I have been going down to Loreto Baja with a group of guys for 27 plus years and when they opened the La Mision Hotel and Resort We switched to this hotel from our old hotel and have been staying there ever since they opened. The rooms are very spacious and super clean & clean comfortable Beds. The Staff there is amazing from the Hotel staff to the maintenance and restaurant staff. They are so helpful and caring. Great views of the Sea of Cortez. The restaurant and bars are fantastic and the bartenders make the best drinks in town. The restaurant is a 5 star restaurant and the food is great . the grounds are kept spotless. The pool is a saltwater pool and it is great to come in from a day of fishing and enjoy the pool and the walk-up bar which also makes whole made Pizzas .The La Mision Hotel is a rated 5 star hotel. My group that I take have voted from the 1st. time we stayed there to not change hotels and stay there. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Some of us have gone back during the year and taken our wife's and they just fell in love with this Hotel and staff and want to come back soon.

They keep getting better

I have been here multiple times and with exception of a very hot restaurant one time, this place is perfect. The restaurant is friendly and creative, the staff is amazing. Alan at the front is incredibly helpful, and Eric in the restaurant amazing. I will keep coming back!!!

So thankful to find this resort! La Mision is beautiful and clean. Cleanliness is the most important thing for me in a hotel. La Mision did not disappoint, the entire resort is immaculate. Our first night, my husband and I stayed in the presidential suite, we had been staying in some questionable hotels on our trip through Baja and wanted to splurge a bit. The room was grand and well appointed with amazing views of both the Sea of Cortez and the pool. The second night we moved to a standard room. It didn't feel like a step down. The rooms were so perfect it felt like we were the first to stay in them! The ocean views were incredible and the rooms were beautiful. Clean comfortable beds, clean spacious rooms, The service was amazing, staff was so helpful. The restaurant by the pool was great, we had pizza and drinks. We ate the breakfast buffet and it was great, has a good selection and very fresh. The attention to detail is amazing and there are beautiful touches throughout the resort. I love this resort and will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area. I highly recommend La Mision.

Traveling back to California

I’ve stayed here each time I travel through to La Paz. It’s a bit of a long drive from San Diego (720miles) but a great reward for the effort. My last review was in 2015 so it needs to be addressed once again. This time my co-pilot and I stayed here on our journey north. It’s only about 230 miles from our home in La Paz so if we’re traveling hard we usually go farther then El Rosario on the first day. Not this time. Easy ride, great room (I know how the A/C works) and fabulous restaurant. We took our time as our wives were flying back with the fish and there wasn’t any real hurry. Check in was easy and we received a second floor overlooking the pool room. The A/C said 80° when we entered. That was because A/C was off and it was telling you room temp. I lifted the cover and turned on the A/C. It was already set for 68° F. If you were not aware they have patio sliders set to turn off the A/C if you open them. Mexico version of you need to put your card key in to run the room electrics. (sorry for this long explanation but noticed several people having A/C probs on the reviews) After a quick unpacking we went to second floor bar balcony for a libation or two. Dinner that night was in their restaurant, Los Olivos. This is always a good choice. Very reasonable for such a nice setting and meal. Checking out in AM was early as had a lot of miles to go that day. I checked my tab and noticed at $75P addition for boutique. Since neither of us bought anything from the store it was immediately removed. Always check your billing wherever you’re at upon check out (two days later SD Marriott charged 2 days parking for one) This is certainly the go to place if your travel miles put you here.

They have all you can eat Pizza Night on Thursday. It’s so good. The chef sent us complimentary scallops and a complimentary sampler pizza to try. They bring fresh baked pizzas to your table until you are full. It’s also a very beautiful place with views of the Sea.
