50th Anniversary Trip
Cacawaca,

By far one of the most enjoyable and relaxing trips we have ever had. Checking in was handled efficiently by the front desk with a welcome and a lengthy explanation of amenities. Decor throughout the complex was eye pleasing and the staff in all areas took pleasure in the less busy times to ensure that our needs were ably met not to omit their respective pleasantries about the island. In Oceanside restaurant Philip Herman as well as Udul, Narayan, Torrance,Antoine, Brandt and Graham among others and well as the Jasmine personnel really went that extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone contemplating a visit.

Ive been coming to this Hotel and island for 40 years. You will love it. Hotel has everything you need. Great food (Ocean Grill, Baci, Waterlot,Newport Room), private beach, full gym and spa, water sports, ferry transportation to Hamilton, moped rentals and a beautiful golf course.Ive gone with my family, with my friends and as a couple with just my wife. I also arranged a family reunion for my fathers 80 Birthday. We were a group of 20. The staff really went out of there way for him. They provided a tent for shade at the beach and a beach wheelchair.Enjoy

Fourth visit to Southampton, fifth visit highly unlikely

This is our fourth visit to Southampton Princess and definitely the worst experience compared to the previous three stays. 1. We paid over $400 per night. The view we got is depressing grey roof (the first photo). Nothing else can be seen from the balcony. So we paid extra $40 to get a better view (the second photo). Then we got a partial pink roof. Of course, we got what we paid. But if I were hotel management, I would not leave the roof depressing grey and furthermore, I would not sell such no-view room. We visit the island for the beautiful view, not for the depressing grey roof. We discussed this with a staff. S/he eventually said s/he raised this issue with the hotel management but they turned her/his proposal. This is huge mistake. 2. During our stay in early August, false fire alarm rang in the midnight. All guest had to leave the building with pajamas, and most did not carry cell phone. After 30 minutes, some guest who brought cell phone called hotel, found it's false alarm and started to return to the building. Many, especially the elders didn't carry cell phone, remained outside until hotel staff would come and confirm it's safe. Actually, hotel staff never came. 3. My wife arranged airport drop-off via phone with concierge. On the departure at the hotel entrance, it turned out the concierge did not reserve our our drop-off. Doorman blamed my wife as he thought she tried to get free ride. This completely destroyed our stay at Southampton. We will never come back to Southampton Princess.

The Fairmont has gotten rid of their President’s Club membership. With that I enjoyed the benefit of being on the 4th floor of which was members floor. Lower floors that face the beach have noise on the right side from dieseling trolleys and on the left a pool, usually full of kids. I recently called to schedule a 4th stay and was told by in-house reservations that they would not promise that floor, a floor would be assigned at check-in. I would like to know, before I get to an island, what kind of room I would have so I could be assured of little noise.
