Rose hallis a older hotel that needs to be updated. the rooms are okay but not to the standards a Hilton should be. Bathrooms were marginal and the beach front is substandard.

THis resort was absolutely magnificent. It is both elegant and casual. During the day, the resort is casual but at night, you can dress up and go to the restaurants on site. The staff is great. I don't know how they do it, but they remember your name and you feel like you form friendships there. We went to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The concierge arranged a bottle of champagne at dinner. Of coure there in Jamaica, 18 is the legal drinking age. The bar on the lobby level is very nice and outdoors. The food at the resort is so good. Don't forget to go to Mangoes for the beef patties!!!! This resort is great for adults and for families. Amenities are available for the children with a great water slide and lazy river as well as for adults. This is a wonderful place to stay. My family enjoyed it as much as my son and I did!!!

Hotel was clean. People that worked there were nice. Drinks were very good. The food quality as this resort was poor by my standards.

The overall quality of our resort was fair to good. Our room was very musty, while our children's room was fine. Although our room was clean, we had to ask for extra towels a lot. Although we understand that we could not be guaranteed adjoining rooms with our children, one would think that rooms close together would have been arranged. I had to argue for this. Hotel staff were generally pleasant, but did not go out of their way to be particularly gracious or smiley. Service in the Fresh restaurant was subpar. There were not nearly enough umbrellas at the pool.

The Hilton Rose Hall was a great family hotel. We loved the pool and lazy river and slides. The beach was small but nicely kept and they had lots of activities, sea kayaks, hobie cats (they"ll take you out if you don't know how to sail, and windsurfing. My 14 and 11 year old boys loved it. My husband and father played golf and were very happy and we all enjoyed the snorkeling. The drinks were yummy but bit weak, which was fine by me. The food was good but not exceptional. We enjoyed the bbq nights and lunch at the sea side the Jamaican pork was really good and the chicken curry sub was good too. We all loved the omlettes in the morning but the rest of breakfast was only so so. The beds were very comfortable but the room had some dated aspects like popcorn walls and ceilings. However the furniture was tasteful and the bathrooms were updated though small. The staff was 90% very friendly and accommodating. I love that from Indy you could get there on a non stop. The ease of travel made it a perfect choice for us. While not perfect, I would still highly recommend for families. We had a fabulous vacation!

The trip was fantastic. Apple took care of us when we got to Jamaica and got us to the hotel. The Hotel was kept impeccably clean and serviced by a very happy 'no problem' attitude staff. I would (and already have..) recommended this trip to others.

Apple vacations left me at hotel at check out. Waited in long line to check out which caused me to be 4 minutes late for my ride. They left. Forced to take a $60 cab ride. Ants all over hotel room. Disgusting! Food is horrible. Hotel filled with huge organization (smart circle). These people were loud and obnoxious. Lack of assistance from hotel staff. Terrible.

December Holiday

Wow! This was our very first all-inclusive resort and it did not disappoint. Our family of three adults and three college-age children enjoyed the entire resort. When we first arrived, we were greeted with cold drinks and moist towels that were a welcome treat after traveling all day. However, the one disappointment with the resort was not only the slow check-in (over 30 minutes) but the overall lack of interest with all of the desk areas when we went for help or had a question (making reservations, planning trips, room key not working). Granted, we were visiting over the Christmas break and things were busy but after waiting anywhere from 20-30+ minutes you’d think we should have been more upset about the wait but the people helping us seemed very annoyed with us and moved us from from one line to another at times. We were on vacation so we tried not to let it dampen our spirits. We thoroughly enjoyed both pools, the warm Caribbean water and swimming out to the raft, and all of the food options. There was a variety of food and drinks options. We loved the occasional theme nights for dinner at Fresh and our favorite places to eat were Mangoes and Moonstone (which I think is Annie’s Smokehouse at night and RIGHT on the water). Overall, we loved our trip, the warm water, the beautiful grounds and hammocks, the offered classes (I did aerobics in the pool), the Chess and ping pong, the evening shows and music, the water slides and pools, and the friendly bartenders and waitresses. We would definitely return!

Great family holiday

Travelled with virgin holidays as part of a twin centre with Orlando. First allocated a ground floor room, that we found noisy. Stayed here 3 nights until we spoke to the virgin rep who quickly changed our room to a higher floor. When changed we found the room very pleasant, no complaints at all and we had wonderful views of water park & distant sea views. Staff were very friendly and helpful around the resort. We found the food in the buffet restaurant plentiful and varied. The Italian was our favourite with great menu and service. Didn’t really rate the restaurant at the golf club. The food here was basic and service not as we expected. The facilities for families were excellent, waterpark area was a hit. Only downside was that people kept rubber rings to sit in around the swim up bar area rather than pass on for people to use in the lazy river and water slides. Drinks were of good quality as was the food overall. Definitely recommend and would visit again.

Wasn't originally excited about visiting Jamaica with fears of safety. Was told not to leave the resort by those who likely are misinformed. The Rose Hall Hilton was exceptionally clean and the food was the best of any island we have visited. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They worked to get you whatever you needed and wanted your experience to be a good one and ours definitely was. Norette and Nevell worked the swim up pool bar most of the week and they were always smiling and always ready to serve you. If you go, you must ask them for their own special drinks that aren't on the menu. I would also recommend taking tours off the resort. We had a blast and never felt unsafe at any time. We got to experience the culture and see the beauty of Jamaica and would highly recommend it. I would suggest private tours over the large bus tours. Your driver will spend the time necessary and take you wherever you would like to go. Overall, Jamaica was an incredible trip and once we visit other islands, we would like to return.

Solo Trip To Montego Bay

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa at the end of January. I treated myself to a relaxing solo trip for my thirtieth birthday. Though I travelled alone, I was in great company at the resort. I was first greeted by Roan who was very friendly and warm. He assisted me with my luggage and directed me to the Hilton Honors desk. I was checked in by Janelle. The experience was smooth and quick as she was attentive and professional. Rajay at the cabanas gave great service. He made my day when he surprised me with some birthday desserts on a beautifully decorated plate and wished me happy birthday. I had great talks with and delicious drinks from both Cecelia and Cynthia. I mainly dinned at Fresh and received great service from the staff there as well, namely Petolivier, Anne Kay, and Richardo. Every staff member that I came into contact with was helpful and had answers for all my questions. Not once did I feel alone. The hotel itself is beautiful with tall glass windows and a beautiful view of the beach. On the other side of the hotel is a beautiful view of the mountains. There are daily activities for adults and children. Guests can also coordinate offsite excursions through the concierge. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and the food quality is great. The hotel itself is only about 15 minutes from the Sangster International Airport and the view is pretty nice. Overall, this was a great first experience. I will definitely be back. I also want to mention that I travelled alone to Rose Hall after the state of emergency was declared in Montego Bay. Not once did I feel unsafe or even affected by it. If you are concerned, please do not let this stop you from traveling to Montego Bay. You will just be missing out.
