The staff was excellent, the hotel is dated, I did get sick, we heard more Michael jackson then reggae, reminded us of a party resort, way to many stupid drunk people. The food was really good but because of the sickness it got a good rating.

We had our wedding at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites with over 40 guests. The BEST place ever. Would go back and do it all over again and again. We will definitely be back. The hotel and people were phenomenal. Can't wait to return.

The Iberostar Grand Rose Hall is an Awesome place to stay! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, service was great and my butler got me anything I needed. There was entertainment everyday and the pools were great. I would return in a heartbeat to this resort!

We arrived hoping to have an excellent experience. We even upgraded from an ocean view to an ocean front. Well, we understand rooms have to be cleaned, so we didn't mind the wait. We want to the bar to get drinks, well upon entering the room, there was a moldy smell and the floor was wet. Then, the minibar wasn't stocked. It took 3 calls=3 hours for someone to finally come and stock it. We were right about the mold, all in the bathroom, on the wall. You could see where they attempted to paint over it. If you ever stay at the Iberostar Grand, and they give you room 6117, request a new room. Definitely wasted upgrade.

My stay at Iberostar Grand was nothing short of wonderful! The only issue I have is the old carpeting they have on the floors of the hallways. I know this is to reduce noise but it is moldy and flared up my allergies. This would be the one and only reason why I will not return. Otherwise, this resort is worth the try. The staff is awesome and I really enjoyed my stay. Just a word of advice, please don't get upset about tipping. The staff does not make a lot of money and they work hard. Tipping will make your stay so much more enjoyable and bringing along enough singles to assist will be best. I heard so many folks complaining about the expectation of tipping and just wanted to voice my opinion. The food selection is amazing and you will not have any trouble finding something to eat. The spa is really nice and I strongly recommend the Jamaican Ritual. The onsite entertainment is a bit overdone but not bad. There are plenty of towels available and the pool and beach areas are well maintained. The chairs are a bit stained so just use two towels to cover the entire length of the chair.

This was our first "all inclusive" and did not disappoint! PROS: Apple Vacation made booking seamless. All you can eat and drink - what else do you need? The staff was AMAZING (thanks Ian, Danielle, Renauldo and Shane). Grounds were beautiful and pool and beach relaxing. Very accommodating. CONS: Apple Vacation rep did not mention our free golf day until I asked about it at the end of trip. Seemed to push to get excursions (only) through them. Rep said it was because Apple Vacation was responsible for us and we would be protected if we booked through them. But then I was asked to sign a waiver for the excursion saying Apple Vacation wasn't responsible if anything happened. Not cool. One rep (Dominique) very attentive and accommodating. Other rep - Set a time to meet but was never there. Not accommodating. I had to text Dominique to make sure our departing info got to the right people. All in all good trip. No major hiccups. We missed our flight to the resort and Apple Vacation Rep Angela was extremely proactive in contacting the resort and making sure everything worked out. I would use Apple Vacation again for sure!

We had a beautiful week at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The butlers, Ojay, Andre, and Randy made certain that we had all we needed. Andre made us a lovely rose petal bath! The food selection, specialty restaurants were excellent. Loved the Japanese! Great jerk chicken at the buffets and grill. The bartenders were great as well. Tried Ricardo's rummy yummy! The beach was long and great swimming. Beautiful, well appointed room and patio. This is the best resort we have stayed at in Jamaica. We cannot say enough good things. We must go back soon

The hotel was very nice and the food was good. I can't say enough good things about the beach and the quality of the resort. However, there were two issues. First, we were supposed to have a butler, who did introduce himself once, but then never came back. I wouldn't have noticed any issue other than that I had stayed at the hotel once before and the butler service was one of the most fun features. When we checked in, there must not have been a butler available, so we missed the "orientation" about the hotel, including what the butler had to offer, and the hotel never really made up for it. Second, we were presented with a free massage in exchange for breakfast with a hotel employee to discuss potential services about the hotel. I thought this might have been in lieu of the butler explaining options, but it turned out to be a pitch for basically a timeshare. The whole ordeal took two hours of our morning, and we didn't do anything prior to 10 a.m. when our meeting was scheduled, so we lost a half-day of vacation. And that was only after we repeatedly said we weren't going to buy anything, so you have to either avoid this presentation or stick to your guns, unless you are interested in their program.

