Great for a getaway with friends!

I recently visited Jewel Paradise Cove with my husband and close couple friend. We booked after reading many reviews, figuring so many good reviews couldn't be wrong. And they weren't: JPC was great! The location was fantastic. It isn't too far a ride from the airport and back, but didn't have airplanes in the sky or noisy boats in the water except the boats from the resort and few small fishing boats. The beach was very nice; there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas; the sand was soft and clean; the ocean was sandy on the bottom. The floats in the water were very relaxing and the drink service on the beach was great! We did the glass bottom boat tour with Carlos and he was a great captain and guide, pointing out different types of fish and sea life and other cool things along the way. The entertainment team was good. There were always plenty of activities if you wanted to join in, but no one bugged you or begged if you didn't want to join. Oran for pool aerobics was great! The vendors onsite were respectful and not pushy trying to get customers. The food was ok. It was nothing really spectacular, but decent enough. The Aquamarine Grill was our least favorite location and would much rather have eaten at the buffet instead. The variety on the buffet was great. My favorite was the salad bar and panini press during lunch. We had a garden view room which was very clean and updated. There were no 80s coral colored fish print comforters here. We had a walk in shower with a glass door, clean and updated. The rooms didn't get great wifi, but you could find good connection for things like facetiming close to the pools and in the lobby. Bus service was also great. We waited at the airport for about 10 minutes before taking off. The ride there took just under two hours. Our ride back was scheduled for 7:50am and the bus arrive right on time and left just a moment later after loading all passengers. Even with a stop at one more resort we arrived back at the airport 1 hour and 20 minutes later. The buses both had wifi, always a plus! Overall I would absolutely recommend this resort! It was more of a party resort than the Couples we stayed at before, but for a fun trip with friends this was great! 10/10.

Amazing stay! I was sad to leave.

I can't believe anyone would give this less than 5 stars. They have an amazing staff. EVERYONE was so kind and welcoming. There were a couple of rock stars that stood out: Dewayne, on the beach who does the water sports. He made the catamaran ride worth it. He was kind and knowledgeable about the water and the island. My husband and I took another ride just because we loved talking to him. We talked about raising children and he said, "my grandmother would always say, children are like trees....you have to bend them when they are young because if you wait until they're big, it won't work and they'll snap and break". Then there was Omario who was the sweetest, most entertaining kid. I couldn't believe his old soul was only 18 He's mature and takes so much pride in providing exceptional service. And who could forget George's smiling face throughout the day. The food was amazing. The property is well maintained. The beach was a great size and never crowded. None of that having to save a seat by the pool all day with a towel. We met so many great couples because everyone just wants to be happy there. That place fosters good spirits. W loved all the activities and they offer great excursions. We'll be back soon!

Nothing special.

Jamaica is a beautiful island with beautiful beaches. But this resort doesn't have a real beach. They have one small "beach" front with a smaller "beach" anclove. I say "beach" because you can tell it was man made. In the water there were alot of rocks and rock covered in algae. With the pools, all the pools seem dirty. Water was always dingy and had bugs and what not floating. The room was mediocre. Room could use fresh paint. Towels and sheets had some stains on it. I opted for the pool view rooms, and the room i was in didn't have liquor in the mini fridge. I called and asked and was told i was in the wrong room. I was thinking this was an all inclusive resort, all other resorts i been to had it. But i was told only rooms with concierge service was allowed alcohol in the room. Makes no sense. Room service was $5 service fee per order. There's not much to choose from neither. Salad soup or hamburger or pizza. The food at the resort was edible. But there was nothing spectacular about it. Nothing to write about. The only plus were the hotel staff, they were always eager to help and serve. I definately won't be back to this resort though, wasnt the piece of "paradise" i was hoping it would be. Ill op to spend a little more for a better resort.

Wonderful hotel that is both clean and recently updated. Food is delicious and public spaces are well maintained. Hard to believe that this level of quality is so affordable. Best of all is that stays qualify for Hilton Honors.

This was my first all-inclusive. I have traveled quite a bit and at first was taken back at the age of the property. It is NOT new nor is it fancy or modernized. However, the staff was amazingly friendly, helpful, and kind. It was very relaxing and the get-away we needed. The food was good. I'm a foodie, nothing to rave about but good, nice variety, and choice. The room was VERY clean! Grounds immaculate. Plenty to do, entertainment fun and not too corny. The fitness center is small and dated but enough to get a workout in. Fitness instructor is a great guy! Beach is enough to lay-out on and dip in. However, there is no beach to take a walk on nor can you swim. Be wary of JTL for trips outside the hotel. Stick to just the falls.
