If rinky dink is your idea of an ideal hotel then this is the place for you! I was not expecting luxury but I was expecting breakfast to be included as was promised when I made the booking. The first shocker was the US$100 room deposit at check-in. Accommodations were pre-paid with a card on file. The room turned out to be basic and clean, with 1 threadbare towel per guest and 1 small bar of soap for each day. Bring your own lotion, shampoo, beach towels, etc. The next morning I was rather aggressively informed that breakfast was US$14 per person. Headed off to the spot next door where the service was much friendlier and the food cheaper but good. We stayed for 4 nights during which time both the yard and the bathroom flooded. Ate mostly at nearby food spots. Everyone on here says the staff is nice and they are to an extent. There was an undercurrent of aggressiveness in all of my interactions. I was not rude or impolite and went far out of my way to be understanding. I blamed it on the working conditions. The hotel is in a state of disrepair and the staff know very well that the service is substandard. I would definitely return to Negril but would not stay at Legends if given a choice.

Enjoyed my stay!!!

As a new travel agent, my first clients were actually my aunt and uncle. They went to Legends for their Anniversary. Check In was pleasant and easy. But when they got to their room, they couldn't believe what they saw. It was nothing like what had been described in the advertisement and in the pictures. There was a mattress with no springs sitting on a wooden box. They said it was terribly uncomfortable. The "closet" was barely big enough for their suitcase. The room door lock was broken, the handle was broken, the door was mildewy, and they still use lock and real metal keys. Their view from their room was supposed to be garden view, but it was a dumpster and other trash. There was an open vent in the bathroom which allowed flies and bugs to come into the room. My clients did not feel safe or comfortable. As a travel agent when I called the resort's front desk, some one answered and said that they couldn't hear me and acted as if they were struggling to understand me and hung up the phone. By the 3rd call to the resort someone had answered and I told them my issue and requested a better room for my clients. The person instructed me to call another number and said have a great night. Before I could hang up, the person started to speak again and I realized it had been a recording all along. And the number that they gave was a bogus non working number. Totally bamboozled. It was ridiculous and FAKE! Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this so called resort for booking. It is old, outdated and unkempt. Its not fit for the money that people spend for vacation. The one plus was that the food was good.

It was a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly especially the cook. We were entertained by miss Jason in the evening. It was pleasant to know breakfast was available until 11.30. So there was rush to get up. The room was warm and cosy and had a nice shower. Everything is walking distance from hotel.

We enjoyed our 6 night stay here. The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and there was plenty of options. The beach was beautiful. Yes, there were vendors passing by often, but they did not harass. If you say no thank you, they move on. If you really don't want to be bothered with the vendors, choose not to sit on the loungers in the front row of the beach.
