Good time
Jan 27 2019
My son and his family,my wife and myself went on January 16.Every thing went smoothly. The flight on Frontier ,our first with this airline, was pleasant and we were pleased. We would use this airline again. Our grandson was disappointed that the Michael Jackson show was no longer being performed, however, overall, we were pleased with the hotel and would go again. We plan all of our Mexico vacations with Apple and, once again we were quite happy with the service we received from this company.

We spent seven days and six nights at the Grand Oasis Palm. The best part of the hotel (aside from its location and weather) is the friendly, hospitable staff. The restaurants are delicious, particularly The White Box and Maki Taco!

Hotel was ok, the combination of two hotels with small pool areas and small restaurants is not great. It would have been a great vacation except for a few things. As I stated the restaurants were small and you had to weight in line to be seated. Couldn't get a reservation at one of the restaurants because they only took reservations at 4:00 pm. And within 5 minutes the capacity was taken. They elevators wee horrible and you had to wait it seemed like hours for the elevator. Took the stairs from the room most of the time. I loved our trip to Cancun but would definitely stay at an different hotel. Room and view were amazing. They also did not have balconies

They ruined our wedding!!
Apr 18 2017
Our wedding was a complete nightmare. We visit MX every year and this was by far the worst travel experience in my life. 2 day’s into our trip I realized we were not receiving certain perks that we had purchased with our $2,300 US Dollar wedding package (Not including the thousands spent on air fare and hotel). We spoke to concierge and were told that the wedding department never informed the resort of our wedding (2 days before our wedding). Most of the 33 items listed in our wedding package did not exist or simply didn’t happen. We were totally bait and switched upon arrival. We were treated TERRIBLE by the staff. No one would allow us to speak to a manager the entire stay. The room was small and smelled of mildew. I chose this resort because it was “family friendly” for the flower girl. We all left vomiting for days with a terrible viral stomach infection. Wedding Package: · AUTO Smart for the wedding.* · VIP Bracelet for wedding couple. DOES NOT EXIST · Private VIP Check-in for wedding couple. DID NOT GET · Room Upgrade.* DOES NOT EXIST · Welcome cocktail during check in. DID NOT GET · Wedding Romance Concierge. Elevators were horrible, always getting stuck. Very slow could not Elevators were horrible! Always getting stuck! Very slow could not accommodate guest, always a line. We found only 2 restraints to eat, the others were not very good. The beach with hammocks were great, pools were great! We still had a great time!! The worst was the elevators. So if u are on low level would not be bad for the price!!

The hotel was OK. Food was only fair. While at the beach or pool, was hard to find a server to take our drink orders. The staff was not as friendly as I would have hoped. I would probably not go back to this hotel in the future. Was OK for the price.

Telemarketers at the lobby
Jul 11 2016
Telemarketers at the lobby pretend to be hotel concierge and their uniforms doesn't say the hotels name. They offer hotel free packages but the truth it's a timeshare presentation. They keep on asking us every morning at the lobby and it's very annoying. They are like those telemarketers at Cancun airport.

Good service

Only complaint is the elevator. Its so small and can only fit four people. It stops at almost every floor. So you have to wait another 5-10 mins for the next one.

We tried to make the best of it.
Jan 30 2016
We were pretty disappointed in this resort. It seemed like the very basic stuff was included and if you wanted anything extra it was for more money. The beach sucked. IT was only .5 miles long and from the edge of the resort to the water edge was about 150 feet. The food was okay there just wasn't enough of it. We were always hungry. The rooms were so noisy that we didn't sleep for the 4 nights we were there. Our concierge was very uninformed about what was and wasn't offered as part of the all inclusive package. We will never go back to this resort.

Our pool waiter, Hervin, was exceptional. He was attentive and humerous. Careyes Restaurant was wonderful! Excellent food by Chef Elias, and the service by Pablo, Marcos, Santos and Julian was unbelievable. Don't miss this restaurant! The White Box restaurant was fun and different. Chef Abraham made great food and Tiare, Gaby, Raquel, Russell, Ignacio and Nixe gave us great service. An unusual, fun and good place to eat. The food at this resort made it a very special vacation.

