Amazing Stay for our anniversary!!

Top of the line resort with wonderful amenities! We stayed in a suite with hot tub in room and butler service. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have to leave the resort if we did not want to and received resort credits for extra experiences. The chefs will create special plates if asked, and the all-inclusive actually included delicious food and drink. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful Yet Again

This was the tenth visit to LeBlanc for my wife and I. We have brought our family before. We just don't see the point of going anywhere else anymore. Amazing service guaranteed. Excellent food. Incredible spa services. Friendly smiling faces all around. Wonderful pools and white sand beach. No matter what your circumstances before you arrive, an amazing calm hits you as soon as you walk in. The entire staff will make you feel like you're the most important folks in the resort. Always good entertainment. This time an incredible live band. People ask "Don't you get tired of going to the same place?" and with no hesitation emphatically "no". It's like a second home for us only you don't need to do anything for yourself. The amazing staff take care of anything you need. Please visit and enjoy. You will love it.

Amazing!!!! No complaints top of the line!!

This hotel meets expectations to the fullest! Every is A+++++ would definitely come back. The service was great. Every floor had a butler which was awesome. The hotel smells of lavender which is amazing! They cater to your every need. This should be rated a 7 star!

Great service, as usual. STILL NEEDS vegetarian menu...

This is our 4th or 5th trip to Le Blanc (I've lost count!) and overall, everything was great. The vegetarian food options still need help (see 2015 review of Le Blanc by my husband, JulioG1985), but there has been some improvement. Part of the joy of being on vacation is not having to think about what you are eating at your next meal - the chef does this for you! Unfortunately for vegetarians, it's not this simple. Most restaurants have one or two vegetarian options (see brief descriptions below), and if you want something else you have to figure it out yourself and explain to the waiter what you want and how to make it. Sometimes they can figure it out themselves, sometimes they can't and the chef comes out and tries to talk you through it. This is a kind of embarrassing process in my experience and I try to avoid at all costs. Sometimes you get something good, sometimes things are lost in translation and you get something not so good. Waitstaff tends to think that fish is vegetarian, and this complicates matters. Every restaurant asks if you have allergies at the hostess stand. I tell them that I have a meat allergy, but they bring meat-filled appetizers to me anyway. One restaurant has "vegetarian" designations on its menu -- the international restaurant. The vegetarian options are still very limited, though (one appetizer and one salad). The "gluten free" options are abound if that's your thing, though. It seems as though the executive chef or whoever is designing the menu at Le Blanc restaurants perceives that clients want meat and steaks or meals otherwise centered around protein. Every restaurant has a long list of proteins and even protein upgrade options, but there is no such thing as an entree salad or veggie dish listed on the menu. The lunch (but not dinner) desserts are fantastic. The dinner dessert descriptions are very unclear ("chocolate in motion", "tofu cheese and cake") and the few that we ordered were not very good. The exception was at the Italian restaurant, where the chocolate flower in motion (chocolate soup) and take on strawberry shortcake were very well done. It would be incredibly helpful if the restaurants would include photos or molds of the desserts so we could have some idea of what we are ordering. The wifi, especially the wifi on the beach, is very fast. This is a notable improvement since our last visit. We were able to stream movies using the Apple TV. The cabana service was on point and we tried the spa for the first time because the weather was bad our first day at the resort. I had the 50 minute Olympic massage and my husband had a Swedish 80 minute massage. You get your choice of 3 essential oils. The service was excellent. A few problems: 1) the spa was very disorganized and gave me someone else's service ticket. They had me signed up for an 80 minute Swedish massage under someone else's name. 2) the staff told me to show up 30 minutes early to fill out a form. The form took 2 minutes to fill out and I was left sitting in the waiting area for 30 minutes. 3) the staff asks you if you want to use the hydrotherapy / sauna facilities before your massage, but they don't tell you ahead of time that you need a swimsuit to use these facilities. It would be helpful to tell people this when they call to make an appointment. I would have not minded the 30 minute wait for my service if I was able to use the other facilities, but I did not being a swimsuit to the spa. Be sure to ask at if sea turtles are being released every day at the front desk! We were participate in the releases twice during our stay and it was so much fun! Also, be sure to grab a flambe coffee between 4pm and 5pm in the main lobby. They make the best whipped cream. My husband and I were really disappointed that Le Blanc did not have its signature smell. In previous visits, you would smell this relaxing lavender blend aromatherapy everywhere you went. This time, the smell was bland revealing typical hotel scents of bleach and excess humidity. Our floor smelled strongly of peppermint when you got out of the elevators. Sea turtles were released almost every night and we got two chocolate turtles on check-out as a gift! The butler filled our fridge with Perrier upon request. We always had extra bottles in our room. Also, the ocean was really rough because of a storm system in the area. A wave knocked my sunglasses off, and the lifeguard snorkeled looking for them for quite awhile. He didn't find them, but it's the effort that counts! I also tried the Pilates reformer class. It was my first time and nobody else showed up, so I got a free personal training session! Here's a list of the current vegetarian options in the restaurants: French restaurant: didn't bother with this given our precious experience. International for dinner: plantain and mole appetizer (not great in my