet had a terrific variety with lots for everyone.....the Don Pablo was a disappointment, however. People mentioned a huge issue with 75 stairs to the beach - ? There are stairs everywhere, but no huge flights (and I have arthritis in my hips/knees). We will most definitely be back - it's lovely!

If you prefer peace and quiet this is for you!

The resort is on a peninsula, built on a cliffside with a small private beach. The beach is really quiet; it's all about relaxing and swimming. There's a small bar on the beach but no loud music, no rentals, no games, no rowdiness. Perfect for us. We had a sea view room which was spacious; the amenities in good shape; the bed comfortable; and a fridge restocked daily with drinks and chips. Air conditioning worked well and there was also a ceiling fan. Nice balcony too. Spotlessly clean. Thank you housekeeping! The buffet food was really good. Particular highlights were a daily roast something (meat or fish); hot and cold soups (yummy gazpacho), a Mexican station with excellent salsas, pico de galla and guacamole. We also liked the local foods: taro, yucca, yams, pigeon pea or bean stews. Thursday night is "gala night" at the buffet, which featured a lot of seafood. There are three a la carte restaurants and we tried two of them. DO NOT MISS the Rodizio! One thing: there are lots and lots of steps. Not just down to the beach but throughout the resort. If a person has mobility issues they could not go there. But it was part of the exercise routine for us (we are older, but fit) and we also liked the gym facilities. Those exercise opportunities were important to us because there is really nowhere to go for a long walk on the resort grounds. The staff were super. Lovely people who went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Highly recommended unless you want to party!

Very good resort, but very very very boring

if you're person who is looking for quite, very good food, gorgeous ocean view and excellent customer service, this resort is for you. This resort doesn't have sports activities such as : beach volleyball, beach soccer or tennis courts and it was very boring for me just to drink, to eat and sleep every day. Entertainment team and evening shows very poor. This resort doesn't have piano and sport bars, which is making your evening very boring. One more small disadvantage is STAIRS. I counted 84 stairs from Lobby to the beach.

Adult only paradise.

We were very happy with our accommodations, the cleanest rooms I have ever experienced in our many all inclusives. The food was spectacular. The buffet was just fantastic, EVERY SINGLE MEAL!! The restaurants were okay, definitely try them. The beach was small but very nice, even though the wind was quite strong and I would not partake for fear of the large waves. the pool area was excellent with lots of chairs so you never had to fight. The resort is not a party resort, if you want that go elsewhere. We had a few obnoxious guests we had to deal with every day...try and block that out!!

Hotel review very nice!!!!