We just got back from another great stay at Grand Oasis Palm!! We have been here a dozen times and are looking forward to number 13! Our vacation begins with a special man, Pedro Sinus. Pedro always greets us with a big, warm, welcoming hug! He arranges transportation, he sees to it that we are very well taken care of, and is always eager to help us in any capacity!! We were upgraded to a ground level room with our own patio, which we loved! We had champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting in our room, along with plenty of waters and sodas in the mini-fridge! The weather was not great the first 3 days, but there was games and entertainment if you wanted it at the Sports Bar. We love the buffet for dinner, and Leonel Mesero was our fabulous waiter most nights! He had a wine ready for me before I even sat down!!! The White Box was a fun change from the Buffett. We felt so special there, they really catered to us! When the sun is out we hit the beach, and Laura always takes such good care of us there. She checks and brings us drinks all day long!! Early evening, the Cantina is where we go to listen to live music every evening, and the bartenders there were super to us! There is no better bang for your buck anywhere in Cancun!!

Just got back from a quick 7 day trip, loved cancun and the beaches at this resort were just great. This is more of a family spot, however the beach staff and sports bar made our stay there worth it. Shout out to Arturo, Dave and Felipe if you are looking for honest and fun locals look for these guys we had a lot of laughs playing volley and other activities these guys line up!

Wonderful all inclusive

I spent 5 days at this facility in February 2019. I selected it because it was in Cancun, beach side, and had multiple restaurants to choose. from. The hotel was very accommodating of our need for 2 beds in the room and minimal walking, as I'm handicapped. They put us in a ground level room with a very pleasant patio. There was a bottle of wine waiting and a refrigerator stocked with water and beer. We enjoyed the "quiet area" for adults only as we had Hervino for our waiter. Hervino was a delightful, attentive gentleman. He found us a place to sit, made sure we were in the shade, and kept our drinks flowing. He had a wonderful sense of humor. One day we dropped a game piece of a game we were playing and he found it when cleaning and gave it to us the following day. Hervino deserves recognition and reward for his work. One of the best parts of our trip was the wonderful food. I highly recommend Careyes, White Box, and La Bamba as recommendations to enjoy while visiting there. You will not be disappointed. Many times at all inclusive resorts the aforementioned restaurants would have only been available for an additional price. Gratefully, they each were part of our package.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Wed Feb 06 04:24:02 EST 2019
Hi just recently back from the Grand Oasis Palm, and have to say it’s the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a few bad one but none quite like this. First off the hotel room was very small and damp, the bathroom was full of damp, with the all the plaster on the ceiling falling down, the taps and shower head were terrible, with water spraying out everywhere! Then there is the restaurants, there are three buffet restaurants, in which I would not feed the food they serve to my dog, it’s that bad, I had severe sickness and diarrhea for three days thanks to the food they serve! And the service was just as bad! We were seated at a table only to find out after going up to pick some salad, that they gave our table to another couple, doing this two times in one night. La Bamba restaurant was just as bad you had to que outside, unless you knew one of the staff then you just walked straight in and got a table, then once inside you waited nearly an hour just for a drink! To be honest the only decent restaurant in the place was the white box. The grounds were fairly good but to call it a family resort they allow drug sellers to walk up and down the beach selling drugs. Inside the hotel everything was falling apart, when it rained water was coming in through all the lights. On our third day we were on the beach when a woman from the spa came offering a package, which my wife wanted to do, so I went to our room to collect some money and payed for two packages, which she gave me a ticket. We went to the spa that night and I gave the ticket and we enjoyed the use of the spa plus a massage. Then when we come to check out we find that not only had I payed cash for the spa they had charged it to our room. And because I didn’t have the ticket which I handed in to the spa we have ended up paying twice, and every time I asked to speak with the manager I was just fobbed off! And we where not the only one in this situation, they was at least two other couples that got charged twice for the spa, plus a couple who went without water for 7hours so the hotel sent some champagne and fruite to their room, then charged them for it! The people in the hotel are just thieves and con merchants!! Will never stay in an oasis hotel again and would advise everyone else to stay away!
