My husband and I just came back from 7 nights 30 Sept to 7th Oct 2018. We had the Sian Ka'an room,, which we were upgraded to ,, was room 533 on 5th Floor with plunge pool. Room was clean, small and for sure could use some updating,, a bit tired,,,We then were upgrade to 9th floor room 928 which was newer floor, and much larger room,, We had a larger balcony with whirlpool our view was also lagoon view and oceanview. Very nice,, The only thing again because of heavy rains the water poured in through the windows and down the wall, Advised Concierge and advised that this should be fixed but am sure it will not as would have to do something as windows did not close properly. The breakfast buffet was not appealing at all,, bacon was over cooked sausage was not even able to cut,, egg and omelet bar was ok,,, and pasties,, and orange juice. My favorite was Coffee and Me plus the Box.. I had pre booked our specialty dinner for the Black Hole before we arrived back in August, was never told that this was closed due to low season,, But hotel made reservations for us at Grand Oasis Pyramid and paid for our taxi there and back, which was awesome for them... We ate also at Benezuza restaurant which was awesome for sure..Careys restaurant our first experience was not good one,, I ordered steak which was awesome but my husband ordered the hamburger and said please no pickles ,, and corn on the cob,, we were never asked if we wanted drinks before,, When they brought his meal it had pickles on it,, and the corn on the cob was like maybe 1 inch length a real joke,,,When they brought back his food it had no caramelize onions on it the cheese was not even melted,, he was furious ,we then told matr'de .. The staff is awesome and always want to please,,,Because of low season some things were closed like 2 restaurants ,, which i feel we should have been made aware.. The dinner show Red Carbaret was wonderful. overall was an ok place, would not go back .. The pools need some work .. but property was very clean,,, service on beach was not very good,,, The chic restaurant on the beach was ok but funny how you order onion rings and get 3 ,,, We did the moonlight spa treatment which was totally worth it.. The manger Valentina was total awesome and all staff in Concierge room was great.. Overall I think maybe if the hotel was not on slow season would have had a better experience...Also the beach was not great had red flag up for whole week ...

Excellent vacation

We just returned from a seven day vacation at the Grand Oasis Sens in Cancun. The lobby is spectacular, everything is clean and sparkly. The rooms were slightly worn as well as some areas around the pools which is to be expected after a busy season but while we were there there was obviously efforts being made to fix the problem areas. The beach was beautiful. But the best part of this resort was the staff. The restaurants that we visited had the greatest, friendliest people to assist us. There was Sylvestre and Ignacio and Neri (y) and they made the trip so spectacular that we were very sad to say goodbye. Mauricio in the spa was a delight and such a help as well. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning to the Oasis.

It was worth to upgrade our room to Sian Ka’an room. It was all inclusive deal during slow season. We stayed for 8 days, luckily the weather was mostly sunny, few thunderstorms early in the morning or middle in the night. All staffs were very friendly and courteous and kind. Unfortunately, Those two sushi restaurants ( makitaco, Sakura) were closed due to slow season which is understandable but then again, the price should be cheaper in my opinion. They had limited choice of alcohol beverage and food. We had a swordfish dish at Careyes, it was awfully chewy fish dish I have ever had. seemed like they pre cooked and then microwaved it again.. I am working in the restaurant business field, that dish was shameful.. I highly recommend the Banezuza Restaurant. It was also included in our deal, I had fantastic experience at this high class restaurant. Every single course was amazing! This hotel needs some facility updates here and there due to weariness. Our room had some leakage from rain. And the bathroom doesn’t have a exhaustion fan. The room service was A Okay with the very limited menu selection and poor quality of food. (Breakfast menu is okay). All in all, I have a conclusion of thought that you get what you pay for. The dinner show - Red Cabaret - was unexpected surprising dinner event. Food was good, too.

My girlfriend and I just arrived home 2 days ago from our week stay at the Grand Oasis Sens. All in all it was most certainly a trip to remember. The staff here are all great with their hospitality services. One complaint from the staff...this being that we were told we would get a free dinner at their “extra pay” restaurant, yet once we decided to go and book a reservation the manager came and told us we had to pay. So this was a lie and it really upset us. The food was fantastic for what restaurants were actually open. But a few complaints from what was advertised. This resort had 12 restaurants available but this was not the case as 4 of them we’re not opened or available at anytime. Also the ones that were opened had different hours so your really only had 1-2 available options for your certain meals. Upon our arrival in our ocean view room our safe was not working and the fire alarm would not stop beeping. Once the maintenance personnel came to fix it, he just simply rolled the batteries and went on his way....great way to secure my confidence that our very important personal belongings will be safe with dead batteries. Obviously our safe opened once again the second day and after calling the same solution was what we were given. As for the occupancy; there was very little guests staying while we were there. Which sure isn’t always a bad thing, but this resort represents themselves as a party and more of fun atmosphere which is hard to pull off at 25% occupancy. All in all I will say the resort itself is very nice. I would only recommend to go here during their busy season. My girlfriend and I still did enjoy our stay and spent most of our time at the main pool which is super big and awesome with a swim up bar. Probably would not return to this resort due to the restaurants being closed and the few issues we ran into. We had friends that were staying in a few other resorts down from us and told us it was very busy and exceptional so we will be bringing our business elsewhere for our next Cancun stay. Still like to thank the staff from Grand Oasis Sens because we had an awesome trip! My recommendation is to go downtown to enjoy the nightlife and get the real authentic Mexican feel. It’s what made our trip ever so awesome.
