Room 361 just had a window and looked at roof top and just needed to get out by 7:00 am to reserve a hut for beach sun coverage

I left my wallet at the Palms restaurant outside bar. It was turned into Security by the bartender Oliver intact. I was very grateful for the honesty of this employee.

Our Aruba trip

Overall the hotel is top shelf and we would definitely reccommend as a destination to stay in Aruba. Our room was of the highest standard and we were impressed with the helpful and friendly staff. When we checked in we were given a room with a partial ocean view and were quickly accommodated with a room change as we had booked an ocean island view. I do have to say that the one restaurant which was opened left a lot to be desired and would not reccommend it as a choice for dinner. We were given credit to other restaurants in the area which were excellent choices. The only other suggestion would be that the pool area have better lighting in the evening. It was extremely dark and we had difficulty seeing our way back.

The conformation we received from Apple Vacations stated we had a ocean front room with a balcony, Not so, it cost us another $1078.00 to upgrade to a ocean front and a balcony you could set on. Someone did not do there job right. I would not recommend the Hyatt in Arbua to anyone. They even charge my credit card twice.

The hotel was very nice and service was great. We arrived and they told us we would have to move to another room the next day and i was very upset! I do not want to repack and move to another room?????

They said we would have to move to a different room after our first night and i was not happy about that at all. They then said they would give us a $150 credit at the hotel. I still did not want to move and they said that they could do nothing. We settled on $175 and we move the next morning-not what i want to do on vacation!!!!!!!!!

We loved our stay the Hyatt Resort and Casino in Aruba. It met our expecttions and beyond. The staff members were helpfu and friendly in all of my dealing with them. Our room was spectacular! We had a deluxe pool view and it was wonderful to look our every morning and see both the lush gardens and beautiful pool area. We could even get a little glimpse of the ocean and beach. The rooms were nicley decorated and always clean and fresh! I loved the king size bed. We spent much of our day at the beach where the Hyatt offered large beach towels, cabanas for shade, plenty of lounge chairs, and the most amazing floats that we used everyday to relax in the Ocean. We had a chance to check out many other resorts durnig our stay and I feel we made the best choice in choosing the Hyatt in Aruba.

The rooms were wonderful, shower was awesome! Our room attendant Bertha was phenomenal on the 6th floor. The pool was tremendous for all ages. The food by the pool was tremendous. I would suggest fish tacos and smoothies. The chickees were wonderful. It was the best beach and we walked the entire hotel row. Ruins Del Mar was wonderful. Great fish and onion soup as well as apple dessert. The Mexican Restaurant I would pass on. This is the place you want to stay to enjoy the beach, pool and easy walk to wonderful restaurants.

Excellent resort but room for improvement

We stayed at the Hyatt for 2 nights (New Years Eve and Day). I must point out the timing of our stay as one of my primary complaints at the property was noise level at night. Obviously many guests selected this property to ring in the new year and party so it's hard to say if this would be an issue during a non-holiday stay. The hotel has nice signage when you get off the elevators with quiet hours indicated but guests seem to completely disregard them. Our room was situated near the elevator, ice machine and right outside the pool bar that stays open late so I believe these factors made it difficult to get some rest. The management was very responsive to listening to my complaint and they offered to move our room the first night but it was so late (after 1am) we decided to decline the offer. They did make amends and we appreciated that they were generally concerned with our overall happiness with the property. The casino is very nice, and we were satisfied with the quality and variety of dining on site, although service was generally slow. There was one particular lady that worked in the market the first day of our stay and the juice bar the next that was preparing food so slow it took a half hour to get a sandwich or a smoothie. I get there is such a thing as island time but this was more like watching a movie in slow motion and she never smiled. Many other employees made up for the few that seemed miserable. Many were friendly and greeted you as you walked by. The beach at this resort is beautiful and we had no issues getting chairs by the pool despite it being the busy season. I love the system they have to reserve your palapya online the day before. This is brilliant and more resorts should consider using this system. The concierge on property was very helpful and was accessible by e-mail, phone or in person. She was very responsive with our requests. Overall I would return to the Hyatt but definitely would request a high floor room closer to the beach for a better night's sleep.

High Season at the Hyatt

Arrived January 2 to a completely occupied hotel. The highly qualified staff made sure that you did not have to wait for anything. Bellman and World Of Hyatt checking was almost like having a personal assistant. Online beach services and reservations let us plan for our specific preferences for beach hut and dining experiences. I would estimate that this was our 20th stay at Hyatt Aruba. It only gets better. The staff that cares for us knows our name.

Simply disappointing

Our first experience with the Hyatt and very disappointed. The grounds looked great last year so we decided to try for 4 nights and wish we hadn't. The sound through the walls was bad and worst through the entry door to the point that my wife and I were awoken a number of times during our first two nights for the worst ever sleep. Balconies (nope) and the few rooms that have them you can forget a table and chairs. The beach had the worst papala situation (on top of one another) and the worst pallapa reservation system when compared to the Hilton and the Holiday Inn (simply horrible), Holday Inn had the best system for Platinum members. Overall we were both glad to be leaving this hotel and wish we spent all of our time at the Hilton as this stay was anything but relaxing. Fell way short of expectations on every level and you couldn't pay us to stay another night at this hotel. We are Hyatt Discoverist and discovered that this is simply just bad on too many levels...

Great stay at the Hyatt in Aruba!

Hotel is beautiful. Staff attentive to your needs. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Beach, pool, water slide, hot tubs, all were great! Concierge very helpful setting up restaurant reservations, which are a must. Highly recommend staying at the Hyatt if going to Aruba.
