Overall the resort sucked.. had a horrible time checking in. There is n AC so we had to wait over 2 hours in the heat to check in. The food overall was HORRIBLE. The maids were very kind and there is nothing to do at this resort. We will not be going back to this resort

Hotel was nice, I would recommend it and go again. Some of public bathrooms need a lot of work. There were too many prostitutes on the premises. I was approached several times and my wife did not like knowing prostitutes were on the premises.

I believe that if the hotel accommodations are part of a time share and that participation in a time share talk is included it should be disclosed. We were literally hounded (as were other guests) by an army of representatives who literally followed us around and would not take no for an answer until we agreed to listen to the first part of the presentation. This took valuable time out of our vacation and did not contribute to relaxation which after all is the point of a vacation right? Would never return or recommend this resort. Also, have been traveling with Apple for over 20 years and this has left a bad impression on me and I will carefully chose next vacation. It should also be noted that we were informed that they have a relationship with Apple and they give the rooms to Apple at no charge and then they get access to the travelers. If this is true, I am also concerned at the price I paid for the stay to Apple if Apple got my room for free. Sounds like false advertising and a little unethical.

Checkin was a nightmare! Overworked employees created an "I don't care anymore" attitude. High pressure sales attmosphere. Service disappears when you don't go to "The Tower" I litterally had a sales rep run after me after his 15 minutes turned into 30. Rooms were very dated. Futon cushion was slick with body oils, hard and flat. We had a pleasant experience in 2014 and decided to try it again. Mini bar was never restocked, had to call for towels, shower spills onto bathroom floor creating a flood, patio doors are impossible to open and close. All in All a horrible experience.

We did not have a good experience. The rooms were not updated, cockroaches were in the rooms. Managers yelling at employees in front of us. Food wasn't well prepared, did not seem they put much attention to food.

The VIP people trying to get you to buy a time share where very annoying from the moment you get to the hotel, I called them vampires. Once we refused the "tour" and told them we were not interested in any kind of time share, the man was EXTREMELY rude and was actually angry with us. I paid the $60 for a WEEK of Wifi which was supposed to be good anywhere on the resort. It worked 30% of the time at best and wouldn't work at all in many areas of the resort which was frustrating at best. We lost water once during a shower and electric was lost once as well. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Resort staff was friendly and did well for the most part communicating in english. The food was fair. I got sick, not sure if it was the ice cubes in our drinks or what but it was horrible. We tipped the staff well the week were there so we were treated very well.

The hotel was nice for the price and being an all-inclusive. The maids however did not restock the shampoo, towels, etc. they also would come by our room at 7:30am every morning, which was annoying when we were trying to sleep.

Check in took a long time because our Apple Rep, Larry told us we were getting 3 rooms right together and that did not happen. He also promised us ocean view suite style rooms. Only one of the rooms was ocean view and another one was suite style. Unfortunately, the hotel could not accomodate these promises by Apple Vacations. Showers (water pressure & temperature control) were really really bad. Some days, no hot water, or even water at all, and some days mild pressure. Maid service was great and overall it was very clean. Our mini bar was full on first day, but hotel explained that their contract with Apple Vacations did not allow it to be restocked during our stay. Not sure if that is "All Inclusive" or not, but was disappointed. Shuttle service was great and so was the pool / ocean area. Casablanca buffet restaurant was not the greatest, spent more time eating at the Confresi Beach Resort buffet down the road called the Pearl. That place was very clean and pleasant. Hotel personnel was very nice (front desk, bell hops, and maids). Apple Vacations personnel (located in the Lobby) were very personable, but messed up one of our excursions (very disappointing), and was unable to fix it to our satisfaction. This occurred on our last day of stay. The hotel had a Mini Mart on site which came in very handy. It carried a huge variety of items. Only other complaint would be the harrassment of the Time Share Personnel that continually harrassed you every time you walked around the resort. They are like pesky flies. Beach area was wonderful!!! Loved the accomodations in the pool and beach areas.

