Breathtaking sunsets await you at Ka'anapali Beach Club on Maui's famous North Shore. Enjoy the comfort and service of a hotel with beautiful accommodations featuring spacious interiors, in-room refrigerators, and oversized tubs and separate showers in the bath.

The Ka'anapali Beach Club is alive with lush tropical gardens and interlocking waterways and waterfalls. The most spectacular and prominent water feature is the one-acre pool and 60 foot water slide with its own splash pool, creating the perfect environment for a family vacation. Relax poolside at the acre wide lagoon style pool and enjoy outdoor cafés set amid tropical garden atriums and relaxing waterfalls.

Enjoy Maui's activities including golf, surf lessons, sailing, or biking down a dormant volcano, to taking a traditional Hawaiian Luau. The Ka'anapali Beach Club is uniquely designed around three towers that introduce a new and exciting vacation concept to the Hawaiian Islands. The spaciousness of condominiums combined with the amenities and services of a first-class resort.

A multi-hued patchwork of scenery collides with the calming waters of the Pacific Ocean and beckons visitors to islands almost wholly volcanic in origin. Great stretches of lava beds stream from the dramatic fireworks of restless Kilauea and Mauna Loa, and glistening beaches reflect glorious rainbows and spectacular Hawaiian sunsets against a backdrop of rainforests. Adventure-seekers, enticed by tropical breezes and a sense of paradise, will surf, snorkel, and sail in the warm, reef-protected waters surrounding the Hawaiian Islands.

We've been owners at KBC since 2004. This time we planned for years to bring our entire family. We were privileged to have the best room in the Resort using our points. This two bedroom with the Serta sofa bed (designed for Diamond Resorts) larger lanai and extra shower, etc. was absolutely perfect. The recent improvements including the ocean-view health center, adult spa, updated hall carpeting, continuing to respect recycling effort and listening to what visitors' suggest for constructive ideas. We understand the time it takes to have the best adaptive engineering the Resort has to rebuild the beach access missed by visitors as soon as it is possible. The staff at the O'Hana Bar and the food choices are outstanding, and these attributes have and will bring us back year after year.

Rooms are very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is very good. On the other side, there is no beach access due to a shoreline erosion remediation project. The happy hour is adaquete. The hotel doesn’t offer any more than bar food. Breakfast comes in a take out box served out of a window where you pick it up.

Kaanapali is a beautiful vacation destination. We are owners at KBC. They recently added a huge hot tub near the huge heated pool. At times the hot tub, in January, has more people than the pool. They are working on the beach erosion project with many resorts in the area. The restaurant on site serves a good meal and happy hours. Overall a great place for family vacations with large family style suites. Two flat screens in every room with a mini-kitchen. We come back nearly every year since we bought into this location. Great ocean views, restaurants close by, grocery, free laundry and all the needs of home. Enjoy

Dated, but nice, clean and spacious

Visited Maui in September for the first time and we selected this hotel because it is air conditioned and in a good location. Parking is in an underground lot, with easy access to elevators. The grounds and the large swimming pool are beautiful and right on the ocean. There is a bar and snack area just off the pool, making snacks and light meals convenient. We had a one bedroom room with a fabulous ocean view. There is access to the balcony from the bedroom and from the living area. The room had 2 full sized beds and the living area included a sleeper sofa. The kitchen had a full sized fridge and microwave and dishwasher, but did not include a cooktop or stove. We requested a hot plate and easily made eggs and stir fry. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and dishes and enough coffee for a couple of days. We chose a room with a kitchen so we could have meals when we wanted, so our first stop after landing was Costco. This worked out very well and we saved a bit of money by only eating out a few times during our 6 day stay. The room had a musty smell when we arrived, but it cleared out as we left the sliding doors open and the ocean breeze blew through. The bathroom was HUGE! One vanity and a second sink, a shower, separate tub and shower. The toilet area was separate, but oddly one side of the shower door was frosted glass and made up one wall of the toilet area. Anyone "doing their business" on the toilet has full view of the whoever is in the shower. There is a large closet, full sized dresser in both the bedroom and living area. We used the washer and dryer during our stay, which are located along corridors on each floor...NOT in each unit. Overall, it was a great stay with access to a beach and very near the walkway that takes you right along all the resort hotels and beautiful views all the way. I'm intrigued by some of the other more luxurious hotels further south along the coast, but if you want a reasonably priced and fully equipped room, this would be a good choice. One tip...during our stay, the hotel offered a Wednesday night Luau. We were leaving on Tuesday and didn't get to attend this one, but our room was on the south wide of the hotel and we would have had a PERFECT view of the Luau right from our balcony. The service was hit or miss and I didn't find it friendly...just so so. We were not bugged by sales calls as other reviewers have noted, but we did get 3-4 calls from the front desk to ask if we'd gotten settled in.

Beautiful property rooms need updating

At first glance this is a beautiful property. The lobby and grounds are maintained very well. Beachfront is small and in the process of being renovated due to beach erosion so we were unable to have beach front access the 8 days we stayed. The room we were given on the 11th floor was spacious and had tremendous views. The room itself was dated and smelled. I even bought room deodorizer and sprayed every day but once the sliding doors to the room were closed there was a strong moldy odor. There was a small kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave but no stove. They did supply a toaster and coffee maker. The bathroom was spacious but had terrible lighting and smelled moldy also. All in all I'd give the grounds, lobby, and pool area 4 stars and the room 3 stars. Also, there are no washers and driers in the room. There were supposed to be washers and dryer's on each floor. On floor 11 there were only dryers for the time that we were there. Each floor only has one washer and two dryers normally. I had to go up and down the stairs several times to find a washer that was free. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly especially the valet up front. They did try and push a timeshare presentation at the beginning of our stay but I told them that we were not interested and they did not bother me after that. They do need to do something about their elevators because half the time we were there a lot of the elevators were down.
