Arrived arround 4pm the bellman got our bags and directed us to the front desk for check in. Check in was a breeze and the front desk agent was extremely nice and informative. We received a non alcoholic beverage at check in. The bellsman then backed our luggage on the train and took us to our room. Extremely nice staff. We had the basic accommodations, I later found out about a gold package not sure what more was included. Our package was all inclusive, I think they all were. We had access to meals, two dinner reservations, pool, bar, beach, and drinks. Reservations for dinner, we had two dinner reservations. It's best to do the reservation as soon as you arrive as some of the restaurants are not available. We booked the hibachi and Mexican. The hibachi was excellent, I was not expecting it to be good. The chief was entertaining and food was delicious. Santa Fe Mexican, greeting at the door with a margarita. The buffet was delicious and we could also order from the menu. Good eats The buffet situation, what I didn't like about the buffet was the schedule. If the buffet was closed on the main dinning room we had to go to the beach for a snack. If the beach was closed back to the main dinning room. Keep in mind the place is huge, it's inconvenient to go back and forward. The food was typical all inclusive, lots of options so there is something for everyone. I always find a dish and stick to it. Same with drinks, I find one or two and stick with them. We booked excursion onsite Grounds were absolutely gorgeous! Staff were a delight! Overall a great stay!

we visited the Bahia complex staying at the principe bavaro in july 2018. the room we got was huge and very well presented. everything worked and was vey clean. the cleaning staff are very pleasant and if you leave them a few dollars each morning the coffee and water are left for you in abundance aswell as the fridge stock full every day. the air con was a god send and worked really well in the 32c temperature. the complex is very clean and well kept all day every day. six pools to choose from and bars at each one with food at all the pools available all day if you want it. there are 7 themed restaurants to choose from. brilliant stay. I would go back oh and private beach was stunning.

Well where to begin,1st of all, if you cant speak spanish, you definately will have a problem. Most visitors speak spanish so the music and entertainment will be 99% spanish.I spoke with the management and he said they will revisit that department.BE AWARE OF TIME SHARE ppl, they are everywhere trying to solictate you. The beach is ok but not the water(seaweed is a forever problem thats nature) Well here goes, pool is always great for a swim, food is always available,SERVICE IS PROMPT and reliable....bars are everywhere..Make sure you visit the a la carte restaurants for dinner.IF for any reason you feel unjustified......make a complaint, it will be dealt with. There are other hotels nearby where you may share ammenities, if you have time. All in all me and my gf had a wonderful time.

Spent a week at the resort, overall we had a good time. There 4 or more resorts on the same property, so its huge. The lobby is pretty, there are 2 pools. If you want to relax by the pool I suggest going to the smaller one, there's less people and the water is warmer than the bigger one. The food at the buffet is so-so, they have the same selection every day/night. There were times when the food especially the meats were cold during the dinner. The Italian restaurant is pretty good. The nightly entertainment is great. There were shows and also entertainment in the lobby. As with every other resort they have tours you can take. Our only complaint was the rooms, the furniture is out dated. There are a lot of mosquitos, we noticed house keeping leaves the doors open when they cleaning. There aren't enough electrical outlets to charge your phones, we had to unplug the coffee machine and the blow dryer so we can use the outlets. They don't give enough towels, and the towels are rough. In one of the rooms we had the towels and the bedspread didn't look clean. The lighting in the room is terrible, they might as well not have any lights. Also remember your room numbers!!..All the buildings look the same. Instead of having numbers on the buildings they have them on the side were it's not visible. P.s. The blow dryer had some gunk stuck to the back, it can easily start a fire.
