Our stay was fantastic. We stayed on the concierge floor. HIGHLY recommend. Staff was courteous and so helpful. Food was delicious. The only negative was that our floor was not renovated yet, so the rooms were a little worn. I know they will be renovated soon. That did not impact our stay. Can't wait to go back.

Apple vacations couldn’t even get my simple booking right

Great hotel, extremely clean and 5 star service. I wish I could say the same about using Apple. I booked using a gift certificate. First, the prices were higher through them than booking with the hotel directly, even adding in transportation. Second, I had to call 3 months later to get the balance of my gift certificate reissued to me, which I still haven’t received. Third, I called 3 says before my trip to confirm the airport transfers. They said they had my flight info on file. When I got to the airport, no one was there holding the sign with my name as promised. My name wasn’t on the list at the desk either. I had to show them my confirmation booking and thankfully they let me on. The day before I left the island, I went to the hotel desk to confirm my shuttle and again I was not on the list. This travel service has been useless so far.

The Barker's very first Fairmont experience

Takei checked us in and did a fantastic job giving us options since our room wasn't ready upon our arrival. Martin was one of the many shuttle bus drivers we had grown fond of and gave us an excellent food reccomendation (Island Cuisine). The entire food staff was excellent especially Sasha at Ocean Club who brought us two glasses of Prosecco in celebration of our wedding anniversary! We loved the "Dark-n-very stormy" at the Gastropub and had an absolute feast at The Waterlot! Our travel agent told us a Fairmont property is the highest of standards and those expectations were met across the board.

Our stay at this hotel was fabulous. The service is top notch and the restaurants are very, very good. Everyone on the staff was friendly and willing to help in any way they could. The spa was also excellent. This was a mother/daughter trip and we couldn't ask for anything more.

A Week in Bermuda

We celebrated my husband's 80th birthday at the Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda. The hotel was excellent and well situated to tour the Island. The Concierge staff we so pleasant and helpful at all time. The fact that there was a PGA tournament in Bermuda on my husband's birthday was the "icing on the cake." We would definitely use Apple again.

We just spend 4 nights at the Fairmont Southhampton. Everything was incredible. Great rooms and views, nice exercise facility (make sure to sign up for the President's Club in advance as this gives you free use of this facility and free internet). Beach is nice but small. Good access to covered chairs and towels. The restaurants are good with a wonderful breakfast buffet and the Waterlot Inn. Would go back tonight if I could.

Overall Great Experience

The hotel was hosting an insurance company's employees and their families for the week. This made the hotel and the pool areas feel crowded, and very family friendly. My fiancee and I were looking forward to a more adult atmosphere that was a bit more quiet. Reservations for the restaurants were difficult to secure due to the number of guests associated with the insurance event. However the facilities, grounds, and service were great. The staff seemed a little burned out by the several weeks worth of hosting the insurance company's employees, but were overall very professional.

Not worth the money you spend

Some servers there are outright rude, and need some training on customer service (being in hospitality you would expect them to know and behave). Really expensive and it's not that you are eating amazing food. It's very average. Gratuity of like $11/person/night, even for a infant I found ridiculous. I've traveled around the world, but this resort especially, totally not worth it.

Our group spent six wonderful days in Bermuda with lodging at the Fairmont Southampton. The staff were all exceptional and helpful. I do not hesitate to recommend the Fairmont Southampton. It is a superior hotel - large, but offering the personal attention one might expect at a smaller hotel. Five stars!

Luxury and Safety/Traveling with Food Allergies

Planning a vacation for an extended family of 12 is never easy, add in food allergies, and it becomes frightening, as well as complicated. With a great deal of planning, and tremendous support from the hotel staff, our family of 12 celebrated a safe and luxurious Easter/Birthday at the beautiful Fairmont Southampton. I owe much gratitude to several people, who eased our way. First, Wouter Aarts, the food and beverage manager, who stayed on top of all my requests, most importantly, requests about accommodating three guests, with a variety of life-threatening food allergies. Every restaurant had our list of allergies, and was prepared for all of our special needs. Buffet breakfasts, which always cause us stress, became a joy, as Chef Sumeet Kurmi walked each of our three grandsons, (ages 16, 10, and 6) individually around the buffet, asking them what they would like for breakfast each morning. He was attentive, efficient, and beyond gracious in meeting all of our challenges. Our 10 year old grandson, with most of the allergies, is usually left sitting and waiting for food, but Sumeet started his food as soon as we arrived, so we all ate together. Bryan Place, Neville Bowman, and Ernesto Martinez, were there each morning anticipating our every need. Windows on the Sound is a beautiful dining venue, and the choices at the buffet are varied, and delicious. The service, for everyone, is elegant, making each person feel like an important guest. Waterlot, was an amazing dining experience for our birthday/Easter dinner. The food is outstanding, the service impeccable. The chef came out and spoke to our family about the food allergy challenges, and was able to accommodate our needs. The Boundary Sports Bar and Grill, was a relaxed dining experience, with big screen TVs, surrounding us with up to the minute sporting events. Robel, the manager, was very helpful, reserving our table each night, and overseeing our needs. The chef, came out each of the three nights we dined there, and made sure our meals were safe. A big thank you to Wouter Aarts, and Adam Kolar for overseeing and making certain, that every individual need we had was met. To our chefs, from Sumeet, to our Waterlot, and Boundary chefs, there is no thank you grand enough, to offer you, for keeping our children safe. You were each amazing. Of course, Sumeet, you were outstanding, having to be there for us each morning, always smiling, never rushing us, in the midst of your own hectic mornings. Hats off to an amazing staff, at an unforgettable hotel. Thank you, Fairmont Southampton Bermuda!

Not going back

I’ve never written a review like this before. Before I reveal the bad, I will say the best part of our day was the beach and eating at the WaterLot restaurant. We won’t be coming back here, however. We arrived hoping for a romantic get away and what we got was a family resort filled with children. And One small pool. The hotel walls were paper thin. Every night we heard children screaming, playing, jumping, until late in the night. We could hear entire conversations, parental arguments and people’s tvs. One afternoon at At 4:00 pm, When I asked if our room could be serviced, I got an attitude from the front desk. The bed was sunken in and left my back in bad shape— but I like firmer beds. I asked for an iron 3x before I got one the next night. We met other couples who shared our disappointment. The food was grossly overpriced. One basic drink is $18... bar food was like paying for something gourmet. There were big jugs of water on the beach you could pour into your cups, but they never offered any free bottles of water for the room. Even basic water bottles. We don’t need Fiji. At the end of our stay we payed just as much here as we did for our honeymoon and got much better treatment elsewhere. This was the one time of year that my husband can get away together and I wish we could have had a better experience. Fairmont was top rated when I searched and was a big let down and waste of our money.

Dinner at the Ocean Club was wonderful.

Dinner at the Ocean Club was wonderful, great food. Our server Stacy was the best. Warm and friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The cocktails were inventive and delightful. The view makes the whole thing magical.
