Restful 2018 winter vacation
Mar 11 2018
Have been to DR for the last 10 years Have stayed at Bahia Principe 9 years. The staff and over all quality of the hotel and staff .. Excellent!! However I have noticed changes w/ the table wine, beverage mixers and food detail, variety and quality. Our room was changed immediately when we discovered a toilet issue, dripping ac and location not being ideal for relaxation. Evening entertainment was wonderful. Oh, ground transportation airport to resort was too too long. First on the bus and last off, 1 1/2 hrs later!! Next time we,ll take a taxi for $40. We just made lunch in the dining room. Overall a relaxing winter get away.

Beautiful resort.
Feb 27 2018
Beautiful resort, little bigger than expected so a little crowded. Pools and beach were well kept. Food was good but typical. The staff was kind. I thought maybe they would have more entertainment at main pool with games and crowd activities. Dance staff tried to encourage dancing in the evening which was great. Several issues with keycards not working so last 3 days we left room door ajar so we wouldn't waste time running back and forth to front desk. Love PUNTA CANA

Huge Hotel- lots to do and see
Jan 26 2018
The resort grounds were relaxing, well maintained, and large. There are several pools- 7 different lobbies and sections with an extended golf cart like bus taking you where you need to go. There is a buffet right on the beach . . . a few large pools throughout the resort. The food is good- some items better than others- but all in all an excellent value. The staff was kind, very busy, but all needs were met. There is nightly entertainment and information on attractions outside of the resort.

Our room
Jan 25 2018
The air conditioning in the room was not Cold. We reported it to the front desk but there was no change. There were so many mosquitos in the room that we got hit up each night. The room had a urine smell and the bedding smelled Liked dirty laundry.

The drink were very watered down and not worth it. The staff seemed not very happy and 3 times at the Buffett I was sorted a a dirty table with no fork spoon or knife. No one came over to clean and I had to go find the person to get a fork so I could eat. The Italian place was awesome!!!! The only highlight of the food.

We had a very pleasurable stay at this hotel. Everyone was really friendly with our kids and us. The food and drinks was great. The nightly entertainment for kids were enjoyable, as well as the music the adults can dance to. The pool area was very clean and the resort grounds was well maintained everyday! Every worker we passed by said hi and had a pleasant smile. Overall our experience was great and wil definitely go back again!

I stayed at Grand Bahai Principe Bavaro for a week all inclusive. There are lots of restaurant choices at this large property and the food is great in all of them, including the buffet. The buffet has different theme nights so their is variety in the food. During the day there is a lot to do. The entertainment staff are hilarious! There are always activities to participate in if you care to but watching is just as entertaining. I especially loved the morning yoga/stretch classes and the aqua gym classes in the pool which were led by NRG2GO certified instructors in conjunction with the entertainment staff. I really loved to stay active while on vacation. There is a good gym on site as well. The rooms are very spacious with a sitting area, large bathroom and bed. In my unit - building 23 - the maid was amazing. I just adored her. She really makes sure you have everything you need. If you enjoy nightlife there is always entertainment at night. Bring your bug spray though - the mosqitos can ruin a good time really fast; however, it is cool enough in the evening to wear long pants and that would solve the problem too. I would definitely come back to this resort. It's great for couples, families, and even people travelling alone.

Somewhat Disappointing

Hotel pickup went okay, the trip was around 30 min. by bus. Check in was smooth enough, and luggage was looked after by busboys. Food was very disappointing at the buffet as was the service. Waiters were very slow at replenishing wine and water. The lack of staff that spoke English was a real problem. We got lost the first night, and it took us over an hour to find someone who spoke English, and could help up find our room. It is a huge resort, and the buses worked well, but the drivers usually could not answer questions regarding information. The beach area and restaurants were packed, so we found the pools around our accommodations much more pleasurable as there were not the huge crowds. There were very few lunch options if you weren't at the beach, basically the lobby buffet is all we found. Specialty restaurants were already booked up for prime times, so make sure you book on the day of your arrival if you want to get a reservation, even then you might be unsuccessful. They had good nightly entertainment, musical performers on the patio, and nightly shows at the theatre. The 9:00 show was very entertaining and the 8:00 kids show was geared for under 6 years old. Our shuttle to the airport, on the last day, went very well. Though it wasn't horrible by any means, they do have a few areas that need improving.

This was our first all-inclusive vacation and we had a great time. Staff very pleasant and helpful but I really struggled to understand their English. this resort is huge and took a while to get use to the busing routes. Food ranged from very good (steakhouse restaurant) to satisfactory in others. Maria always had a great smile for breakfast and Santa was excellent at getting us poolside cocktails. Rooms were kept spotless by hardworking chambermaids.

Grand bahia principe bavaro - booked thru all inclusive outlet dot com

returning may 12, 2018 Booking via all inclusive outlet dot com, which I have used for many years, as their prices include airfare, transport and hotel. I also compare prices using other services and they are almost always cheaper, and go the extra step to help make changes in my transportation when needed. I have never had a problem with them. note, since I travel to this resort frequently, and the sister resorts, they make the effort to give me access to the building that are requested for my stays. Booking a la carte dinners should be done immediately after checking in, you can do this in the main lobby after picking up another drink at the bar. the location to book is on the right side of the lobby, in the open area, which is near the main buffet. Returning for my 4t trip to gbp bavaro, on may 12th 2018, which is one of my favorite resorts. transportation from the airport is provided by Amstar a reliable carrier, clean and timely transfer to the resort and airport. I have noticed that the airport and roads have improved greatly since my first trip back in 2002, back then you got off the plane onto the hot tarmac and walked to the terminal. at that time I was staying in other resorts in punta cana. now you arrive in air conditioned comfort, directly into the terminal. I pay attention to the other resorts, as the guest depart Amstar, and the gbp seems to be more upscale compared to them. also, the other travelers, that are still on the transport all say they wish they had booked here. I have had problems with a toilet not flushing and drunken guest knocking on my door in early hours of the morning. guest services had the drunk removed in less than 3 minutes, and the toilet was repaired within an hour. The buffet has over 2 hundred items to select from for each meal, dinner has different themes on varied nights to give you more choices. if you want hot food then go to eat early, as the food is just out of the cooker, and you will find a better selection from which to choose. I cannot remember a time, when there were no chairs on the beach or by the pool. maybe not exactly where I wanted to be, but that's life, the early bird get's his or her choice. the best place to stay is in the rooms adjacent to the beach, you must book early and make your request for the location. I find the shuttles arrive frequently, for transport around the resort, but if a lot of people are gathered you will have wait for the next one to arrive. my family and I love the resort, as each evening they offer something for children and later for adults, be sure to dress with light clothing and take some bug repellent. I carry a small one once sprayer and only use as necessary.
