Overall, an excellent experience. However, the bathroom could have been roomier, and should have included a bathtub and bathrobes. The walls also were very thin, so we heard people having sex in the room next door, so better soundproofing would have been helpful. .. More>

If you read the reviews of this hotel it seems that people either love it or hate it. I found truth in both the best and worst reviews. If a very clean hotel room is at the top of your list this is not the place for you. I don't know why but the room never seemed cleaned properly. Also both of our rooms were completely skipped one of the five days we were there. It was by no means unbareable but a nice hotel like this really should do a better job. The pool and beach area is fantastic "the best part of the hotel". The bartenders at the pool bars will let you sit and wait until they feel like waiting on you. And the drinks are on high end of resort prices however, I honestly believe people would complain less if the sevice was good. The front desk people were friendly and helpful with the exception of one older woman who seemed to be bothered that anyone would dare ask her a question. I stayed clear of her after the first day and felt bad each time i walk passed the front desk and another guest was getting a bit of her "i'm just to busy" to help you act. The restaurant staff is friendly and sevice was good. (Note: if you are a Hilton Diamond Member you can upgrade your breakfest for a small fee, just be sure to let your server know what you are planning to do.) The dealers at the casino could care less if you are there or not. They spend more time talking to each other than anything else. A couple of them are somewhat friendly but most of them are so into themselves there is just nothing left over for the guests. I hate to make excuses for them but I have never seen so many people gambling without a clue as to what they were doing, and it was every night. Maybe the casino staff has just given up. We spent most of our days at the pool and beach and thats the best part of the hotel. We did not let any of the small things bother us just enjoyed the weather and time relaxing. We were prepared for the poor parts of our stay thanks to the reviews we read and went in knowing what to expect. Expect some really nice people and some really rude people. The management should be better at weeding the poor ones out but, management could be the problem. All I can say is take note of the poor items and be prepared. And know that the weather, pool and beach are fantastic. Mike G.

Dissapointed this time around!

We arrived feeling good and exciting to be back for the 7th time meet by smile and the friendly Angelo at the valet parking, then on to the front desk to do the check in, the first bad experience, we where given a room on the worst floor and the worst view (a wall) after we had paid for a room with a city view and top floors, we are members of the Hilton Honor and that did not help, after going up and down again to change rooms, we where given a room with a better view on the 9th floor , we went out had a very good time came back see the Heat game at Brother Jimmy BBQ, great food/view. Then on Friday we went out to Old San Juan had a great time, came back to hotel the room was already clean but the bathroom floor was very slippery and I had an accident do to this condition. The next morning I could not even walk or move my hand in pain, had to go to a urgent care hospital for 31/2 hrs to be tread, came back to hotel went to the front desk to report this accident they told me some one will get in contact with me, that didn't happen till the next day I mention the issue to the housekeeping and they replace the small bathroom mat with a large thick mat. Finally on Sunday I came down and ask to speak to the Security Supervisor, Mr. Pedrosa very nice man and helpful spoke to me. He was surprised no one had spoken to me or offer any help. This is the first time in seven visits that we have felt disappointed with the courteous and treatment we deserve. Our previous positive experience with Ms.Mara at the front desk was not there this time with the FD staff. Mr Mara was miss. Still there our positive experience with Angelo (valet parking), he's the person who guide me and explain to me how to get to the nearest urgent care. Still there our positive experience with Henry (valet parking) helping us out with the car and getting in and out during the three days I was in such pain. Still there the positive experience with Francico at the outdoor cafeteria Still there the positive experience with the great location and the best lobby of the hotel. and still there after a week the pain on my right knee and right arm. Maybe the room number (911) was a hint of what was coming.
