Love this hotel. A few things I wish the rooms were a little roomier to have a comfortable chair or lounger in them. Also a lounger on the patio but they are small unless you are in a suite.

We chose this hotel because of all the great reviews. It was very nice and in a great location but it was a bit dated and not as high end as advertised. I'm not quite sure that it was worth the cost. But it was a very nice hotel and we did have a wonderful time. Palm beach was a great location.

Radisson Aruba Review
KRISTINA H.
Oct 01 2012
Overall this hotel was nice and friendly. There were a few things that I think could have been better. One is that the rooms were very dry and when you request an ocean view room, you barely see the ocean. We requested an ocean view room and we were given 3rd floor room, which is a view of the top of the kitchen area, which has many loud fans and a very limited area of the ocean. Another issue is that this was our honeymoon. We were told that they do special things for people in their honeymoon. When asked, the lady at the counter said she had to check to see if there was anything available for honeymoons. When we got back to our room, we had a bottle of champagne that was just sitting on the table in the room. Not very romantic but at least it was something. The other issue was that we had the all-inclusive. Not many people really seemed to know what that was about. We had to constantly ask to make sure that we would not have a charge at the end of our drinks/meals. On our last night there, we went to our room and we had a letter in our room showing that we owed $800 from our stay. Of course, that was wrong and we had to go back to the front desk and ask why they charged us? According to them, they didn't have down that we had all inclusive. Also- make sure to keep all receipts as one of the waiters wrote down that we charged something to our room when we actually paid cash. We had our receipt to prove it and they changed it. Otherwise, it was a good honeymoon overall. Just make sure to take advantage of the all inclusive as it is more expensive however drinks were at least 7-9 dollars a piece if you didn't have it.

Great Stay At Hilton Aruba
BethC1005, Trumbull, Connecticut

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Aruba. The hotel is well located in walking distance of many good restaurants. The layout is terrific with 3 buildings of rooms. We were in the Bonaire tower and it was very convenient to the pools, beach and back to the bar and lobby. Because guests are spread out it does not feel crowded, you are not waiting on line at an elevator. Rooms are above average but not really special. The pools were very nice and we enjoyed the use of a palapa pool side. But the staff at the towel/ activities are not very nice - very confusing explanations of how to get a cabana, palapa and I felt like I was bothering them when I asked a question or for towels. Wait staff at the pools was exceptional. The Sunset Grill restaurant was wonderful (but go to the concierge desk and get the coupon for dinner before you go as it is a pricey meal). We found the resort to not be overcrowded. As we walked the beach to check out the other hotels, we found that the hotel, pool and beach areas all appeared to be very overcrowded at the other hotels, so we were happy with out Hilton choice. I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Hilton with my daughter from 4/14-4/17, we were celebrating her Sweet Sixteen. The property is BEAUTIFUL, from the moment you walk into the lobby you have this relaxed feeling wash over you. Our check-in went smoothly, by the time we reached our room (building 3) the bellman was waiting for us with our bags. Our room was clean and really nice. I have to say it felt a bit outdated compared to the room I stayed in while in the main building a few years ago. We then headed straight to the pool(s) which were clean and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The staff at the beach & pool are so attentive and helpful. On the second day of our stay we returned to the room after spending a day at the beach to find a Happy Birthday note accompanying a DELICIOUS piece of chocolate cake surrounding by chocolate covered strawberries for my daughter from the front dest staff. ❤️ That really made my daughter feel special. The day before we were due to check-out we had a "hiccup" with our housecleaning but Bibi (Head of Housekeeping) and Vicky (Front-Desk) listened to me and were so understanding. They totally made everything right. We will hopefully be returning to Aruba this winter and stay at the Hilton once again!

This is the 3rd time vacationing in Aruba (stayed at the Ritz & the Hyatt previously) and will say that the Hilton was the best for the money. Since we had 2 rooms, we choice the Hilton over the Hyatt where we stayed the previous time in Aruba. The Hilton was a better property and the rooms were better. We stayed on the Club floor in the Aruba tower and it was definitely worth it. The breakfast & happy hour in the Club was excellent as the food choices changed every day. And the complementary palapas were well worth the extra charge for the Club floor. The staff in the Club room were very helpful every day. We ate at the Sunset Grill the 1st night and the food was excellent. A great start to our vacation. We also ate at Gilligan's for several lunches and the service and food were fine. We felt the service at the palapas were very good as someone seemed to come by often each day and we never had issue with cruise ship folks taking up space in front of our palapas as some reviews have suggested. We will definitely stay again at the Hilton as it exceeded our expectations.

Great hotel in a great location!

We just returned home from a 5 night stay at the Hilton Aruba. We are Hilton Honors Diamond members and we really enjoyed the location of our garden view room in the Bonaire tower as it was centrally located on the property with easy access to the Laguna restaurant for breakfast and also the pool area. The pool was great and the beach was beautiful. Having easy access to the "boardwalk" along the beach made it easy to have nice beachfront walks to all the waterfront restaurants and bars. The staff was friendly and helpful. Grace at the front desk was very helpful when we checked in. The palapa reservation system was easy and the poolside cabana rentals were awesome. When we visit again, which we will surely do, I would just rent a poolside cabana everyday we are there. You get great shade, comfy chairs, and a cooler full of ice and waters. I never felt the rush of having to put towels on chairs to hold them like you have to do at other resorts. There is also poolside food and drink service which is great! We had lunch poolside every day. Now, with all of that being said, I will say that I don't feel the Hilton Aruba treats Hilton Honors Diamond Members the same as other Hilton Resorts. They give you a coupon to use for 2 people to get a discounted upgrade to a full breakfast. Other resorts give all in your party the full breakfast. And at the end of the month that is going away and they are just giving Diamond members a daily $11 credit to use anywhere. They really just don't offer room upgrades (our garden view room was the upgrade). We have stayed at many other properties and were always upgraded to Ocean views, etc. But from getting to know this property I don't really think they really have any true "ocean view" rooms. We really did end up loving our room and location but all that we could see were trees and shrubs. With how the resort is laid out I would want the same building and floor again for the convenience of it. At least we were not overlooking a roof or another resort parking lot, etc. which I have seen in other reviews. And finally, on our last day at the resort we returned to our room after being out by the pool all day and our room smelled badly of cigarette smoke (in a non-smoking room/building) and we found the smell was coming out of the A/C vent. It was practically unbearable. We called the front desk and they had maintenance come out while we went out to dinner. When we returned from dinner the smell was still there though not as strong at that point and also now had an air freshener scent to it. We were told they changed the filters, etc. They offered to change our room but we dealt with it since we were tired and did not want to pack up and move to another room just to have to pack up to leave in the morning. During the night the smell would come and go as the person must have been smoking. The hotel did end up giving us a small credit towards our room bill when we checked out which was nice. We are quite sure that someone checked in that day and they were smoking in their room that was on the same A/C vent system as our room. We actually watched a woman walk out the building smoking while were eating breakfast that morning before checkout. Pretty sure she was the cause!

Unbelievable

This is much better than the Hyatt, great new rooms and the service is amazing. The manager Nelson of the hotel was very helpful and really made sure my family had an amazing time. The food is great and the hotel employees are very helpful.