Upon arrival at 3:30pm, I waited nearly 3 hours for my room in a non-air-conditioned, approximately 98 degree lobby. After 2 hours, the staff attempted to put me in a villa miles apart from the rest of my group. I declined and was given my room on the main resort approx 45 mins later. The front desk staff is rude and the manager hides in an office behind closed doors. I find it ridiculous that you have to pay $3 a day in cash for a safe (which also required 3 separate trips to the lobby to get to work properly). While I had a newly remodeled room, I found it far from functional and the noise of the occupants above and below be was unbearable. I didn’t sleep the entire week I was there due to other patrons and the fact that maids flagrantly disregard the “do not disturb” signs (they also have the ability to open your hotel door when the deadbolt is engaged, which made me feel unsafe). It look several days for me to have drinks delivered to my room that were to be included. When I arrived to my room there was a 1/2 drank bottle of water in the fridge, I immediately alerted the staff and they never delivered my drinks. The next day, the staff argued that you only receive drinks the first day (which I never got) and therefore, refused to deliver them. After multiple trips to the lobby, and a conversation with the manager it was still not cared for. Finally, on day 4 a bartender took pitty on me and called to have drinks delivered for me. I cannot emphasis enough how rude and incompetent the front desk and guest services are. If you call, they will often let it ring without ever answering or will pick up and immediately hang up on you. If there was ever an emergency you would surely be out of luck. I was bit over 30 times by a mosquito while sleeping, no windows or doors were open. The resort is massive to a fault. The shuttles are garbage and not timely. There are a ton of stairs to get to the beach. Additionally, if you like to be close to the water, you can only walk at the shoreline, as there are no loungers. They essentially have the beach “ropped off” with glass and one small entry way/staircase down. The ocean water is also unimpressive as it is the Atlantic, while it’s not something they can control, it’s worth nothing. Majority of Service and Cleaning staff are helpful. Food is mediocre. Guest services and front desk crew will lie and do anything to not assist you. If you enjoy having to go to the lobby in excess of 25 times in a week and spend an inordinate amount of time on the phone trying to solve problems, you’ll love it! I wouldn’t return for diamonds.

Very Fun Trip!

We had a really great time with all the fun games and all the fun entertainment at night. At one of the shows one of the entertainment crew member monkey, held up our country flag (Guyana) and it felt welcoming. We enjoyed the water aerobics with Tequila. We enjoyed every night at the Colosseum and my husband won the Micheal Jackson competition. It was an awesome trip, we had an amazing time. It was very family friendly thanks to Black diamond, Superman, Skinny boy, Pamela and Monkey from Confresi palms and Tequila, Shaggy and Cappuccino from The Tropical.

Overall the trip went well. But, there were some snafus upon arrival. Room wasn’t ready for 2.5 hours. They took my luggage and we had no idea who was watching it. Before receiving the room they pitched the all inclusive package which we found out later on had the same value for those who paid a lesser price. Upon entering the room although nice, it was not what I paid for “I was disappointed. “ There was an available buffet where the breakfast was nice but the lunch questionable. The menu did not change much and for the price paid for the all inclusive, one would think that there would be more of a variety of food. People if you are allergic to cats/dogs beware! The roaming cats and dogs are all over the place. Stray dogs and cats in the buffet dining area, stray dogs and cats in the cabanas by the pool, stray dogs and cats in the luxury eating areas, stray dogs and cats sipping water by the pools. I must mention that although I love my Latin community when on vacation I would actually like to communicate in some form of English. No one spoke English or if they could they chose not too, “ All the TV programming with the exception of one channel was in Spanish.” There were a lot of complaints from others couples that we met at the resort, especially about the rooms having mold. And don’t let me forget the power went off considerably in 90° weather. Conserving energy I understand but maybe they should do it during the daytime while most people are out enjoying the day not at night when people are trying to sleep and now the room is burning up. There were a few employees with attitudes but for the most part they were friendly. Also the pool and beaches were closed off by 6pm and with the exception of a show, dinner, and drinking by the huts, there was nothing else to do at night. The one good thing this resort does have is beach scenery. The cabanas by the beach and the staff are wonderful. A breathtaking area. As a last note they should warn you about how persistent they are about selling the vacation property plans. How many times can a person say no on their vacation before getting irritated?

Unpleasant.

WHERE DO I BEGIN. Right from the second our bachelorette party got there - we were split into two DIFFERENT villas, instead of 1 like we originally paid for. THEN we only got ONE golf cart for 12 GIRLS. They told us to keep going back and forth or to utilize the shuttles that we had to wait for each time we wanted to go there. ALSO mosquitos all over our rooms, some rooms had spiders and cockroaches - even after getting the rooms fumigated.. they were still present. The one good thing we can say is that the food at every restaurant was delicious but it was your luck if you got a reservation or not. First two nights we did not get a reservation and had to beg a restaurant to let us in. Illeana (desk lady for vip bookings) was really nice. Other than that, the resort was not very accommodating. They didn't even refund our money back for having a bachelorette party stay in separate villas, or for the bugs, etc. Beautiful beaches and pools, but they definitely need to renovate some areas.