This was our 1st trip to Jamaica, and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the hotel staff, room, butler service, maids, etc. The drinks were outstanding and the bartenders were funny. Everyone there made you feel welcome. The only con (just my opinion) was that the food on the buffets was either luke warm or cold. The sit down restaurants were great and the food came out hot and was excellent. I would definitely give this vacation a 5 start rating.

We had a great time in Jamaica. The people were fantastic..always wanting to help. Service was fantastic, drinks yummy! We were only disappointed in the main buffet one evening and were a little sad that the only times we could get into the specialty restaurants was 8:30 pm. We loved everything else.

Can't get enough of The Grand

This was our forth trip to The Grand. I have previously reviewed the hotel on two previous visits: A Truly Grand Experience Jan 9, 2014 and Another Grand Experience February 2015. I stand by both of those reviews and suggest them for a more in-depth description of the hotel and facilities. Our experiences at The Grand always leave us thinking we want more. More of The Grand that is, and our love affair with The Grand continues unabated. The overall experience continues to be excellent. The staff are truly devoted to ensuring your happiness during your stay. The food remains reliably good, with broad selection for non-carnivores and carnivores alike. Each meal can be personalized to your taste and kitchen staff are very approachable and open to making a custom meal to please a guest. Serving staff are pleasant, efficient and doting but not to distraction. Housekeeping staff address you by name and are always open to providing you with bar items that you prefer rather than the standard supplies. Our primary day butler, André, was truly exceptional. He ensured that all of our needs were met efficiently and he arranged restaurant times that we thought would be unavailable. The cabana staff who provide towels and sunscreen are a delight. Theolyn and Hakim make your day pleasant. One issue I think bears comment. People have a tendency to reserve spots on the beach early in the morning by leaving personal effects and towels on beach chairs. The cabana staff are required by management to collect unattended effects at 7 a.m. During our stay this procedure precipitated a very unpleasant event where a guest who had ‘reserved’ their spot and had had their personal effects removed by the cabana staff went berserk with the charming couple who had taken the empty and available beach seats. While the hotel is not responsible or the guest’s boorish, over the top inappropriate behaviour, the collection policy can provoke this type of event. It was pointed out to me that the policy is included in the welcome letter you receive when you check in. My question is ‘when did you last read the generic welcome letter you receive from a hotel?’ The staff at the checkin should make the policy clear to incoming guests and not leave it to the guest to read the letter. I have every confidence that the hotel management will address this issue in the future to ensure that future guests don’t live through what our beach neighbours experienced. This was our forth visit to The Grand. We can’t wait for our fifth.

Travelled in late January 2017 with 4 other couples. We had a phenomenal time. The beach was perfect. Never had issues finding chairs for all of us. The restaurants were amazing as was the buffet. The grounds were immaculate and the staff so friendly. At night we would sit outside in one of the sofa areas and the service was great. They came to check on us for drinks often and always had a smile. We visited all three resorts one night. That was fun. We will definitely be back.

The hotel was beautiful but needed renovations. The ceiling at entrance area from pool was leaking and wasn't fixed for our entire week there which caused the whole area to smell musty and damp. We realy liked our room and patio overlooking the pools and beach area. Our mini fridge was stacked with Bud light, wine, liquor and Red Stripe beer every day. Just leave a note in the fridge and you had what you asked for. The bar in lobby had all the premium drinks you wanted and more. Our favorite waiters were Clide and Camrae. The pools were beautiful but nobody swam because the water was way too cold. Would be nice to have at least one warm pool since it rains often enough in Jamaica.  No towel cards needed, you can use as many towels as you want . They offer free internet but the only good signal was in lobby. The steaks are amazing at the Surf and Turf restaurant. No worries if you don't have any reservations because the supper buffet is always delicious. Staff is friendly, our concierge did all our reservations for us for the restaurants. We didn't have to be in any kind of line up wich was great. You can go to the Suites Iberostar for shows, restaurants, disco club and Coffee bar. All and all we had an amazing week.  The only thing we realy didn't enjoy was all the soliciting for their prestige club.

Grand Indeed!

