To big!

The resort is way to big! It takes 10+ min to get anywhere walking, they have a shuttle but you have to wait for it. Food was not great either.

Pros: Friendly staff; beautiful room & grounds, spacious swimming pools Cons: The food was not very good and there are some minor maintenance problems in the rooms. We had to have our safe repaired twice. There were problems a 3rd time but we changed the combination to numbers that still worked on the safe. The toilet need maintenance, the hall light went out and was not fixed, and the refridgerator was warm.

Everything exceded our expectations except for the temperature of the food. Pool, Beach, Bars, Room, and the facilities themselves were great. The Japanese food was wonderful. All the hot food items on the buffets were at best luke warm. Our dining experience would have been way more enjoyable if the hot foods were even warm,

This was our first ever out of country or all inclusive trip. So I have nothing to compare to keep in mind... my husband and I were here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. And we LOVED it. It's already decided we will come back and bring the kids next time. The maid service was excellent, food was super good at the buffets and the 4 alacart restaurants we ate at. With our favorite being Japanese and least favorite the steak house. In all fairness the steak was cooked to perfection just lacked flavor/seasoning for us. The entrainment was fun to watch and participate in. The beach was superb. And drinks were plentiful at all the bars and the beach. These people work their butts off to make sure you have a good time and we liked to tip them to let them know it's appreciated. Overall Epic vacation. We will be back.

No as luxury as other resorts but good. Hotel over all needs update, furniture in the room getting old and signs of damage. Shower ok, toilet good but the mirror and lights need update. Safe in the room needed batteries when we got there. The TV in the bedroom was not working. I called and they did replace quickly. Attention to details is very important. The main pool has a bar, good. The other pools no service or very little service, you have to look for someone to help. Finally, you cant leave your things by the pool. The resort has a policy to have security pick you unattended items. I found this very strange, we had items taken and had to see security to retrieve them. States that unattended items are picked up. Strange because there were plenty of pool chairs.

Beach and pool filled up quickly and there was no space after a certain hour of the day. Pool was almost 100 degrees and provided no relief from the heat. Room was extremely dated and the bed was incredibly soft and uncomfortable. Most everything else was good or great.

renew wedding vows for 25th anniversary

We would like to thank Mireya, Iberostar and your staff for making the renewal of our wedding vows a special day. Working long distance isn’t easy and you made sure that we had no worries and that all went smoothly. The ceremony, the minister and the weather was perfect for our renewal. The photographer, Constance did a great job with the photos and all our friends are impressed with the book we received with our picture choices. Our friends and family were impressed with the hotel and that all went as planned. We have traveled to this property about 6 times and have never had a bad experience. We love the Iberostar chain for their great food, entertainment and the politeness of all the staff. We love our pool bar bartenders, Filiberto,, Javier and Federico. The hotel is a great mixture of entertainment and relaxation.

Fantastic holiday

Three massive pools altogether. Signs everywhere to tell you that beds cannot be reserved! Hurray! Made our holiday extra laid back! Activities are good. My children are 12 and 17 and loved playing water basketball every day. Beach is fantastic. Food is fantastic. Book for a la cartes via your concierge for your building.

Wonderful 16 days in paradise! Can't wait to go back for our 8th time!!!

We just came back from 16 perfect days at the Lindo. The weather, food and entertainment were terrific! The weather was perfect. Rained one afternoon after 5:00. When we arrived in our van, Evelio, the bell captain, greeted us with open arms and a big smile, making us feel welcome. He always goes out of his way to give us rides whenever we needed one. At Recepcion, Jonatan is our contact. He makes sure our vacation runs smoothly. He is outstanding in his job. Our Concierge, Christian in Building 51, was knowledgeable and extremely helpful every day. He made all of our reservations and gave us excellent advice. We were fortunate to have Celia as our chambermaid. She is terrific! She has been our maid for the last 4 years and hopefully when we go back, she will be with us again. The food was superb. The Sous Chef, Mario and his staff, served exceptional food. If you didn't see it at the buffet, you just had to ask, and it appeared. Our waiters at breakfast, Angel Perez and Gualbert, has served us for the last several years. They are fast, friendly and extremely helpful. They start our day with laughs. We went to the French restaurant, El Musseo, 6 times during our stay. The lamb chops they serve are the best we've ever had anywhere. Our exceptional waiters were Maximo and Angel Perez. We made sure we exercised each day, after all the food. We went to the fitness center and were greeted by the dedicated fitness instructors, Luis, Uziel and Erick. Luis is an outstanding Zumba instructor and heads the center. Luis and Uziel do aqua aerobics at the pool late mornings which we attended. They make exercising fun. Gilmer and his team are the entertainment crew. Gilmer is the manager, along with Xavier. Their team, including Mayren, made our vacation fun and exciting. We have known Gilmer for 6 years, and he makes sure our vacation is outstanding each day. We feel these are our "vacation family". There are many others, including management, who have made this vacation extremely enjoyable. We look forward to returning again next year for our 2+ week vacation.

