Fairly disappointed

Had a 7 day stay, not once was I able to find a chair to relax on on the beach, not once. Everything is already reserved by towels that belong to people that aren’t around for hours. I could not take 3 steps in any direction without someone coming up to me trying to haggle me into buying something. One night after going for a walk thruought the resort I got mixed up in directions, asked for assistance and got laughed at by a group of employees when all I needed was a simple point in “that direction.” I will not be returning nor will I be reccomending.

Rooms and Japanese restaurant

The rooms were clean and spacious our only complaint was very hard pillows so bring your own if you prefer soft flat pillows they do not provide another choice. All the food was good to wonderful except the Japanese restaurant was less than desirable and felt a little ill after. The food was overcooked.

The restaurants are "full" even upon check-in. When walking by there are only a few tables-never "full". I was unaware I needed to get reservations before getting to the resort. I wish I would have had better orientation to the facilities. Overall, the hotel staff made great efforts to give us a great time...and we did.

Good Fun Trip for a week

I liked the hotel in general. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The day entertainment programs were good. The biggest letdowns, based on our stay in other resorts, was the quality of food and the nightly entertainment programs. They can definitely do a lot to improve on these 2 counts.

Great vacation

This is great resort. The staff was fun and very friendly. The food was about like you would expect at an all inclusive. It was good but not great. Although there was a very wide selection of foods in the buffets. The rooms and the resort was very clean and appeared to be pretty well maintained but there were some areas the looked old and worn. With that said, they were doing repairs and updates when we were there. The beach was huge and clean. The pools were nice but they were much deeper than I have ever seen at a resort. The pools had an area where you walk in but quickly went from pretty shallow to nearly 6 ft deep. The the majority of the pool is an average of 5 ft deep. Overall was a great vacation and would definitely go back.

Gorgeous Grounds, Rooms getting tired looking

Do not accept rooms ending in 87 thru 96. They face the inner courtyard, which is a nice view, but there is absolutely no air movement. Couldn't sit outside in the evening at all. Also, thou rooms are No Smoking, my room smelled like cigarettes. There were butts left in the plant (3rd floor) and never picked up by housecleaning. They must run out of King Sheets, so put queen size on. You feet, if your are over 5'8", are laying on the actual mattress. We ripped the sheets off the bed, and she did put on the correct size on the next day. Though you will not go hungry, my family thought the buffet, especially at breakfast, was so so. The beach and grounds were kept beautiful. My favorite was the House Band that played nightly at the Star Band area. This is between the Punta Cana building and the buffet. They were awesome. Nightly, a nice size crowd would come and we danced to Latin music. They only play till 10:45 pm, so don't miss it.

The food verity and quality was very poor. I ended up getting very sick on our 2nd day from food poisoning. It lasted 2 days and never felt right for the rest of the trip. Our entire group of 8 were disappointed with the food.

Really had a good time. We had stayed there before. Had an ocean view. Alittle deceiving. If u sat down on the balcony it was a ocean view. If u stood up, you had a top of a restaurant and trash container view. But all in all a beautiful resort

Hi, Apple Vacation team, I complained three times about my room air condition. Was so noisy, that was NOT possible to sleep, hotel management did nothing (one time I spoke front desk, two times I spoke to hotel manager name Johnly with no result. Late last our stay in this hotel night front desk called as to offer another room. We refused to take it, because it was too late for us.Room maid service was terrible too.Three days was good, but after next day only haf (no beds), next day nothing at all??!!! Had to complain room service manager too. Definitely, I would NOT recommend this hotel to my friends and will post my review on trip adviser and hotels Website. It was not first trip to Punta Cana and my wife and me totally dissatisfied of our vacations. Sincerely, Arturas Dudonis.

We visited the Iberostar last year....loved it. We have stayed at Iberostar properties in other countries, too, and as always they never fail to please. All staff was friendly and accommodating....rooms clean and spacious... and all restaurants were very good. My husband is very picky and he could always find lots that he loved. Large beach area which was nice... never felt like a crowd was on top of you. The only thing I could complain about was that when we went to jump into one of the large pools to cool off, it was like warm bath water, which is to be expected I guess in such a hot climate. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely pick this property again. Enjoy!

Amazing beach and gardens

We stayed at the Iberostar punta Cana late April booked through Tui. The hotel gardens, reception areas, bars, pool are all immaculately kept and clearly the staff work hard to keep the, maintained. The beach is amazing and we enjoyed afternoons shopping between the beach and the pool. The room was lovely and comfortable, included extras like a coffee machine, stocked fridge and toiletries. The air con and black out blinds meant I had the best night sleep in a hotel ever. On an evening, There are two main buffet restaurants to eat which you don’t need a reservation for, and then a few “speciality” restaurants. For the buffet restaurants, the food is really good, they have excellent choice and there is something different every night. One night there was local Dominican cuisine which I loved. The other “speciality” restaurants require you to book via the reception desk a day before. We tried the French, seafood and Mexican. I was very disappointed with the French restaurant, the only thing French was the baguette bread! The Mexican however is good. The most frustrating thing however is these restaurants are empty! If you turn up without a reservation, you are turned away despite only 4 people in the entire place. The whole reservation requirement is not well explained and makes no sense. It seems such a waste to have these empty. The drinks at the hotel are of quite good quality, particularly the bar near the reception area makes very good cocktails. The staff are lovely and friendly. There is a good mix of guests at this hotel, obviously a lot of US visitors. Our cultural differences in regards to tipping is quite obvious and can be reflected in the experience received. One negative for me of the hotel was the entertainment. It was not too my taste, quite tacky and out of date. Luckily however, the cocktail menu and good company meant we still enjoyed the night. We had booked one tour through the hotel and one though tui. Staff will obviously encourage you to book through the hotel but it won’t necessarily be what you want or looking for. We booked the secrets of lots haities/samana, this is one of their pricer tours but is a full day and absolutely worth it-fantastic day! We also booked the marination snorkelling, again another great trip. Overall, I did like this hotel and we had a lovely holiday. I’m not sure I would rush to go back but I wouldn’t say no either.

Can't wait to go back

I have been at this resort 5 times. Last year, decided to try another resort (Occidental Punta Cana) and was very disappointed. I will pay the little extra and return to the Iberostar Punta Cana . Food variety and friendliness of staff make all the difference.

This was our first experience with an all inclusive resort. The week was just what we needed, lots of rest, the food was great and the staff was amazing. It was a great week. June seems to be a time for maintenance so there was a lot of rebuilding happening but it has to be done sometime. It really was an amazing vacation

We have stayed twice at this resort and loved being there both times! Our last trip there was during the week of Valentine's Day! This resort is a large complex of Iberostar resorts. On our first visit we stayed in the Iberostar suites. Very comfortable! On our second visit we stayed in a regular room. We loved the entertainment venues. We even met some of the entertainment staff who were so friendly! The restaurants were good as was the buffet. Great vacation!
