The first time I've gone on vacation by myself. Was a great experience. I was able to use the faculties at the two sister hotels. It was great

Little Glitch

When we arrived we were placed in rooms (not suites) at the sister hotel Playa Los Arcos, because they didn't have the Jr Suites we had booked for the first night. We were then put into the Jr Suites the second night. I am not sure the reason and we were a little disappointed that we had to move the second day. But all turned out well and we had a wonderful vacation. we had stayed at the Playa Los Arcos before but with this stay we really enjoyed the Los Arcos Suites. the Suites were by far quieter.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Los ARCOS Suites. The accomodations were simple and comfortable, as they were represented to be. We loved being able to walk everywhere and explore the old town area.

Great location, poor pickup service

Hotel was clean but needs updating. Location is the selling point. Apple pickup upon checking out was not available as promised.....had to hire a taxi to the airport. Otherwise a great vacation.

needs some serious updating in the rooms

the furniture in the rooms are old and dark making the room feel old and dark. also the humidity is so heavy in the room. we were brought a dehumidifier upon request that did help to relieve the feeling of being wet. even the sheets felt damp!

Los Arcos Suites - perfect for relaxing!
Dec 16 2012
having only 44 rooms, Los Arcos Suites is perfectly sized. The rooms are very comfortable and there are only 2 types so you do not have to worry about what sort of room you will get. They are both perfectly acceptable, much better than the selection at the main hotel on the beach. Some of the rooms are rented by the month so there is a laid back vibe at this property. Pool does not get much sun but the one directly across the street at their sister hotel is hard to beat for sunning, reading or relaxing with a pleasant breeze most days. I love this hotel and have been using it years and years. Try it and you will be glad you did.

Good middle class facility and service
Dec 04 2012
Have stayed at Los Arcos many times. It is a favorite primarily because of its great location to beach, restaurants, and downtown. Also, close to bus routes. Good service, clean rooms, not fancy but good beach vacation place in the Mexican tradition. Great place to watch the sunsets.

We had a wonderfull time, the suites are beautifull, big, clean, everything was great. Friendly and verry helpfull staf, a real bonus is the free botles of drinking water every day. It is Nice that the suites have a fridge and a little Kitchen, so we could make a coffee and breakfast. Overall we had a FANTASTIC time and can’t wait to come back!!!

Love this place! It's very convenient to everything you need (drug stores, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, beach, etc...) staff was courteous and accomodating for our late checkout. Loved having access to the other 2 properties for pool time.

Beautiful Rooms

This is a boutique hotel, small and authentic but having said that the rooms are a very good size. A little musty but in a tropical region it can't be helped and you get used to it pretty quick. Air conditioning in each room can be adjusted separately, access to 3 stunning pools, beach service - fantastic. The people are warm and friendly and will do what is necessary to help with what ever you need. I will absolutely go back.

Stolen credit card, loud, old, moldy, small, poor quality, poor service -- not worth your hard earned money.

Check-In When checking in, we were told the room we booked three months prior wasn't available. We were told that we could stay in a smaller room, but we'd have to move the next day, and still have to pay full price. The next day, we were told that our second room wasn't available yet, and we'd have to leave all of our valuables with the front desk. Given we had electronics, passports, etc, we complained for 30m until they finally gave us another room. After getting back from an outing and getting a chance to check-out our new (also horrible) room, we said forget it, checked out, and went down the road to another (vastly better) hotel for the same price. Quality The online pictures make this place look updated and modern -- it's far from it. You hear everything. The staff yelling at each other in the morning, the construction, the loud air conditioning units, everything. Your air conditioning has three settings: 1) super cold, 2) super stupid cold, and 3) "hell froze over" cold. The pool was the smallest in all of PV hotels (no sarcasm); I never saw anyone use it in over 36-hours. The "numerous cable channels" are all fuzzy. Bed was hard as a rock uncomfortable. You could visibly see mold in every room and crevice Food We ate here once, for breakfast -- fool me once, not twice. The breakfast buffet was sparse. The coffee was burnt. My omelet had egg shells, the center was runny and completely uncooked. The fruit was low quality, all of it sour -- and I had some fantastic fruit at other places. The pastries were so hard that my wife and I were playing frisbee at the table with one of them. FYI. They charge $10 (200 pesos) a person for this. For that, you can get 5x better at any of the local establishments. Thiefs My wife used her credit card ONCE while we were in Mexico... at Los Arcos Suites. Her credit card information was stolen and had $3,000 charged to it before a hold was put on the card. I find it ironic that this was less than two hours after checking out
