As other reviewers here have noted, the Inn at Loreto Bay has an absolutely stunning location. The property itself is beautiful and the views of the Sea of Cortez, the mountains and the islands cannot be beat. The room we booked was exceptionally large, nicely furnished with a balcony overlooking the sea. Plus you get to use all of the equipment - snorkeling, kayaks, etc - for free during your stay. Also the beach here is probably the best in Loreto. Very large, gorgeous pool too.
Now for the bad news. There is something strange about a place that operates loud fogging machines during breakfast, plays Mexican rap music over the sound system when the clients are mostly middle aged Americans and Canadians and plays rock music in the "disco bar" until late at night when there are no patrons. Maybe things are different during the high season.
That being said, we stayed at the Inn (it's not an inn - it's an expansive resort) for four days while we looked around for a house to rent for our two week stay. I suggest that if you can get a good deal through one of the booking companies and don't mind the occasional management quirk, the Inn at Loreto Bay is worth it since the place and its setting really are absolutely stunning.

this place was situated in an awesome place of the bay, very beautiful location, but did found some inconstancies with front desk tha made stay a little less than pleasant. This hotel is majorly understaffed. There employees are awsome and hard working but they are overworked. so things get done a little slower.

Missing Loreto already, we enjoyed our vacation so much we are looking to book next years vacation.we were told that best time to would be month of May to July.I will definitely stsy longer this time.we are all missing the cocoloco that Manuel made for us, if you go there ask for virgin cocoloco for your kids and alcohol with adult, don't be surprised it has rum, vodka and PINACOLADA in it, yummy.my only complaints its hard to figure out the washer / dryer combo and thr soap at the market too perfumy.overall can't wait to go back.

Stayed at Loreto Bay resort to explore Coronado island, Mulege and Bahia de Conception in mid-July. I was surprised by unseasonal weather on the 2nd day: it rained all morning long - cats and dogs. But next day was a completely different story - sunny and clear. Hotel helped me arrange the boat to Coronado island the day before with other people who are going from the same hotel. We got a really good deal since we ended up being a group of half-a dozen people. Tour operator picked us up on a golf cart and it was smooth sailing from there - we watched dolphins dance, birds with blue feet on the rocks and got to swim with school of beautiful yellow and black striped sergeant major fishes - they will nibble on your feet if you are not moving so watch out sushi eaters: YOU are the lunch! Tour operator provided us with awesome home cooked lunch at the island. Best boat trip ever. Back at hotel, my room was very spacious, bright, clean and very well appointed with nice ocean view. Lots of closet space, quiet and modern air conditioner, awesome flat screen TV, mini-fridge, free water and coffee. Since it gets pretty hot in Baja sur during the summer, I figured it would be slow season everywhere and that's the case pretty much wherever you go but that is precisely why I went - to relax where there would not be a lot of people. In the morning, I was the only person at the pool on some days which was great but I'm pretty sure that will change as the property seems to be under new management and doing lots of improvements as I witnessed. I really enjoyed my stay there.
