Perfect weather in Huatulco. We have enjoyed las Brisas because we love the natural beauty, the site overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the beaches where swimming is safe and comfortable, the coral reef, the tennis courts, and the pool. The staff is courteous, kind, and service reliable.

We love Las Brisas. The Mar section has been our favorite. The food is decent and the beach is great! We see many familiar faces each visit. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Shuttles are provided and are continuously running so there is little to no wait if you need one. We will be back

Review of Las Brisas, Huatulco, MX
Jan 06 2019
The hotel, a former Club Med is a sprawling odd architecture, set in a beautiful mountain/beach area. It was the Club Med style to be low key and functional. It's a bit dated but we all loved it. The hotel provides golf carts that guests can get within minutes by going to a station nearby and calling for them. The food was in the main very good. There were a couple of odd nights. We have stayed in many all inclusive and this was one of our very favorites. You cannot ask for more natural beauty. The hotel employees were spectacularly helpful and friendly and work their butts off for a lot of hours and little pay. While tipping is not encouraged by the hotel, we tipped at all meals and whenever receiving special service. The Christmas dinner was lovely, delicious and fun. The New Year's Eve event started off well but was so loud by the end of dinner that our entire table of 10 left. The Christmas dinner had a live band. There was intrusive loud electronic music on New Year's. That should really change. The hotel goes all out to make these nights special. Someone should oversee the quality of the music for special events. Overall our stay was wonderful and we look forward to returning.

Beautiful Hotel
Apr 17 2018
This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. We marked the entertainment as "good" because everything was in Spanish and we don't speak Spanish. We were limited on what entertainment we could see. The pool facilities were also marked as "good". They were beautiful pools, but the water was always so warm that they were not enjoyable. Other than that, this facility was "top of the line" in all areas.

2017 was our fourth visit. We love this place. The personnel, service and facilities are absolutely excellent. The breakfast and lunch buffets are excellnt. The food at the 5-6 restaurants available for dinner is a little disappointing. This year we had a bit of a problem getting access to equipment for snorkeling. Otherwise all of the activities were great as well.

Change from a couch potato
Feb 21 2017
I was recovering from a broken neck. I just got out of the cervical collar the middle of January. I didn't realize that this hotel was full of so many steps and that the hotel was on the hillside. You will be doing a lot of walking if you stay at this hotel there are a lot of steps that you will have to go up and down. There are shuttles if you choose to wide. I however found that this hotel was excellent to make me go from a couch potato back into shape. For me I could not have chosen a better place. The staff was excellent they try to meet your every need. The beaches were outstanding. The hotel and facilities are extremely clean. The Kasbar restaurant is outstanding the food was terrific and the belly dancer very entertaining. ting.

A very nice facility
Feb 27 2016
The hotel has a lot of personality compared to others on the bay. The staff tries very hard to please and most speak English. The Seafood restaurant is outstanding. Well worth going twice. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Room staff provided nice touches every day. Beach Club staff was excellent at night and in the morning. Will go back for sure.

The resort was beautiful, but many steps and the air conditioning was very poor, the resort is very spread out so it made it difficult to get around with out a ride from their transportation.

room air conditioner could not keep up. The airline ( Sun Country) gate agents deceived the passengers on the departure flight with the reason for the 3 1/2 hour delay. The pilot was truthful with why there was a delay. Our plane was given to a group headed to St Thomas.

Very Disappointing

I was supposed to stay for 14 days-had to leave in three. Moved to three different rooms, once at 11:00 pm! A/C in every room was awful. Along with that, no hot water, especially in the shower. Five minute wait for hot water in the bathroom and kitchenette basins. Ironic, because they stress water conservation—go figure! Other issues: light switch had to be fixed, coffee maker had to be replaced, very dim lighting in bedroom—asked for another lamp. They sent up a dim table lamp. If you’ve never been here, be prepared to call for a cart (golf cart kinda thing) to be taken anywhere on the premises—unless you like long hikes up and down hills for long distances. The first place had to be 3/4 to one mile from the lobby. Pictures, in this case, do not say a thousand words! Here’s the pluses: good restaurant, great (big) pool. Oh, one towel person, don’t ask for two! As indicated, very disappointing.

Fishing with Juan Morena

Another fantastic day on the ocean fishing with Juan Morena. I met Juan on the Beach at the Brisas a few years ago and continue to fish with him annualy on our trip to the Brisas. The last two times out we have caught a 20 kg Dorado (Mahi Mahi), a 25 kg Sail Fish and a 60 kg Stripper Marlin. We hooked a 140 kg Blue Marlin that I fought for two hours but did not get into the boat. We have caught numerous other fish in the past as well. I have no problem recomending Juan as his equipment is excellent, he speaks fluent english and he is a true fisherman through and though. Juan has also taken my family on exciting dolphin and whale watching expeditions. Pickup and return from fishing or other excursions is right at the beach on the grounds of the Brisas so we did not have to travel. The fish we caught was prepared in the kitchen at the Brisas and we ate it that night.

We traveled to Las Brisas Feb 5 to 19. 2019. We have been to Dreams & Secrets in in this area of Huatulco and this resort surpasses the other two because of the amazing snorkeling right off one of the 3 beaches. There is no need to book an excursion to snorkel!!! The hotel is a bit dated, but very clean and has excellent staff. A big thank you to Raul who was our awesome beach server for the two weeks! The food was just fine at the buffet or the a la carts. We didn't like everything we chose from the menu -- but we certainly didn't go hungry. As written in previous reviews, there are a lot of stairs - but the shuttles run continuously if you need them. We stayed in the Beach Club Section so had a balcony with ocean view -- very lovely. We will definitely return to this resort -- great snorkeling, consistent great weather and wonderful staff!

Wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings. Great ocean bay for swimming and snorkelling. The food was excellent at buffet and specialty restaurants. Our only complaint was the air conditioning didn’t work well. They did send someone to try and fix it but it wasn’t much better. The staff do bend over backwards to do all they can.

The staff were amazing., The food was average. The transportation to and from our room was awesome. All the stairs SUCKED!!!. The beach compared to all others in the area was vastly superior. If you stayed at the resort it was perfect. If you went on an excursion then you best expect every dog, cat and human wanting tip or hand out. It was a beautiful trip almost ruined by the excursions. My advice: stay at the resort and just enjoy your time there!!! But remember LOTS of STAIrS
