We enjoyed our visit , nice clean rooms ,pools and wellkept grounds. The staff was friendly , but slow at times. Our best meals were taken in the local downtown cafes. The ocean water was a little chilly yet beaches were sunny and warm.

This resort is not an all-inclusive resort - even though it can be purchased like that!

We were a group of 7 friends who purchased the all-inclusive package. The resort is not set up that way. It caters to travellers not those wanting to stay for a week. The service was ok - until 2 days in when a couple of us tried to order some items off the very limited dinner menu and were told we were not allowed - even though we had paid as all-inclusive. After getting our vacation rep to talk to the hotel management, we were finally allowed to order everything except for 2 items on the menu. Unfortunately, after this incident, the service of the staff both in the restaurant and the bar declined considerably - to the point we almost felt invisible. We flipped between the one restaurant mostly for breakfast and the pool restaurant - in the open air - for lunches and dinner. The resort amenities listed as a sports bar and 2 restaurants was inaccurate. We were told the sports bar would be open before the weekend. On Friday night (our last night) the colored lights around the perimenter of the bar were turned on, and the 2 TV's inside the bar were on but there was no one around to serve us. And if they could have - they needed a key to get into the padlocked coolers! There were few patrons at the hotel - which should have been our first clue. The pool was bath-tub warm - a good thing as the beach was cold and filled with seaweed which was not cleaned up until our last morning at the resort. The rooms were ok - thankfully the beds were comfortable, and the views from the balconies were wonderful. However, the cleaning and replacement of items was very poor. We were never sure returning to our rooms at the end of the day if we would have towels or replacement shampoo etc. to use. The resort itself was clean overall. In the end, after travelling for 15 years, this was the worst experience we have ever had. It was NOT worth the money we paid - and we purchased our trip last September when the price was lower. Extremely disappointed.

Beautiful Resort

Stopped here on the way to Mulege’. Place was beautiful, rooms clean and staff friendly. I would definitely recommend this wonderful place. It was well worth the 109 bucks. Food was good , especially the chipotle salsa

Amazing situation but lacking in atmosphere

This is a self contained resort catering for Americans who drive down from the North in their big four wheel drives. It caters for then very well. It has a lovely beach and pool and golf course. There is a restaurant called a wine bar on the campus, that says it serves tapas but actually serves oversize Mexican with lots of refried beans. The on site restaurant has all the atmosphere of a school gym. The Staff were helpful and the room had s sea view. It is a convenient place to stay if you are visiting Loreto and have transport, but it is 7 Km out of town.

What a pit

Loreto Bay was visited for golf. The resort is not a part of this. The golf course which we were told was owned by multi million maybe billion aire Carlos Slim was a real pit. As you drive in the first reaction of all six of us was. “OMG is this disgusting what a pit.” Get out of the taxi and get blasted by the overwhelming odor of some type of room deodorizer that is enough to make you sick. Nobody greets you or tells you where to go. Dirt and dust broken concrete everywhere. Pay for golf and carts have to ask the guy to bring them and when they finally do they are so dusty you can’t sit in them. No range balls to hit not even to buy by the bucket. No signs to where you go because they’re all broken. Cart paths dirt and mud. I’ve said enough... Suffice to say not a good golf experience.
