Excellent resort, quiet spot on time the hills. Spent one week here and don’t have a bad comment about this place. The service at the upper adults pool is the best I’ve had down south, thanks to the bartenders especially Rafael.

I must admit, arriving to this resort I had no idea what to expect but by the end of the week I was fighting back tears in my eyes while saying good bye to the wonderful staff. The beach club is fun, almost as enjoyable as the bus ride through town to get there. The rooms are beautiful and being up in the jungle is a completely different take on the all inclusive I would recommend everyone to try it at least once. Not to mention its always nice coming back from an all inclusive dropping a few pounds ( the good way ;) ) Johan the entertainment coordinator (manager) was amazing and very helpful with everything, 10/10 would come back to this resort.

Beautiful resort in the mountains

Off season, quiet up in the mountain was definitely the perfect choice for us for a 9 days of sunshine and warmth to break the long winter that wont end. Being already acquainted with the type of establishments and services offered by Grand Serenis, it was a simple and easy decision. Now perhaps the key word here is off-season (April). It is mostly an adult only resort so you kids may not have the same fun, there is however a kid pool and that is where the activities happen. Very quiet resort located approx. 35km from Puerto Vallarta, 25-30km from Sayulita and the closest towns are Bucerías and off course La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Although away from the beach the hotel offers free transportation to and from the beach Eva Mandarina every 30min starting at 1000am. Landscaping is maintained daily and the rooms are kept clean. You can walk to the restaurant area, however if you don’t like walking up-hill there is transportation offered just ask the bell boy of your hotel, ours was Steve and he was fantastic, very helpful every-time we had a question, very friendly,he would even come say hello at the pool once in a while. The transportation within the resort is fast, Luis was also there within minutes if we needed him and again, very friendly and well mannered, always smiling and go above and beyond. We used the adult pool uphill, the view was fantastic, the waiters friendly and the pool guy Jose, really made us feel at home, always made sure we were comfy, made sure we had coffee brought to us at the pool in the morning, always smiling and up-keeping the place, making sure everyone had dry towels during the day, he would even bring little pillows! Always in a good mood he carried himself with pride and did his job above and beyond expectations. We’ve only enjoyed 1 restaurant which was the morning buffet at the Huanacaxtle restaurant and it is definitely where the best restaurant waiting staff was as well, Jesamyn was fast and had a good memory for names and what her customers typically ordered for morning coffees, always smiling and ready to help in any way she could, very well mannered and polite lady. Now i’ve given the flowers, here comes the flower pot... The room service order desk was extremely rude, and without giving description of the food which was served, it was not good at all. The website advertised 4 A la carte restaurants and 1 Mexican fiesta buffet. Its important to know that only 1 a la carte restaurant is open per night, A la carte restaurant need to be reserved 1 day before, so it may take a couple or few days to access a la carte dining, but in all honesty thats not a big lost, again the food was a joke, lets just say; not your regular fine dining offered by Grand Serenis, very disappointing in this angle of the trip. But food would not let our trip get ruined, therefore we got to tour around outside the resort and found some little gems of restaurants along the way, but that is a whole new review . All and all we had a great time, met fantastic people and despite the resort food situation it was still a great holiday.

Mother and daughter vacation.

We had an exceptional week and found the staff very attentive. Celso-Meseno at the Adult Pool area would always have our drinks ready by the time we had selected our pool chairs without us asking. Very impressive! The weather was great and we didn't mind the walking. Every day was leg day. The bus to the beach was exciting and we enjoyed the Sunday Market Place at the Marina. The food was not GREAT but decent. Entertainment was fun in the evenings. We recommend this resort and will visit again.
