Beautiful Hotel
Apr 17 2018
This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. We marked the entertainment as "good" because everything was in Spanish and we don't speak Spanish. We were limited on what entertainment we could see. The pool facilities were also marked as "good". They were beautiful pools, but the water was always so warm that they were not enjoyable. Other than that, this facility was "top of the line" in all areas.

We love Las Brisas Huatulco

2017 was our fourth visit. We love this place. The personnel, service and facilities are absolutely excellent. The breakfast and lunch buffets are excellnt. The food at the 5-6 restaurants available for dinner is a little disappointing. This year we had a bit of a problem getting access to equipment for snorkeling. Otherwise all of the activities were great as well.

Change from a couch potato
Feb 21 2017
I was recovering from a broken neck. I just got out of the cervical collar the middle of January. I didn't realize that this hotel was full of so many steps and that the hotel was on the hillside. You will be doing a lot of walking if you stay at this hotel there are a lot of steps that you will have to go up and down. There are shuttles if you choose to wide. I however found that this hotel was excellent to make me go from a couch potato back into shape. For me I could not have chosen a better place. The staff was excellent they try to meet your every need. The beaches were outstanding. The hotel and facilities are extremely clean. The Kasbar restaurant is outstanding the food was terrific and the belly dancer very entertaining. ting.

A very nice facility
Feb 27 2016
The hotel has a lot of personality compared to others on the bay. The staff tries very hard to please and most speak English. The Seafood restaurant is outstanding. Well worth going twice. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Room staff provided nice touches every day. Beach Club staff was excellent at night and in the morning. Will go back for sure.

2014 Las Brisas Huatulco Mexico
May 03 2014
The resort was beautiful, but many steps and the air conditioning was very poor, the resort is very spread out so it made it difficult to get around with out a ride from their transportation.

room air conditioner could not keep up. The airline ( Sun Country) gate agents deceived the passengers on the departure flight with the reason for the 3 1/2 hour delay. The pilot was truthful with why there was a delay. Our plane was given to a group headed to St Thomas.

The person booking the excursions at the hotel was not knowledgeable, and did not charge us the correct amount when we booked our excursions, so we had to pay her more the next day. She could use better training on how to serve customers.

Las Brisas
Feb 25 2014
The only negative was the dinners at restaurants were only fair. Otherwise breakfast and lunch buffets were great, service was excellent. Las Brisas is on a hilly area dependent on cart transportaion between locations and the avaiability was excellent. Never waited more than 5 minutes. Amenities such as boating, snorkeling and poolside service was excellent.

I would recommend it to everyone

Great place to snorkel right off the beach (at high tide). Lots of fish in the coral reef. We walked twice into town although a taxi ride is quite inexpensive. Hotel is built on a steep hillside right on the ocean so there are a lot of stairs to climb, but free shuttles take you all over the resort. Housekeeping could have done a better job of sweeping up the sand in the room. We had a great view of the ocean. Do not take the X-pert Travel snorkel tour as they did not provide snorkel gear and we had a very short trip and we snorkeled in only one location. The rep at the hotel gave me a $20 US refund (out of his own pocket). I emailed X-Pert Travel who apologized but did nothing to make amends. Beautiful warm weather, great beach although the caution flags were usually up even when the sea wasn't that bad. Two of the a la carte restaurants were very good (Moroccan even had a belly dancer) , one of the restaurants ( far side by the beach) had rather slow service. Buffet food at main restaurant was very good, I also enjoyed the mescal (drink) which was offered (try to tip a dollar every now and then). Met many fellow travelers there who had been there before dozens of times (they like it).

This is a GREAT hotel. My husband and I have gone to Las Brisas Huatulco for 6 straight summers, and this year we took 3 family members as well. The hotel is on a gorgeous, very private bay. The rooms are beautiful, the gardens exotic, and the staff kind, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very family friendly--- even the nightly dancing has a very healthy, family-oriented environment. The beachfront is very secure, being used exclusively by hotel guests, with the services of the hotel staff. There are actually 3 beaches on the property so none is ever crowded! There is a very nice gym. Food was abundant and, in general, good (I have had a bit better at all-inclusive resorts, but the quality here is certainly reasonable for the price). The nightly entertainment in the auditorium was amazing! If you are looking for a beautiful, private, clean, secure, beachfront hotel with great staff and a family-friendly atmosphere in a nice little town, this is it!!!! We hope to be back next summer for visit number 7!

We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the most on the first 4, then Tue weekend travelers showed up and quality of services declined, mainly transportation and wi-fi. YES, this place is so big they have their own public transportation system, but when at capacity, trying to get the cars from other place than your room or the lobby is next to impossible. Beaches are amazing there is 4 of them, but can only use 3 main ones, so there is always space available, and shaded spots to relax, there are waiters bringing you cocktails, and very very few outside vendors. The beach by restaurant Mexicano is the best, calm, cristalyne, with a reef and swimable. We did not like the pool area because it's small in space for shaded areas, and the pool itself does not give you a break from the sun. There is an adult only section, but could not do because of our son. Food at the buffet is good, above average for breakfast and decent for lunch, it is more Mexican palate oriented, which I like, because if I wanted American food I would be home. Overall they could improve their seafood offering at lunch and dinner, being at the beach I want to experience more shrimp and fish and less beef, pork and chicken. Our room was big, with awesome views of the Pacific, we got a suite on Pueblo nubes, probably the highest elevation. Although it feels a bit dated is in good shape, and everything works as it should, except the window screens. The overall experience was great. We loved it and would like to come back, the private safari like transportation was a mesmerizing ride through the jungle, staff always friendly. I would highly recommend it, but if you can book your stay Sunday through Friday, and avoid the weekend crowd.

Always a good bang for the dollar

Beautiful clean, 3 great beaches, lots of walking, the food had lots of variety, excellent and choices for everyone. The weather is always wonderful and hot.beautiful. Great swimmable and safe beaches. Always greeted with a smile and good service. Will go back again in fall
