Most beautiful hotel I have ever seen.

This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. Even the lobby will take your breath away. It’s a pleasure to just sit there. The grounds are stunning. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The hotel is in the middle of the rain forest so no matter where you look you see beauty.

“Hotel in horrible conditions & unfriendly stuff - not at all worth it‘s money”

We red all the great reviews here so we were looking forward to our stay. But the hotel is way beyond it‘s potential! Everyting is in a really bad state (just to mention some examples: on the pool toilet a part of the ceiling lays on the floor, the public areas are not clean and everything smells a little scruffy). When we wanted to have dinner they told us that the main restaurant is not opened as it‘s not worth it for that small amount of guests and so they served dinner in the dark bar!! Dinner was only fast food and to make it even worse everything was super pricy. There are no other options for dinner closeby so we decided to drive 20 min only not to have to have dinner in the hotel. All the stuff was also not that frindly and when we checked out at 11am asking for towels to stay some more hours at the pool we were told that it‘s okay if we stay 2 more hourse but please not longer, as we are not staying one more night?! Many people are booking the hotel for it‘s activities but when we were there half of them were not offered and the rest was overpriced. All in all this hotel is not worth it‘s money! We were happy to go after only one night as we felt not welcomed and riped off! (and we are not that kind of luxury travellers who are very picky) 눇It‘s an awesome location and with more effort and will it might be a great hotel

Just off of the Panama canal this resort is incredible, the location is unbelievable. You can see locals in their small canoe type boats and large ocean liners is the same day. The food is wonderful and the service excellent. We hope all enjoy their stay as much as we did.

Beautiful location to be with nature

The Gamboa Rainforest Resort is the perfect place to get away from it all and commune with nature. Our room had a view of the Chagres River, and each morning and evening we sat on our balcony enjoying the sounds of the local birds wakening or settling in for the night. Our room was quite comfortable and clean. We had he opportunity to enjoy a boat tour and a long bird and monkey walk through the Gamboa Pipeline trail. The food at the buffet is overpriced and not anything exciting. Breakfast was better if you took advantage of the made to order omelets and the fresh fruit. We ended mostly eating at the Monkey Bar where food was a bit more reasonable and palatable. The wait staff needs customer service training as they never come back to check on you or see if you need anything else. The pool outside was clean and welcoming on a hot day. This is not a luxury eco resort, and the food options, especially off season, are pathetically few, uninteresting, and overpriced. My suggestion is to bring some food and put it in the refregerator in the room. But if you want to go someplace that has natural beauty and take a slow pace, it is worth the trip. I would also say that Angel, at the front door was really friendly, and most of the people at the front desk helpful. And remember, you are in a rain forest. It is rainy, it is damp, and there will be some mud and mold. We did see a lot of people working on the property and the grounds were beautiful. So enjoy it, and realize that you are paying very reasonable prices for a special spot on this planet.

Horrible food, not cooked right, frozen fries with no taste. We all had a stomach ache later, Tao beers were flat, not one person happy about their food. Nice views but don’t eat there! Not worth the stomach ache
