They did not honor my reservation ... put me in a cheaper room that needed repairs but charged me incorrectly.

Horrible experience at the Hilo Hilton. Hotel needs a lot of work! Service people are very helpful but management is not very nice. They did not have the room I had confirmed months in advance put in a room that needs repairs. My husband actually got hit in the head by falling hallway tile.

Beautiful Hotel, Great Service

Not knowing anything about weather patterns of the Big Island, I booked through Costco Travel, a Hilton property, as Im a Hilton employee (DoubleTree) here on the mainland. I was a bit bummed as our trip came up, when all I was hearing was that Hilo is the rainy side, and most tourist activities are on the other side. When we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly greeted by the valet parking attendants, and from there on out, were treated great by all employees we came into contact with, especially in the breakfast restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and the views were spectacular outside our balcony. We did make day trips all over the main island when the days were rainy, however I'm so glad we stayed in Hilo, as I dont think people realize how much it has to offer! We went on so many adventures around the area that we probably wouldn't have gone to if we stayed on the other side of the island; from the Hilo Farmers Market, to Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls and the Botanical Gardens, we loved them all! Our hotel was so nice to come back to at the end of the day! Thanks for the wonderful time! Mahalo! We will be back.

Great Hotel!!

Stayed 3 days in November. Grand Naniloa is located on a beautiful bay. The lobby is modern, airy and extremely welcoming. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. We were upgraded to a oceanview room with amazing views of the property and bay. We are Hilton Honors Gold Member so we received breakfast vouchers for continental breakfast(can upgrade to full buffet 10$), was your average breakfast. The grounds are meticulously maintained, with a beautifully integrated swimming pool/rocking coast swimming areas. So much to do within driving distance. Will be staying here again!

Very good location with super views

We stayed several nights here and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and clean with good wi-fi. A good 25 minutes walk into town with plenty of choice of places to eat with the added bonus of the general store right next door which did great breakfast bagels. The banyan trees on the main drive outside the hotel were awesome and provided an entertaining 'spot the name of the 1920's film stars'. A really enjoyable stay

The last time I stayed at the Naniloa was almost 13 years ago and my what an improvement this time around! When I called to find out if they have a Kama'aina rate they even spoke in 'olelo Hawai'i. We arrived and checked in early at about 11am and surprisingly our room was ready. They greeted us with fresh warm cookies (so Ono) and bottled water. The lobby and the whole hotel itself is hula theme, which I absolutely adored! All the workers there were very kind and accommodating. Room was clean and perfect size for myself, my husband and two babies. TV had all channels plus HBO. I definitely will be back!