This was our first time visiting at the end of November. The resort was quiet and lovely, as always the service was outstanding. We loved the new sports bar and spent several evenings there. A special shout out to Ivan who made sure the STL BLUES hockey game was on per our request and the Jameson was restocked. Mayren was fantastic as always. Thanks Iberostar

Paradise for sure! The name says it all. Let me first say, I have stayed at many, many resorts in the Maya Riviera, including at this one before. This resort rates among the best! Paraíso Lindo means “pretty paradise” and it really is a paradise. It Iberostar property is large, but very manageable. Golf carts are always available to whisk you to your desired location. There are 5 resorts located side-by-side, parallel to one another. From north to south, they are the Iberostar Del Mar, Iberostar Beach, Iberostar Lindo, Iberostar Maya, and the Iberostar Grand. In the same order, each gets just slightly more upscale from the next. The Del Mar and Beach Resort share pools. Same for the Lindo and the Maya. The Grand is off to itself and the most upscale. IMHO, the Grand is so fancy that it seems a little too sterile. It has lost the “Mexican” feeling that makes the other four resorts so special, just my opinion. I stayed at the Del Mar 2 years ago and just returned from the Lindo. Which is better? Both, would be the honest answer! Both have excellent points, so base your choice on price. As a rule of thumb, you can use any facility (pools and restaurants) at your resort or any “lower” property. Each has a different color wristband. So, if you stay at the Lindo, you may also use the Beach and the Del Mar. Like getting three for the price of one! The Lindo is an excellent choice. There is a nice shopping area owned by Iberostar, only one minute walk from the Lindo and about 5 minutes from the Grand or Del Mar (remember, golf carts will get you there very quickly). In the shopping area there is a taqueria, coffee shop, candy store, ice cream and crepe place, all included! Yes, included, no additional charge for these goodies! Beach - very nice. Ample places to enter without rocks, no need for water shoes. Not a bit of sea weed when we were there. Beach is kept immaculately clean. Kayaks and Hobie cats. Lots of activities. Handy bar(s) right on the beach, also a snack bar. Sufficient beach chairs, some in shade, some in full sun. Rooms - don’t sweat trying to request for the “best room.” Better to inform the hotel of your preference, such as a quiet room, room by the pool, or a room that does not require stairs, then let the hotel select the room. All rooms are good! Beds very comfortable. Rooms are immaculately clean, kudos to the cleaning staff. Great wi-fi throughout the hotel plus a nifty charging station right at your bedside. Evening shows - Wow, just wow! All were entertaining, but two were outstanding. Do not miss the Mexican Dancers (traditional Mexican dancing), best I have ever seen. Magic show was also excellent! Others just mediocre, on a par with most resorts. Pools - all lovely. Sufficient deck chairs, no need to get up early to reserve your spot. Many to choose from, some active, some quiet. Excellent water aerobics class. Entertaining pool games, without being obnoxious. Music was just right, not overly loud! Star Friends are very personable. Shout out to Daniel, Aaron, Josue, well, to all of them You made our stay enjoyable! Specialty restaurants - Many choices, excellent food, reasonably speedy service (better than most resorts). I especially like the self-service salad bar and appetizers. We tried five of them and all were good, although I thought all were heavy on fish/seafood. I’m not a fish lover, so would like to see at least one chicken option on the menu. French restaurant has no such option, but did serve veal. That said, the French had lovely ambiance, but it was my least favorite. Steakhouse was good. Mexican was fantastic! Service in all was excellent! Buffet food - many, many choices! You will absolutely find something you like. Food was so good, you can skip the Specialty restaurants. Concierge services - each building has a personal concierge desk. Get to know them, they were very helpful, made all our dinner reservations, replaced our lost key, always a friendly word. Special shout out to Cristian and Nestor (building 52), they were invaluable! Love you guys!! Tips: Need food for the flight home? Ready-made sandwiches and desserts are available in the lobby bar and at the coffee shop in the shopping area. Always bring a few quart size Ziplock bags and a sandwich-size Tupperware, good for packing your own carry-on lunch and many other things! All in all, the Paraíso Lindo is an excellent choice! Good value for the money. Note to Management: Two suggestions for improvement. Please check the temperature of hot foods at the buffet stations. I do not think they were kept sufficiently warm. This could be dangerous. Please note, this seemed to be a problem at the Lindo only. Food at the Del Mar and Beach buffet was served at correct temperature. Pools were on the cold side. I have been there in the summer and pools were lovely, but at the end of November, they were too cold to enjoy. Would it be possible to heat just one pool?
