while we didn't have an issue with the hotel or staff itself we were extremely mislead by apple we were told on 2 separate occasions when we questioned it that the European plan covered the buffet as well as all drinks this was not the case and therefore cost us a lot of extra money that we weren't planning on spending had we known ahead of time we would of went elsewhere where it would of been covered due to this we were unable to do all the things we were looking forward to our travel agent did try to compensate us but it by no means covered all of the additional cost to us in the future I don't know if we will ever use apple vacations again

Apple was such a disappointment. I will never book through Apple again. The Apple rating is a joke. We weren't given any information about transportation or check in/out. 2 days into our trip our representative called and I let him know all of our concerns and nothing was done & I never heard from him again. Absolutely ridiculous to think that Apple rating has some kind of standard that made me feel comfortable in the first place. This whole experience has been a joke.

WORST STAY
Monique R,

I booked this room for my birthday vacation. On Day 1 the light did not turn on. I left to lunch and came back to a puddle of water on the floor, apparently the A/C was dripping down the wall, and this got into my luggage. I called to complain and someone was sent over. Day 2, I woke in the morning to shower and there was no hot water. The toilet was not flushing. I called to report and someone was sent over to "turn on the boiler" ( Room 441).The next morning I got up to shower and again COLD WATER. My sister had a later flight and arrived on Day 2 while I was out at the beach, she slipped and fell because AC started to leak again and formed another puddle of water by the bed. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. I was told by Maria that a manager would call the room shortly. I waited 2 hours and nobody called. Day 3, I walked over to front desk and spoke to Manager Monserrat who's response was "Nobody has told me anything". I explained to her that it was an internal issue with her staff- not mine. She only offer explanations about the mechanics of the room and NO SOLUTION. I was offered a late check out. Worst customer service I have ever received. I was then told that after we checked out the entire Unit was going to be closed down. Entire stay was a JOKE. I would never recommend this hotel. I was never apologized to and I felt as if they were laughing at the whole thing.

I thought that being owned by Hilton meant something but I was wrong! The English tv channels have no volume and the maintenance guy said “is the signal” so here we are watching the football game without volume while we wait for someone else to fix the fridge which also doesn’t work. In the mean time will wait for room service to bring an ice bucket so that we can put the ice, that the bellman brought in a plastic bag. Come one I seen ice buckets even at motel 6!!!! The hotel needs an remodel ASAP!!!! Looks old, smells old! What a mistake!!!

We are on day 3 and I can honestly say was scared stiff after the reviews. The place is awesome. It was affordable. Comfy beds. Food is good. But the staff is absolutely unreal. Never have i experienced customer service like this. We have stayed at 5 stars and never had this good of service. Best lime margarita I've ever had. Asked for guacamole and no problem, fresh guacamole delivered to my table. I truly am very happy with the resort. Please don't let the bad reviews deter you. It's a 3.5 star and was very affordable. Can't wait to come back. Probably the best beach on the strip.

Worst Hotel Ever !!! Sunwing please stop promoting

Beware of this hotel we lasted for only 24 hrs and then needed to pay more money to get ourselves checked into another hotel. We booked an all inclusive vacay pkg based on the fact that we have stayed in Krystal properties in Nuevo, Los Cabos & Cancun and have had amazing stays. In my many, many years of travel this is the first time that I've ever checked out of any hotel and booked into another during a vacation stay. We booked an ocean view room which we got however the building is in dire need of repair and thus the entire room would shake at night when the tide was coming in which leads me to believe they have some very serious structural issues going on. The electrical connections in our room were unsafe if you plugged in any electrical device all the lights in the room went out, the electrical socket in the bathroom gave you a nice jolt when you plugged in the blow dryer and it was actually so hot to the touch that the outlet cover plate was starting to melt. The a/c was so mildewed we could not have It turned on as the smell of mould was so prominent. The room safe was sitting on a counter top not mounted to anything so really what is the point! The beds are extremely hard which i understand but the pillows are so mildewed that I did not use them. The pool and beach areas are extremely unkept they do not have any wait staff servicing the areas and by the end of the day it looked like a hurricane went through. Garbage strewn everywhere, dirty plates and food left out to spoil. This imposes yet another health issue as the birds have a heyday and leave their excrement everywhere. Now for the hotel food the buffet at best is passable, the pool snacks were left out all day in the sun under no cover therefore I refused to even touch anything. We made a reservation at the Japanese / sushi restaurant and 2 bites into my dinner we left and went to the nearest Pizza Hut. The sushi was served warm which again leads me to believe that it was made well in advance and left out at room temp. Believe you me I eat sushi on a regular basis and have never ever experienced worst tasting food. Our concerns about the room which we addressed immediately upon arrival went unattended, our concerns about the food / health & safety issues weren't addressed therefor it left us no choice but to speak with our sunwing rep. This was the last stray we met with our Sunwing representative and demanded we get moved to another hotel. We moved at quite a cost to us which I'm not happy with. The local sunwing rep was the most understanding and obliging person we dealt with throughout his entire ordeal. He even said that the hotel manager did not seem overly concerned with my situation and other than allowing us to move to another room in a different building as if this would help resolve everything. Why would I move to a garden room when I had purposely booked and paid for a "supposed" upgraded ocean view. Sunwing you need to look at the horrid reviews this hotel is receiving and I suggest you remove it from your listings, until such time their hotel improves. I was forced to give it a 1 out of 5 otherwise you cannot leave a review but realistically it is a -5. Shame on you Krystal Vallarta you are giving the other Properties in your hotel chain a bad name !!! I will never be back.... 👎🤢👎
