Not for you if you are a light sleeper

Overall I would give a very good review. Most of the negative was minor but the noise if we had a villa anywhere near the center of the resort would have been a disaster for any light sleeper. If you look at the map of the layout of the resort the proximity of the theater and clubs is obvious. We had a Villa far away from the center and did not hear the music/partying. The sound proofing was enough that, for example, we could not hear the loud frogs at night, which are actually beautiful to hear outside. We could hear every single of the other 44 doors slam in our villa after we went to bed and before we got up. The villas have a bad acoustical design, being open in the middle to every floor- you hear even a whisper as your neighbors are coming and going. Outside there are nice covered walkways and shuttles but since these service every villa you have people making noise that you cannot escape. The wi-fi was terrible for my android. I had all the correct settings but could only receive my emails on one day. My wife had better luck with her i phone. There is no computer room and the front desk won't let you use theirs. Pillows were too big and heavy. The floors, when wet are very slippery, especially in the large showers. The resort refused to do anything when we asked for a bath mat. My brother had to go into town in a taxi to buy one for my elderly mother. I found the water in both the pools and the ocean a bit too warm and not refreshing considering the 30 degree celcius heat feels like 40 in Jamaica.(this was in April) Compared to 3 equivalent resorts in Mexico I have been to I found the food substantially better, staff more friendly and spoke english almost perfectly, Jamaica is far more lush and green. Very interesting bus ride to the airport. The snorkeling was ok. Beautiful variety of fish but they are all small.

Just returned from a 2 week stay and though it was very good overall, there was a few negatives which would stop me from returning. The room was very good, though the tv had no signal which meant a call to reception to sort it,which they did within 10 mins, but having to call them once or twice a day became a pain. There was a stench at villas 24/25 due to the open drain,so much so that one of the couples who arrived with us asked to be moved....there is a small swimming pool in between those villas which can`t have been pleasant. The food in the buffet was very good, particularly the breakfast...the themed restaurants were also very good with the Indian and Italian our favourites. The pool is big and a nice cool temp, but the noise gets annoying.....the only peace you get is from 7.30am til 8.45am when the loud music starts, the same 10 songs are played over and over and over all day long which is really annoying...then you`ve got music from the fitness crew plus whatever band may be playing by the pool bar....from 7.30am a fella walks around the pool area with a big noisey blower...give him a big soft brush instead....the grass needs to be cut but twice they started right next to the pool area from 8am with strimmers(during our peaceful time) leave it til later in the day when everything else is going on and it will be less intrusive....we moved to the small beach for a couple of days for some peace, but prefer the comfort of getting in the pool to cool off....take the speakers out of the pool area bushes and give people a quiet area...we`re not all 18 year old head bangers. The stage shows and acts at the infinity bar were very good.....we went to Bob Marley`s house in Kingston and to the blue mountain coffee plantation which was a very good day out....we also went to Negril 7 mile beach and Ricks cafe....our rep (Hyacinth) warned us all off from doing the jumps at the cafe as it was very dangerous, which was poor from her...i did both jumps which was a buzz and would recommend anyone to have a go. Overall the hotel was very good as was the food and the staff are so friendly.....not being able to relax in peace by the pool was a major negative

WOW WOW WOW, Just phenomenal. Where to start, as soon as we arrived at the hotel we were offered rum punch, Wahoo. The check in process was smooth, efficient and informative. We were driven to our room, and we had the most beautiful sea view - perfect for watching the sun set! seconds after we arrived in our room there was a knock at the door, when we answered there was a waiter greeting us with a smile and chocolates - perfect little treat! The beds were mega comfy and the pillows were heavenly. The food was incredible! I can absolutely say we never had one bad meal when we were there, truly amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff and we were always greeted in a friendly manor. I want to give a special shout out to a few of my favourite members of the team. Hyacinth our TUI rep did a magnificent job in making us feel welcome and booking all of our wonderful trips! If you're looking for some fun in Jamaica, Raymond and Colourz, both part of the entertainment team, are your guys! They were truly amazing, getting us all up to dance and play games on the beach and they certainly play their part in getting you to relax and drink plenty of Rum and Tequila while you're there! Our holiday would not have been the same without them both - A Big Thank You to them! This hotel and holiday really was amazing, a big Thank You to all the staff for making our time here so special!

My boyfriend, now fiance, came to this resort last year and fell in love. We came back this year together. I have to say, this resort is amazing. From the aesthetics to amenities offered, they have something for everyone. What really made our trip though, was the wonderful and friendly staff. One in particular, Sheldon McIntosh, one of the landscapers, really made our trip. He was friendly, polite, and helped us when we stopped to ask him for advice. We would often walk out of our way just to have a chat with him. Thank you Sheldon for making our trip that much more enjoyable. Hope to see you next year buddy!