After my stay at the Grand there's no way I can consider another resort, unless it's a step up and I mean WAY UP! The place is beautiful, the staff is great, the food is delightful, the property is immaculate and the rooms are very spacious. Let's dive in. Iberostar has three hotels on the same property; Beaches, Suites and the Grand. The Grand gives you access to all three, not vice-versa. The other two are family and couples oriented. The Grand is adults only. Trust me if you are at the Grand you won't want to leave to go to the others. STAFF: The staff is very helpful and friendly. Butlers are at your service night and day. ROOM SERVICE: Room service is on point; never a long wait for service. Your room is restocked every day with water, alcohol, soda, and juice, as well as, a variety of wine, champagne, and water glasses and ice too. We left two unopened bottle of champagne there. ACTIVITIES: Tons of beach and game room activities. Just so you know...the beach is really a beach! ENTERTAINMENT: Their nightly entertainment can rival some Broadway productions. Awesome! HOUSEKEEPING: Not so good! This is one of the few reasons why I couldn't give it a 5 star. Housekeeping was a major disappointment on every level. I won't say what was found on our bed sheets but all I can say is that two supervisors had to come in the middle of the night to change both beds. Disgusting! The room was not swept or dust either. I asked the supervisors not to fire the staff but did want the issue addressed. Let's just say they still need help in this area. DINING: Caviar, lobster, champagne...no complaints on this end! SPA: OMG!!! You can spend your entire trip in the spa! Ten to twelve Jacuzzis/wellness pools, saunas, steam rooms, gym, massages, salon, facials. Incredible! PROPERTY: The property is maintained well, it’s very clean but it's somewhat dated especially in the rooms even though they have modern amenities. SECURITY: Security officers do their job very well and are courteous. I lost my iPhone within hours of my arrival. I was devastated to say the least. A security guard, Williamson, found and returned it. Honesty pays. Here's where I'm disappointed. Coming from America you can't take five steps without being on security cameras. Although I do believe it's intrusive, I was surprised when I asked if there were cameras on the premises because I didn't see any. I was told only at the front desk and a few other spots. WHAT! If this is true, owners need to seriously consider installing them on the entire premise. With all the crimes and assaults happening at resorts in other countries this is a must! Security guards can't be everywhere and see everything. However, I left my suitcase unlocked the whole time I was there, that's not something I'd recommend but after having my iPhone returned, I felt comfortable enough that my things wouldn't be stolen. MANAGEMENT: Like most resorts in Jamaica, they are foreign owned. What I observed not once, not twice but several times during my 9 day stay, was the disrespectful manner in which the foreign staffers, most likely managers or supervisors, spoke to the Jamaican staff. I understand why the workers didn't speak up for themselves so I'm more than happy to be the voice for the voiceless. Jamaicans on a whole are very welcoming to people especially to foreigners. It’s very disheartening to see how workers were addressed in clear view of guests by management. Management needs cultural sensitivity and bias training. As beautiful and GRAND as this resort is, it is NOTHING without the hard work of those Jamaicans workers! Treat people with respect! A big shout out and thank you to those exceptional and hard working employees who made our stay a wonderful experience. Big up to Junior at the front desk, butlers Keen and Relando, chef Charles, Chadwick, Stephano, Hashtag, Gwayne, Williamson and countless of other employees who are excellent at what they do and who are the personification of the island's spirit of hospitality.

This was our third time, but not our last time to vacation at this property. This was our first time to experience New Years Eve there and we can't wait to do it again. With a huge stage assembled on the beach, multiple bars, great music and fireworks show. Jamaican's know how to throw a party. Top it off with a beautiful gala buffet and perfect weather. Our butlers Rory, Omar and Okeene were all so accommodating and eager to please, special thanks to Omar for going above and beyond when my wife needed assistance. It was great to see Thunder again. He gets our vote for entertainer of the year, he's a staple and always brings a smile and a good time. Don't miss the spa it is awesome and ran by the beautiful Chamomile, who assures your services are superb. Carmen gives a wonderful massage, she has magic hands, she definitely adds relaxation to the vacation. Jo Dane in public relations is committed to the guests having the best experience possible. And one of the property Managers Valdez Santos is on top of everything and is always very accommodating. His memory is amazing, he welcomed us back. I can't leave off the Aldian and Hakeem who work around the pool, Hakeem made sure to pop by the lobby to say goodbye before we departed. The staff are all really friendly and concerned about the guests having a good time. Our experience is these crews work hard to serve your every need and don't get paid like we do, we show our appreciation by tipping generously.
