The Grand Wailea Resort features the best pools and water activities in Maui. Our Wailea Canyon Activity Pool is for the kid in everyone, with waterslides, rapids, a rope swing, and more. Spa Grande offers a wide array of treatments that reflect a balance between the traditions of the east, west, and ancient Hawaii. There is no Maui resort spa like it. It includes 40 treatment rooms in a 50,000 square-foot spa, the largest spa in Hawaii. It is famous for its exclusive Terme Hydrotherapy Circuit, a unique haven of water therapies featuring a Roman tub, saunas, cascading waterfalls, Swiss jet showers, a Japanese furo, and five specialty baths.

This award-winning resort is also near five championship, 18-hole, golf courses. Wailea Golf Club features three Maui golf courses, the Blue, Gold, and Emerald Courses, meticulously designed by the world's best golf architects. From award winning restaurants like the HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUAA to world-renowned chefs like Alan Wong and his acclaimed AMASIA, the Grand Wailea Resort features a wide range of cuisine and casual dining options set in stunning Maui atmospheres.

And of course, just steps away from the Grand Wailea, is Wailea Beach, rated one of the best beaches on Maui and one of the top beaches in the world. Snorkel with green sea turtles. Staying at the Grand Wailea
KATHERINE G.
Sep 29 2014
The Grand Wailea is a beautiful resort. The staff was friendly. We arrived before 4 so they partially checked us in and gave us a room to change in which was an empty hotel room. This was a great convenience because we were able to take our suitcases there and change for the pool. It would have been nice if it would have been vacuumed first. The floor was covered with debris. We were later called by the front desk that our room was ready and had to wait in another long line to get our key. It was Saturday so there were a lot of arrivals. Some additional check in staff to make the lines go faster would have been nice. The grounds were beautiful including the pool area but it was packed with people. It seemed the pool deck is too small to accommodate the number of guests. There are many cabanas available but they charge as much as a night in the resort so most went unused. The food at the resort was very good but somewhat overpriced. Lunch for one at the bistro was $40. The daily parking charge seemed excessive to the resort fee. Great location in Wailea. Snorkeling right on property was great. Nice walking path along the beach to other resorts and Wailea shops.

food choice was very limited and extremely expensive. Beach umbrella had to booked, had a loooong queue. Xbox games for teenagers were limited and parents hv to be present even for 10 year olds. Club kids had to paid for you have to pay for every single thing after having spent a bunch on the hotel itself

This is a great place for families. On the other hand it was a celebration for our 25th Wedding anniversary. We did not appreciate the amount of children that were there. Beach space was limited so we had to be at the beach at 7am to get a seat on the beach.

Wonderful time.

I stayed 5 nights in this hotel with my family and we had a lovely time. This is a very nice hotel and all the employees were so nice and helpful. We stayed on the 9th floor and had great views. Many families love this hotel because of the kiddie swimming pools. Apparently, its very well known for this purpose. I'm so happy there was an adult only swimming pool to go to and not have children screaming so they I could lay out and relax. The food by the pool area wasn't terrible but could use an improvement. They also have a texting system were you can communicate but I have the service and replies would sometimes lag for hours and was just better if you called them personally. I did get a massage and the guy scratch my back with his nails. I thought it was just my sunburn until I looked and he left 3 long scratches on my back. I've stayed on Maui before at a different hotel and still went the this spa and had a great experience so I think that was just the masseuse. I still loved the relaxing baths etc before my massage. I would most certainly stay here again.

We were lucky enough to have Angelica do our family pictures from Pacific Dreams. She was very patient with us and we worked together to get some amazing shots. The next day we view the pictures and we’re very happy with what we got. They really let us take our let us pick the best pictures. We were able to immediately get the digital copies.highly reccomend

Wife’s 50th

My wife went with my oldest for her 50th. I was at home with our younger kids. I called Michael at Humu (where she was going for her bday dinner). I just wanted her greeted with a nice glass of champagne and a “happy birthday”. They really took it to another level. They had a relaxing blast the whole week, but it made me feel good that she was treated right in her special bday while I was home in PA.

BIRTHDAY VISIT
Grahame W, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Sun Aug 12 18:47:21 EDT 2018
On our annual visit from Dubai to mainland USA, my wife and I try to take in a visit to another part of the country. It was my wife’s birthday and so we decided to spoil ourselves and visit Hawaii. Our choice was Maui specifically for one week. We also hired a car, did the drives, the helicopter flights and the volcano at sunrise. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and took the opportunity of eating off the property on a number of evenings. One being Italian at the adjacent 4 Seasons; the restaurant on the outside terrace was great but we were far from impressed with the service for pre-dinner drinks. Our visit to Tommy Bahamas at the next door shopping centre was very good. Great location to visit. Dinner for my wife’s birthday was at Nicks Fish Market at the next door Fairmont hotel which was exceedingly good. Breakfasts at Grand Wailea were good, though had queuing problems at peak time. Maybe remove the inside umbrellas and extend the dining space into the lobby space. I suggest that serving space is provided at both ends of the restaurant. Our one complaint and it is a serious one is related to pool and beach facilities. 1. When your average room rate is nearly $1,000.00 per night WHY charge $30.00 per day per key as a beach charge, mad3 worse when there are clearly insufficient FREE umbrellas. Please provide more umbrellas. Please also remove this daily charge. 2. Charging $750.00 per day for a covered gazebo ( at the time of our visit these were discounted 50%). Even so this is over the top. 3. The adult pool does not have enough lounger space. Extend the deck. Not having at least one lounger space between couples makes fo4 an uncomfortable time with a feeling of personal space being intruded on. 4. There are no foot/showers around the pools or on the path as you come off the beach. 5. Beach refreshment service is not very good. Staff uniforms should be improved as well as their service professionalism. Charging $5.00 for a small glass of Coke (probably 1/4 can and the rest is large quantity of ice) is also over the top. 6. There are no life guards on the beach or around the pools, this not being good safety policy considering the number of children on the property. The use of disclaimer signs saying NO LIFEGUARDS is not good enough. I would look forward to your professional reply to my observations. My email address is available on request. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit and will recommend your hotel.

Too many people!

I realize it's August and a busy time of year on Maui. The hotel has not staffed appropriately for the crowds, however. We waited 15 minutes every time we wanted our car from valet, 20 minutes for a bowl of oatmeal at breakfast (the waiter said the kitchen was backed up, yet 90% of the people in the restaurant were eating the buffet), and had to request drinks 2-3 times from pool staff every time we ordered. I'm all for being relaxed on vacation, but for the very high prices you pay at the GW, I do expect reasonably good service. The water slides are fun (another wait), but you need to be at the pool by 7 am to get any shade and I waited 40 minutes for an umbrella on the beach. After 2 nights here we went down the road to the Fairmont Kea Lani for some actual relaxation. If you don't mind a Vegas atmosphere, then you might enjoy the GW. My family prefers a quieter, less crowded, but still luxurious resort, and this did not fit the bill.
