My husband and I have just returned from Holidaying at this resort. The hotel is very clean, the staff friendly and the food is excellent. Our time there, was made special by the services of Luis in the Hemingway bar who was very efficient and knew his job well, but especial thanks must go to Sandra in customer services, who went “above and beyond” to make our Anniversary celebrations special and memorable.

Very good holiday

The resort was about 1 hour on the coach from the airport at Cancun. The hotel is described as a large resort, which was a concern as we didnt want to feel just another number. However this was not the case, and although there were many guests we never felt like it was fight to get seating at meal times or sun beds at all. Great setting next to its own private beach, with the palm trees right up to the sea on a white beach. There was an issue with seaweed washing it was not possible to swim in the sea on that section. There was a full time team of men clearing up throughout the day. This did not effect our stay and I gather it was not usually as bad as this. There was lots to do and numerous a la carte resturants as well as the self service. food was good. Evening entertainment was of high quality and for all ages. In summary this one one of best ever holidays!

What an amazing place!

So first of all this was our first trip to Mexico and unfortunately we had a tonnne of misconceptions that were influenced by main stream media and movies. How wrong we were! Mexico is such an amazing country full of amazing people. We chose to stay in the Grand Palladium and were certainly not disappointed. The location right in the middle of what is essentially a real jungle is amazing. There are animals everywhere so on your walks to the restaurant or to the beach you will always see something amazing (although we didn't manage to see any monkeys sadly). As well at this the hotel itself and Mexico in general is so committed to the conservation of the environment. The rooms were lovely, they made every effort to fulfil any request we had and have a lovely top floor room in the villa overlooking the jungle (an amazing view for sunrise), the rooms were clean and comfortable as well with a free minibar. The staff are the best part of this entire hotel, no matter who you talk to they are all so polite and friendly. Each member of staff will do whatever they can to make your experience better. The food is tasty and varied with a huge range of restaurants to go to, we stayed for 10 nights and went to a different place every night and still didn't go to them all! The spa is just wonderful. I went twice and the massages as well as the wet area are just so calming you can feel the stress melting away. We did have a little problem with some people that were making far too much noise in the wet area and on mentioning this the hotel offered us a free day at the spa to enjoy the wet area properly. Despite the rain on the first few days there the hotel was prepared with little activities in the lobby and endless room service (which is free except for some items) available. A few negative points though. 1. For the first three days of our holiday it rained, whilst of course this wasn't the hotels fault the little buggies that drive people around from lobby to rooms didn't really stop at all, the ones that were reserved for either members or TRS were totally empty a lot of the time yet were unwilling to drop us at the lobby (in the direction there were going) for our dinner meaning we just ended up having to get wet. 2. The buffet food is always just a little bit too cold. I am not sure why but its just a little bit unsatisfying to have lukewarm food as opposed to hot or warm food. 3. The hotel really needs to keep a standard for quiet areas, we had a couple of problems with guests getting very noisy and drunk in quiet areas of the hotel and the staff not doing anything about it which did somewhat ruin the point of going to these dedicated relaxing places. Overall however I have to say that it is an amazing hotel with amazing people. At no point was any request too much or too difficult. Every member of staff was so happy to help and truly make our visit fantastic. A few tips for the hotel, if you are a couple go to the secret pool. The bar there is brilliant and generally is lovely and quiet for you to just relax. Make sure you visit the Church, its a lovely, open church that is easy to miss but the whole thing is just beautiful. Finally don't have any food in your bag when you go to the pool or the beach. The animals in the surrounding jungle are adorable and very cheeky and will try to steal it! Finally I just want to mention one staff member in particular. Daniel at the Secret pool bar is just brilliant! So friendly, helpful and nice, always bringing us drinks with a smile and just truly top class service. Overall I would say that there are some things that the hotel needs to take a look at but not a single one overshadowed the fantastic experience we had. I think we will however need to try out the TRS side next time though.

I just went to Palladium for the 5th time and it was amazing! This place keeps getting better, they add so many fun events and is a perfect vacation spot. We love POP who make our stay so much fun every time. This time we met Alan Francesco who was a new team member but was so amazingly friendly and helpful. He talked to us everyday and encouraged us to dance, play activities and informed us about the shows and made our stay so much more fun. Thank you Alan, you made our trip perfect and we will come back again and again!

It just keeps getting better and better

We just returned from our sixth visit to the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya resort. We stayed on the Kantenah side of the resort and just loved the location. It is closer to the beach and is more quiet then other parts of the resort. The ala crate restaurants were top notch. We didn't have a meal we didn't like at them. The breakfast and lunch buffets were good and we never had a difficult time finding something we wanted to eat. The dinner buffet on the Colonial/Kantenah side was lacking though. We found the food over cooked and lukewarm. However since we had no problem getting into the ala cartel restaurants we didn't consider that a big deal. The staff was amazing. We never passed a member of the staff that didn't say hello with a smile on their face. Everyone was willing to help and make your trip a good one. We took advantage of being able to use the White Sands part of the resort too. We never were bored. There was always a different pool, bar or part of the beach to try. We were concerned before going that we could no longer use the salt water pool because it is now part of the TRS section. But once we got there we found we didn't miss it. For returning guests don't let that stop you from coming back. With the addition of TRS we actually found the service and food benefited at the other resorts. Everything was better then it ever has been. We would recommend this resort without hesitation.
