Best hotel in Loreto by far.

Wonderful stay and even better staff. Clean welcoming property on the Malecon. We highly recommend it and its two restaurants. Alan, Rudi, Alain, Erick and Jesus made us feel very welcome. Pool area is a great place to relax as are other common areas.

Very Nice Hotel

We spent three nights at La Mision, book-ended around our sea kayak adventure through the nearby islands. This is a first-rate hotel - large, spacious, comfortable and quiet rooms; very nice pool, hot tub and deck area; friendly and helpful front desk staff; perfect location right on the waterfront; etc. Those front-desk people became particularly important to us when we had a major travel complication on our way home. (See my separate review of Calafia Airline. Then avoid Calafia at all costs.) The hotel personnel went out of their way to help us navigate the situation; rebook connecting flights; get back on WiFi even though we had checked out; etc. My only critique of the place is that the restaurant service is somewhat slow and indifferent. And the restaurant provides no breakfast options other than a large and heavy buffet. Nothing for lighter-eaters. (For a better breakfast option, go to the La Palmita food truck at the marina a block or two north of the hotel. Fabulous food; good coffee; and more.) But those are minor points and do no detract from a high-quality hotel. Definitely recommended.

Among the top of the cleanest, nicest and most comfortable hotels I have staying in in Baja. Los Olivos restaurant is amazing. Beds are super comfortable. Staff is great, and everyone we encountered spoke great English (if that matters).

We just had a wonderful stay at La Mision and highly recommend. From the moment you step through the front doors you feel the old Mexican charm. Our room was upgraded before we arrived which was very kind of the management. We had a luxury ocean (sea) view which was spacious and warm. The bed was large and comfortable. The mornings in the porch in the sun overlooking the sea and pool weee magical. We are at Los Olivios one evening and glad we did. There is a great bar next to the restaurant and a porch on the second floor next to it which was just too windy and cool for this vacation, but next time for sure. The staff were so professional and gracious. We will certainly return.

NOT A HAPPY NEW YEAR! Check in concierge people untrustworthy

We checked in on the 29th. We booked because of the reviews. Although the hotel is nice and the owner is likely a very nice person as we was told by restaurant staff, the three people working in the front desk have a lot to be desired. We tried to book for the New Years party. We were told Unidos toy if had been sold out for a while. However other in the hotel kept telling us we should go to the party. I believe the front desk people maybe didn’t want us to go for some reason or other. We were told by the front desk we were the first people on the waiting list. We do not believe there was ever a waiting list. Anyway my family was left out and we now need to fend for ourselves in the cole outside because the restaurant is closed in the hotel. We couldn’t get enough information on what there is to do here. We had to go out on our own to find out. When we asked one guy to help us find a boat tour we had found out the guy in the front desk was making 1000 pesos on the side. Fortunately for us we speak Spanish and were able to find a guy at 1000 pesos less. The rooms are nice and the view is amazing. I am only taking two stars away in my review only to give them the opportunity to find or train better front desk staff who know how to treat their guests. I will day everyone else working in the hotel were quite pleasant. I truly hope the owner will appreciate my review because this is a nice place and location. But I can’t return here again with my family if we cannot rely on staff allowing us to participate in hotel activities. Especially in New Years with the main restaurant closed with no option for dinner when everything else outside is mostly closed too.
