My meeting time with Ruebin was to be at 4:30pm. I showed up at 4:45pm and he was not there. I left a message on his cell phone to leave message at front desk but he did not. I ended up paying $15.00 for a return drive to airport.

We love Hotel Cozumel and it's the only place we stay in Cozumel. The people are great, they remember you and bend over backwards for you.

Never ever stay at Hotel Cozumel resort, The food was horrible, the service was terrible and after getting our money stolen out of our safe and having to spend a full day running from one police station to the next to file a report was unbelievable. Raul B The desk manager assured us the maid was fired and that the police would get the money from her because they have ways of getting the truth out of people. He acted as if he was helping us and in fact was in on it we caught him in so many lies and how he treated us was horrible . After we filed a police report and brought the police back to the hotel they did not like that and treated us terrible for the next 24 hours and tell we could pay to move to a new hotel . I was so afraid of something more happening to us .

I will start by saying the majority of the hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. This staff includes the restaurant, bar and cleaning. I am extremely unhappy that an Apple representative was only at the hotel 1 hour each morning when we were always diving so I had to book our excursions through the hotel and therefore was very misled and taken advantage of money wise. I was tole a price and then had to pay additional costs. When I tried calling Apple to ask questions about the excursions they couldnt answer them and said to talk to the representative at the hotel, which there wasnt anyone. Food at the hotel was just ok we ended up eating in town a few nights due to this.

I booked vacation through Apple to Hotel Cozumel and Resort all inclusive. However, booked back in November and was sent itinerary in December. When we got to airport in Chicago were told we were too late and our flight time to leave had been changed to 2 hours EARLIER?! In over 30 years of flying anywhere had I NEVER once had a flight change that was earlier than scheduled. Needless to say we (myself and my 3 children) missed our departing flight to Cozumel. My original flight was also direct, the next available flight to Cozumel was the next morning and had a layover in Miami. I was NOT happy. When we left the next morning we arrived as scheduled and hotel was aware of our missed flight and 1st night. Spoke with Apple representative who was able to get an additional night at the same hotel, but I had to pay $250 extra for the extra night. American Airlines was decent enough to fly us out and back a day later at no extra cost. The kids loved the pool, the snorkeling area across the street from the hotel was not as beautiful as it appeared in photos. The sandy, 'man made beach?' was not that great either. Food was mediocre. Mexican holiday was going on as well and a lot of families were there with multiple kids, cutting in line and just all over rude. My youngest son would often get overlooked or ignored while waiting in line for a burger or something to eat. French fries were always put out in batches and disappeared within 5 minutes by vulture like families who acted like they had not eaten in a week. Room was nothing special, had to walk all the way around the hotel to get to ours all the way in the back. Had 2 double beds and had 2 pillows for 4 people. Had to ask for extra pillows and towels multiple time. The entertainment staff was great, always including the kids in activities whenever possible. Would I come back here for vacation, probably not.

Unfortunately this hotel was the biggest dump. By far the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. The food was absolutely terrible as well. We dreaded eating every day and ended up losing weight on our trip! The overall trip was very inexpensive which was probably why it was the grossest hotel imaginable. Not only was the food terrible, they NEVER change the menu, and we found hairs almost daily. Will NEVER skimp out on another vacation after this experience nor would we ever go back or recommend this place. In addition on our last day when our luggage was supposed to be in a locked and secured area, it was not. We found out by walking past the "secure" room finding the door wide open with no one in sight! We stood their over 5 minutes and no one came. We had to go to the front desk to complain.

It was great getting away, a much needed vacation for us, but I would not even give the facility a poor rating. Much lower. :(

Great location.was able to walk to town for dinner and lunch. Was glad we were able to do European plan since food looked sub par, although breakfast was adequate. Will definitely be back as long as European plan is offered.

Not very exciting

We stayed here for a couple of nights all-inclusive. On the good side was very friendly and, mostly, helpful staff. And there is a dive centre (our reason to stay) across the road. Plus also for lending bicycles to guests and ATM machine in the lobby. On the downside that it was a quite boring and noisy place, small bathroom and a bit run-down in interior decorations. The food was certainly not a highlight and lacked in variation, other than that pots were placed in different spots but with same contents at every meal. Dining room very noisy. Decent (espresso) coffee only avaible when asking, and even then not always. This is a place to go if you want to socialize on your vacation and be entertained. Or have hungry teenagers (plenty of unhealthy snacks on offer in all inclusive). But if you are a more independent, adventurous traveller you will not want to stay here. Guests seemed to be mostly US and Mexicans, we did not encounter any Europeans. Diving was ok, but boats more crammed than in eg Indonesia, snorkling was not offered other than from boats where every one had to follow a snorkel guide and wear lifevests. State of the reefs quite bad, cannot be compared to Red Sea or Idnian Ocean spots.

Just about ok

Didn’t expect too much for the price and wasn’t disappointed . Staff were great. Maintenance man came hurrying over to recover a lost earring down the sink . It’s just it was SO full of large noisy families which wasn’t too good . It kind of reminded me of the 70s hotels with one single large pool with loungers all around. Luxurious it is not. Food was ok , but the lovely friendly chef made it seem a lot better!

A good hotel.

We like the hotel because the dive shop is on site. Breakfast is very good. Rooms on the road side are noisy. Balcony is a plus. Rooms and property are clean. Our sink leaked and there was no frig which is nice in warm weather. They do have bottled water available. Beautiful beach with few people. Everyone hangs at the pool.

Enjoyed the stay

The resort was very nice. It was quiet, peaceful and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was pleased with the food choices. The bed was extremely comfortable. Not what you expect in US however very nice

Exceeded expectations. Perfect for families. Great price for Cozumel

We really loved the swimming caleta/salt water pool with easy access to snorkeling. You can swim outside the caleta and follow a small coral wall up and down the coast. We saw lots of fish, and even some baby squid and a seasnake. I even did an evening snorkle there. The Salt water pool is a great spot to get used to your equipment and to teach beginners to Snorkel in a safe shallow area with no waves. The hotel's pool was big and beautiful and closes really late, I think at 10pm. We spent many hours just laying in the water relaxing. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. AI is only a little more so it is worth it for the drinks and snacks however dinners get repetitive. Just go into town, which is about a 15 minute walk or $4.50 Taxi ride. I recommend