opinion, plaintains were hard and mole too sweet). The manager asked what we thought of the food and I told him the plantain dish was too sweet. He appeared to be upset with my feedback and gave me a lesson on Mole and how it's supposed to be sweet. He was a little bit condescending. They make a cheese quesadilla that was removed from the menu but I ordered it anyway and it was very good. The house appetizer at this place is an avocado mayonnaise (definitely NOT guacamole) and corn tortillas. The avocado mayo is not great - it's like they are trying to hard to make Mexican food fancy. Save the tortillas for your meal, though! We ordered chips and salsa the second time we went there even though it wasn't on the menu. They make excellent homemade salsas. A vegetarian salad exists, although I did not try it. I ordered vegetarian fajitas for my meal and they were pretty good. Make sure you ask for the homemade corn tortillas. Otherwise they will give you the ones from the package. Since the resort advertises that they will cook you any food you want, my husband asked for carne asada and this really confused the waiter. He asked what that was and my husband had no idea because he doesn't cook! The waiter talked to the chef and came back with more questions (e.g., can this be made from fajita meat?) and my husband gave up and ordered something else. I find it funny that it's so hard to get everyday Mexican food at this resort. They try to make things too fancy and it shows, especially in the desserts. I tried to order the caramel flan dish for dessert but the waiter brought something else. My husband and I took one bite from our desserts and found them inedible. The dessert translations were really bad across the board. In this case, "Caramel flan" was translated to "caramel creme". International for breakfast: this is the best breakfast buffet ever! Tons of Mexican food, standard American fare, French toasts/crepes, fruits (I love the tropical fruit selection) and breads. A chef is stationed there to make you whatever you ask for. The service was good but sometimes they were really slow to bring coffee. International for lunch: The vegetarian sushi selection is much improved! There are six different kinds of rolls that are vegetarian. Most of them were excellent. I ate this almost everyday. There was always a ton of veggies on the buffet too. But nothing was labeled as vegetarian, and so it is difficult to tell if someone is fried in animal fat or somehow otherwise exposed to meat. Also, the lunch buffet had these rich, chocolate "orbs" (see picture). they are amazing! The orbs have a very thick, rich mousse filling with a bit of creme brûlée or fruit jam. The exterior is coated with high gloss chocolate. These are fantastic! Italian: caprese is always solid and I asked for a cheese ravioli in cream sauce. It was great! Besides caprese, there is nothing vegetarian on the menu here. The house breads are amazing. Asian: there are only three vegetarian options on the menu - a vegetarian sushi roll, spinach and mushroom soup and a rice noodle dish with tofu. I've had the rice noodle dish before and it was not good at all. I was very surprised that the spinach and noodle soup tasted completely different from one day to the next- the first time I had it the soup was excellent, the second time not so much. I ordered a vegetable tempura roll (not on the menu) and schezuan tofu and vegetables with fried rice (double tofu, double vegetables). This is not on the menu either. If you don't order double tofu/vegetables, you get 2 slices of zucchini, two pieces of asparagus, a few slides of carrot and spinach - Definitely not enough for a meal. The sauce is very good, though. I wouldn't recommend the tofu noodle dish. The desserts did not sound very enticing and so we never tried them. Snack bar: one veggie option - the mango salad. The dressing is tasty! You could probably order the nachos without shrimp, too. My husband tried the Philly sandwich and wasn't crazy about it. We also ordered room service ice cream almost every day. The ice cream is very very rich and we got it topped with homemade whipped cream which is very tasty. One day they gave us a very small serving and we had to request more ice cream, but otherwise room service was on point. The turndown service was spotty, and our aromatherapy diffuser was never turned on. Our bed had chocolate on it and nobody changed it for 3 days. The first night it stormed and we had a ton of water in our room. It took over an hour to get somebody to come and clean it up. We called hospitality at 7am and nobody picked up the phone repeatedly. There was a lot of water in our room and this was very frustrating! Overall, we really enjoyed our annual trip to Le Blanc! I just really hope they bring back the signature scent! Don't miss the lunch dessert orbs at the international restaurant.

Excellent!

This resort will put a smile on your face as soon as you arrive. From the bellboys to the reception, butlers, concierges, etc., everyone will make you feel welcomed. Leblanc has the best food and service with plenty of variety of food selections. We enjoyed every meal but had 3 dinners at the Mexican restaurant which offers casual dining. Chef Dulce does an amazing job! Delicious. The Italian was also very good, excellent service and very romantic. We did order room service one night and I must admit was pleasantly surprised by the food .The person taking my order was very professional and took his time to make sure he understood exactly what I ordered and even asked if I wanted a beverage with my meal since I didn't request one, plenty in your minibar. Within 20 minutes, it came exactly as ordered. Nice! The spa is a must! So professional, please note that your stay includes the hydrotherapy one hour before your treatment, but you are welcome to use the facilities at no additional charge even if you do not have a service scheduled. This place is for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay, with the beat service and excellent food and drinks. Do not hesitate to reserve the wonderful resort, it's number one for a reason. There are plenty detailed reviews so I will not repeat what others have said. This is also the turtle hatching season and Palace has program to save the turtles, right on the beach. They released turtles a few times a week and guest are welcomed to do so. Thank you Leblan for an unforgettable vacation!!! Gracias! Janai Valdez, you have an incredible group of employees!
