Amazing trip!!!

I had an amazing trip to Juan Dolio. We stayed in the VIP section and it was great! Staff are very friendly and they have quite a few activities (beach volleyball, stretching, water aerobics, dance lessons etc.) to do throughout the day. Monday nights are the beach party nights where we had the most fun because the staff teaches you how to dance in the sand down by the ocean. I will definitely be returning!

Visiting from Germany and the U.S.A This is a great hotel in a small less crowded part of town Juan Dolio. We arrived and were greated by a super friendly and efficient girl called KARINA. She welcomed us and took us to the VIP guest check-in. She ensured that we felt welcome and made our arrival much more pleasant. Also another super efficient and friendly receptionist called MOLI in the VIP reception check-in was very friendly and resolved our issue with a room booking we had. She went above and beyond to make sure we had no worries during our stay. She even went to the pharmacy and brought some migraine pills for my friend. The hotel is nice, not really reccomended for children, but more for adults or couples. Great service and hospitable people. The VIP rooms are okaish.. Could be better the rooms and benefits for the VIP. Entertainment is okay, good seeing the circumstances and facilities are Fair. I would have expected a business center and more personal touches for the VIP clients. I would reccomend this hotel without a problem.

Where do I start, emotions was by far the best all inclusive I have ever been too. The overall experience was a 10/10, the workers were extremely polite and respectful. I would defiantly come back and intend on doing so in the near future. But by far the best part was the entertainment they had activities and shows and music all day and all night. Hector very nice, stood out the most to me. His outgoing personality is a real treat to the resort.

We went for a family reunion and it was great, service top notch, food excellent, rooms clean and big, bed comfortable, pool nice and clean, the events that they do are decent, i love that the hotel is not that big so you can actually enjoy everything, if you want to go to the beach is a 3 min walk from the regular room, late night snack are good also. Overall i loved it i been twice and tried both VIP side and regular and i love it. Also it location is close to santo domingo.

Great hotel and staff but beware of transat rep "GEO"

A group of us traveled to Emotions in Juan Dolio in March 2018 with air transat vacations. Everything was great except our experience with the air transat rep "Geo". The bus ride from the Punta Cana airport is quite long I would say it took us about 2.5 hours until we got to our resort. Beach - Small but beautiful!! Lots of locals trying to sell you stuff which gets annoying. If not interested just say no thank you. If not I am sure they will continue to bug you every day, multiple times a day. Lots of beach chairs, never had a problem getting a spot. Hotel - The rooms were nice and clean, quite basic but we weren't in the rooms much so didn't mind. We were in building 35 which was quite as it was the furthest away from the pools and disco. If you like to be by the pool that would be the majority of the buildings in the 20's. Staff - All the staff were wonderful! Friendly and always working hard and serving us with a smile. Entertainment - WOW! There is so much to do that is included in the resort! We did stretching on the beach, water aerobics in the ocean, dancing lessons, Spanish lessons, beach volleyball! Nightly shows were also good! Theater is outside not covered though so be sure to bring a light sweater or jacket for when it cools down. Food & drink - Always something good to eat and never was hungry. I really enjoyed the omelette station for breakfast every morning! Make sure you ask for your burger well done at the grill by the beach as my first experience it was still a bit pink. Now for the transat rep "Geo". The second day at the resort we went to meet up with him because we wanted to go on the Saona island party tour. He told us $90 US each but if there was more than two of us going that we would get a discount and it would only cost $80 US each. The next day 3 of us go to book that excursion. He told us $90 US each and I said no you told us $80 US each if we had more than two people. Then he said no I said if you book more than one excursion which is 100% a lie, that is NOT what he said. This was the only excursion we wanted to do so we ended up booking with him even though we were quite upset. We all wanted to pay separate on our credit cards but he said he couldn't do that for us. He wanted cash. I had cash so I paid and then he made my other two friends pay on one credit card together as they didn't have cash but that is not how they wanted to pay. The excursion was good, do not expect too much for the snorkeling part (VIP tour they call it). They stop out in the water on the way to the island and you have 20 min to see the fish. If you want to do more snorkeling I would ask about the Catalina Island tour as we heard that one was better. Saona island is beautiful!!! Next day two of our other friends go to book a history bus tour into the city. They each paid $70 US and he tells them to bring $20 or $30 US each to the driver (can't remember which amount). I just felt that was really fishy and didn't agree with that. That night they came back upset because the whole tour was in french and they couldn't understand anything!! You would think the rep would have told them it wasn't an English speaking tour! Who knows maybe he didn't know but they were not happy. Overall everything was great except our experience with the air transat rep for the excursions.
