If you want quiet relaxation this isn’t the place for you

I will start off by saying the staff was EXTREMELY friendly - Alfredo, Alex, pretty much all our bartenders was wonderful people and very helpful when we had questions about the surrounding area, taxis and pretty much anything else. On the backside, the buffet wasn’t the best and if you take day trip excursions like we did you’ll miss the time to sign up for dinner reservations, we ended up eating out more than we did eating at the resort. The WORST part of this vacation was the amount of children! Don’t get us wrong we have no problems with kids on vacation but there were literal BUS LOADS of kids getting in each day for soccer tournaments that ran up and down the hallways at night ringing doorbells for fun and running away. They would push all the elevator buttons and ride up and down all day visiting friends. We were on the 8th floor and voluntarily walked up and Down to avoid waiting for an open elevator. For one whole team there seemed to be only a few coaches so the kids ran wild throughout the entire resort- zero adult supervision. In the pool bar where adults would set down their drinks the kids would swim over grab the drinks and finish them! We found human feces in the ‘adult’ pool and when we notified them they came over scooped it out and continued their day... no removing everyone to shock it and properly sanitize. Once again the staff was extemtely courteous and genuine - I can’t rave enough about them. I’d come back to have a few drinks with them but not to the property itself.

Still a very long way to go

Spaces and pool close to the lobby, as well as the rooms are quite nice, actually. But some areas like the infinity pool and the bar over there lack lots of maintenance Service at the lobby, general manager (a guy named Lennon) of the reception, bell boys are awfully terrible. I got there with an all inclusive plan that said room service was included, but at arrival they said that although the food is free, the service has a cost (5 US dlls per event)!! completely ilogic, so you say a service is included but you have to pay for the service. They say the pool is open until 10 p.m., but if you want to return your wet towels, you won't find a person to do so after 7 p.m. If you want to swim early morning, sorry, they are cleaning it at 8 a.m. If you are planning to use the gym, bring your own towels, because there aren't any there Fortunately food is mostly good and most of the waiters are quite kind and nice persons, like Juanito (a the buffet), Mr. Carlos, Gemma and Miguel Angel (from Ayami or Rissotto) do a pretty good job at making you feel what a good service is. They deserve best than being at this awful resort. By the way, if you are expecting to have 4 restaurants per night to have dinner, it is another dissapointment, they just have 2 every night, and you must go to the lobby to make reservations, and you better do it early cause they run out of spaces. If you ask, I would'nt come back, and I wouldn't recommend the place. It doesn't worth the price, and sadly my first impression was that we were not welcome, reception people is awful, we arrived in our car, and nobody approached to received us or ask us our business there, our luggage was misplaced, and during registration they throw at us many threats about loosing the towel cards (25 US dlls), about your room access cards (100 US dlls) and your wrist bands (which are very, very unconfortable, 100 US dlls too)

SHAME ON KRYSTAL GRAND - UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES

I stayed at Krystal Grand for 4 nights. I knew that if my wristband (non-inclusive) was lost or damaged I would have to pay 100 USD. The morning we left, we cut off our bands and threw them away. Another part of our party departed that morning still wearing hers. When I checked out they said we needed to return our wristbands otherwise the EMPLOYEE who was checking us out with would have to pay 100 USD out of her own pocket! Yes, thats right. The employee would have to pay (possibly days of her salary) because we didn't return our stupid wristbands. They didn't tell us that we would be required to return our wristbands upon checkout so we didn't think to keep them on since we were leaving. The women checking us out did not check us in. She was checking us randomly. WHY WOULD THE HOTEL POLICY REQUIRE HER TO PAY FOR THIS? Completely unethical. After fishing through the trash (causing us to nearly miss our flights) we returned 2 of the 3 wristbands and her manager said that she would give her a pass this time. I will NEVER stay here until they change their unfair and unethical practices. SHAME ON KRYSTAL GRAND.

Not 100% there yet

Beautiful resort with lovely rooms and great views. But some issues for sure, albeit not huge but they added up. Coffee in the room on day one but after that I was told I had to buy the coffee pods (???). And the coffee shop was not included. So I could drink alcohol all day long but not enjoy a coffee free of charge? The restaurants were not all open and you had to line up before 7am to get a spot in one of the two ala cartes. One day my husband was there at 7:20 and we did not get a dinner spot so had to go to the buffet (which was so so). No entertainment at all, not even the cursory karaoke or fun by the pool. That looked to be shifting on our last day when they had some activities poolside starting.

Beautiful, Great Customer Service, and Great Experience!

My family and I stayed at the hotel for 4 days and for me it was a great experience the hotel we stayed at was clean, cleaners made sure we always have water, the air conditioner was broken - but they fixed it right away! we also enjoyed the food, and especially the people who worked there was so polite and friendly! Huge thanks to Lionel -who’s at the front desk for helping us cancel our timeshare at the Mayan Place (The Bliss Hotel) for it is apparently a huge scam. Overall, we had a great time- we wish the pools were closed around 12 am haha
