Best choice for activities lovers on Riviera Maya

This is one of the newest hotels in Riviera Maya, and it has only been open since December 2016. It comes with free transportation from and to airport, and access to a plethora of activities that includes transportation, access and food. The setting is absolutely superb, with a lot of greenery, and suspended bridges connecting the buildings. there is an inner river, with beaches, and water slides. Also, kayaks and paddle boards can be taken on the river for free. The beach to the ocean is rather small, and rocky, but still very picturesque. There are four pools, and all of them have restaurants / food nearby. There are also carts with fresh fruit supplied around the resort, during the day. The biggest pool is an infinity pool, with view to the ocean. Note to readers: if you research the hotel, and see a glass pool/bridge, that is not accessible to all customers, and i did not counted as one of the 4 pools. That particular pool I believe is on the fire building, which is reserved for club members. Food is good all around, but I really liked the mexican restaurant / buffet, and the asian specific restaurant. The mexican specific restaurant is made to look like a local market, which adds to its charm. Also, look for the carts with food. I had some really good tacos, but also watching them made right on spot was a show to remember. As far as the access to the parks, it includes transportation and food. The on-spot activities, like swim with dolphins, or similar, are obviously not included, but even so, that adds tremendous value to your stay in Riviera Maya. Xel-ha trip has the options to add both or just one of the Tulum and Coba, for the history buffs. But on a side note.. if you do both Coba and Tulum, you will probably get to Xel-Ha around 2:30, 3:00 pm, and the park closes at 5:00 pm, so you will not have much time to actually get a chance to both eat something, and enjoy the park- you may want to come back again just for the water park.. In Xcaret we liked that we could just lie in a hammock and snack on something after swim. The show at 9:00 pm is a must.. Xenses is very different, and you will not spend the entire day there. It has this street that seems to go up, but you feel like you are going down.. and the water in the side ditch is flowing up hill.. Xplor has a lot of underground activities, so if u have a cloudy/ rainy day.. there u can hide and still have fun :) Xplor Fuego is the same park, only at night time. Also a trip to Chichenitza is offered, and a Cenote tour. These are all day trips, and definitively worth doing. As you notice, there is a lot to do, so careful planning of your time might be opportune. To finish with a few tips.. There is a restaurant in a "cave", by the inner river.. it is worth to try it, at least for the view and the atmosphere.. Also, there is a small restaurant/bar on the way from the main pool to the beach, that has huge burgers around lunch time.. Try to make reservations for everything you would like to do during your stay as soon as possible. The hotel is in the same network with all the above mentioned parks, so you will be able to purchase any photos you have taken in your trips in one seat, before you leave. And if u have the possibility, go to the Spa... We had an amazingly relaxing experience there.

Would like to thank Eliazar, from Xin Gao restaurant, who stopped us from going into elevator and offered a table, knowing that we didn’t have reservation for tonight! Thank you for amazing service, Elizar 👍🏻

Breathtaking hotel views

The resort is breathtaking, staff not trustworthy, price very expensive compared to other resorts for example places resorts and legendary resorts wich i belong to, for 4 people the way your program is set up. Food i liked the buffet the best you have to be at restaurants early or have reservations. The parks ar rd great for new people who haven't went there before, we went there to eat, they had better food. Again the hotel is amazing but all that goes out of the window when someone steals from your room, i know the hotel is not at fault but they need to vent there employees better.

Spectacular but stay away from the "free breakfast" and presentation

This place is beyond amazing, but we got duped plain and simple, the 45 minute presentation after a short breakfast, which was not free because your at an all inclusive anyway, became a 7 hour ordeal. We did sign, actually for the Diamond package, a 30 year commit, but once home and as we found basically everything fraudulent in every claim made, I spent several days trying to negotiate with them, at countless levels of their management team. All I wanted was what I signed for and would have stuck with program, but the final answer was waiting for them to respond and they chose not to respond, I set a deadline and it surpassed ,and was forced to dispute credit card charges, which were over 14,000 USD just as a deposit. Yes I said 14,000 dollars was just the initial deposit. Now they are fighting back and disputing our claim, we simply want out, there was nothing exchanged, I mean nothing, we had already paid for our 3 days visit there, we even asked for that to be thrown in as part of our 30 year commit to them and they did not even do that. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT go to the presentation, simply enjoy their property for what it is, a beautiful place.
