The first time I've gone on vacation by myself. Was a great experience. I was able to use the faculties at the two sister hotels. It was great

Little Glitch
Nov 18 2015
When we arrived we were placed in rooms (not suites) at the sister hotel Playa Los Arcos, because they didn't have the Jr Suites we had booked for the first night. We were then put into the Jr Suites the second night. I am not sure the reason and we were a little disappointed that we had to move the second day. But all turned out well and we had a wonderful vacation. we had stayed at the Playa Los Arcos before but with this stay we really enjoyed the Los Arcos Suites. the Suites were by far quieter.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Los ARCOS Suites. The accomodations were simple and comfortable, as they were represented to be. We loved being able to walk everywhere and explore the old town area.

Great location, poor pickup service

Hotel was clean but needs updating. Location is the selling point. Apple pickup upon checking out was not available as promised.....had to hire a taxi to the airport. Otherwise a great vacation.

needs some serious updating in the rooms

the furniture in the rooms are old and dark making the room feel old and dark. also the humidity is so heavy in the room. we were brought a dehumidifier upon request that did help to relieve the feeling of being wet. even the sheets felt damp!

Los Arcos Suites - perfect for relaxing!
Dec 16 2012
having only 44 rooms, Los Arcos Suites is perfectly sized. The rooms are very comfortable and there are only 2 types so you do not have to worry about what sort of room you will get. They are both perfectly acceptable, much better than the selection at the main hotel on the beach. Some of the rooms are rented by the month so there is a laid back vibe at this property. Pool does not get much sun but the one directly across the street at their sister hotel is hard to beat for sunning, reading or relaxing with a pleasant breeze most days. I love this hotel and have been using it years and years. Try it and you will be glad you did.

Good middle class facility and service
Dec 04 2012
Have stayed at Los Arcos many times. It is a favorite primarily because of its great location to beach, restaurants, and downtown. Also, close to bus routes. Good service, clean rooms, not fancy but good beach vacation place in the Mexican tradition. Great place to watch the sunsets.

My best vacation ever!

From the beautiful clean rooms, attention to detail and guests, Los Arcos Suites is the perfect place for a wonderful stay in Old Town. We had a wonderful time. Check out the many markets that pop up. And make sure you tip generously.

My husband and I have stayed at the Suites 4 years in a row now. We have stayed in various rooms at the resort ( main ) hotel often but prefer the room sizes , amenities, and peacefulness of the Los Arcos Suites which is across the street from the main hotel. The beauty is that we can use all the facilities in al 3 of their properties. The pools are lovely... hot tub, infinity, regular pool. The service and food are very good and convenient. Wonderful beach and unlimited restaurants and shops flooding the Old Town (Romantic zone) location of this wonderful resort. We love Los Arcos Resirt and Suites! I gave the rooms a 4 only because it is and old hotel but very clean and confortable... if you insist on state of the art, high end furnishings, decor, go elsewhere. This has an “Old Town” PV feel

Great Location, Too Loud Though

Great location, but it is loud. I love staying in “Old Town” Puerto Vallarta. Los Arcos is right on the beach, steps from the Malecon, and in the main restaurant area. We never had any trouble getting lounge chairs and sun-umbrellas, even though the hotel was full and we usually seemed to arrive later than everyone else. The staff were friendly. The room was ok – we rented a jr. suite with a kitchenette, which consisted of two slow-to-heat-up stove-top burners, a mini-fridge, a sink, coffee maker, toaster, and some plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, and pans. There was no microwave, oven, coffee or coffee filters, salt etc. The reason I say the room was ok was just that it didn’t have any nice finishings – the paint on the walls was a bit chipped, the toilet had a small crack, and the dresser drawers didn’t move easily. However, I’ve found that most of what I described so far is pretty typical of an Old Town PV hotel and it’s fine with me. The major issue I had with this hotel, and why I likely wouldn’t stay there again, was the noise. We were woken up around 7am every morning by hammering and other maintenance work. By 7:30am the restaurant staff had music going. I think the noise would likely be an issue in most of the rooms, as they all face the inner pool area where the restaurant is. This wasn’t a party hotel, it just felt very loud in the mornings and made it difficult to sleep in. The view from our room onto the pool and ocean was quite nice.

Los Arcos Suites is where we stay when we start our annual PV vacation. We stay here for a few days before we move to our condo on the beach. It is an older hotel, but it has been kept up well. We like being able to use the pool at the sister hotel across the street. We have already made our reservations for next year. condo. The hotel is older, but has been kept up fairly well.
