Beautiful location, beautiful hotel

I stayed at the villas across the road from this hotel, but I spent 3 months enjoying the same beach and pools and activities as hotel patrons. This hotel looks fabulous but it is almost always empty, which is eerie. where IS everyone? There is a security guard at the front who is adamant about questioning you before granting access. The front desk attendants are helpful and speak good english. the grounds are immaculate, the pool sparkling clean, the beach is kept clean by a beach ATV pulling a large rake. The beach activities shack is run by Jorge, a wonderful magnanimous gentleman who carries your paddle board and kayak to the water for you, teaches you how to dig for clams, and shares his hot sauce and tequila. Unbeatable view, nice rooms!

Front desk staff is very friendly, we upgraded to the Ocean Front Master Suite for a discounted price. Views are truly phenomenal, you can touch the stars at night. Jacuzzi, and shade, if needed. However, January is not the time of year in Loreto for a rooftop deck, beachfront. It is extremely windy and chilly. We laughed when we originally arrived to see the front desk staff in coats... we weren't laughing as we put on our sweaters. I tried my best to use the deck, but it was pointless, thought I could at least sit in a hot tub...nope! No hot water. The rooms are nice, walls paper thin. It's nice that they have security, not nice that you hear them about every hour thru the night. No hot water, for the shower OR the jacuzzi, a part broken which wouldn't be arriving for a few days. So, we left the hotel after one night. Didn't eat at the restaurants, no review there. Front desk was very accomodating, with no problems refunding our money. I might go back if I knew they had hot water FOR SURE and brought earplugs. More>

Beautiful and challenging course

Well manicured course. Surrounded by mountains on one side and the Sea of Cortez on the other Some elevated tees and greens. Nasty traps and lots of water hazards. Difficult shots over the bay and gusty winds at times. $100 a round is steep but monthly unlimited pass is only $240 which is a bargain. Beautiful vistas but bring some spare balls! More>

Nice Location

We had three days accommodation at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable with a king size bed. The furnishings are motel style. We spent three days without hot water which you can imagine was very annoying. The staff were wonderful especially the front desk staff who really did try to help us. We had a very nice lunch at the restaurant. There was a good selection on the menu. Breakfast was al a carte which I prefer. Unfortunately the hotel was very quiet as we are here in the winter season. This is reflected in what is being offered to guests. More>

Paradisiac place, but...

I spend new years eve at this hotel. It definitely has a great location, great buildings, beach, etc... As tou can imagine it is a paradisiac place. Unfortunately some places are "death"... Half of the staff was absent, so they can not fullfill your wishes, etc. There's a pool restaurant "close because of the wind"... With such a great view!!! You should cover the sides with some plastic/glass, invest in heaters and that's it... By the way if it's not working: clean up the place. There was dirty dishes during the five days I stay there... Sports bar: open to public during the day just because you can get there by stairs... But the place is death and dirty. Watch out, keep it clean... Housekeeping: you need to hire more people... After leaving for 6 hours when we got back, our room was as we left it... Staff: great. Very welcoming. Place: amazing Amenities: wonderful to have some sports included (bike kayak etc) More>
