Everything about the place was awesome. Weather was perfect, golf was great, the house we rented was great. Went kayaking out in the bay early in the morning got to see about 6or7 blue whales, and the water was like glass.

hotel rooms have a great view of the sea of cortez, facility was pretty quiet with not a lot customers there so a few of the hotel services were not available, signage was needed every where had to ask where everything was, the spa was located on the 3 rd floor and no elevator close by ,not sure if it is a good place for older folks. the restaurant has a great breakfast, and lunch but supper was not very good at all and it wasn't just one item.everything was extremely bland,

A Glorious Seaside Resort.

Stayed at this beautiful resort when we went for whale watching. It is an ideal place to make your base and has plenty to offer and lots to do. There's a lot for kids to do and it is just great to walk along the beach. At Los tide, you can walk around the hill and see lots of marine animals.

We went to the Resort to go whale watching. Initially we were going to see the Greys on the Pacific side and once we were there learned of the Blues and the Fins in the Sea of Cortez. Next year we will spend more time there. The food, service was excellent. This is a safe area so we slept with our patio slider open listening to waves all night long. Highly recommend this resort and Loreto Bay!!

Needs some updating but clean and reasonably priced

The hotel is located in a small village about five miles from Loreto, and is in a quiet, peaceful location. The initial impression of the resort was good, as the grounds and garden areas are well kept, the ocean view was lovely. The property has seen it's better days and needs some attention to be first rate again. We had rented a junior suite, which was a small room, with an adjacent patio area. The room itself was a bit shabby and not comfortable to lounge in. Comfortable beds, pillows and deck chairs would have added a lot to our experience. Although there was a television, there was only one American news channel, with no movies or other programming, so nothing much to do when the sun went down. That said, the staff was helpful and friendly and everything was clean and neat. The pool area has both an adult and children's pool, and a lovely deck area where families can sit, eat snacks and have a beer or drink while looking at a beautiful ocean view. There is a quiet stretch of beach, complete with lounge chairs and shade structures, right beyond the deck, which is the nicest feature of the resort. Morning walks and afternoons spent reading and playing in the water really made this vacation for us. The resort does have bikes, paddle boards and kayaks available for guests for an hour per day. There are several cute little restaurants and a coffee shop within easy walking distance, which made our stay more pleasant, as the resort food was fairly average. My biggest complaint, which seems rather silly, is that they put permanent plastic bracelets on you as you check in, which guest are to wear throughout the stay to signify guest status. My husband and I thought this was tacky and would have preferred a lanyard card or some other way to designate we "belonged" there. Its funny how little things can leave an overall poor impression. All of this said, the surrounding area is beautiful; striking mountains, desert and ocean. The town of Loreto was large enough to have several good restaurants and fun shops. The opportunities to snorkel, boat, fish or dive were readily available. We made it a great getaway. We both agreed, however, that we wouldn't return to this resort.
