The Divi Village & Golf is a nice property. It is not located right in the ocean but it is an easy walk to get to the ocean and the beach is amazing. Clean and a lot of cabana huts for shelter from the Aruban sun! We would have enjoyed our stay with two minor changes....the pull out sofa was terrible. Awful. My kids have slept on many pull out sofas and their standards are low- this didn’t cut it for them. Lumpy mattress, hard bars felt through the lumps- awful! And WiFi- the WiFi only worked in our master bedroom- what a drag! We heard from other guests that wasn’t the case but we were told from the front desk that it only worked in our front mast bedroom because it didn’t work on the golf course?!? Ok but other buildings had units that backed up to the golf course and had WiFi on their patios? There are wonderful outdoor BBQ stations- we really enjoyed utilizing that for a few dinners in: nice equipment and very clean.

Great trade

We got a 2 br lock off unit with 2 pull out queen sofas. Perfect for 7 people. They provided daily maid service. The pool is beautiful and the kids enjoyed feeding the iguanas lettuce. Beach is a short walk with plenty of cabanas. We rented a car and drove 10 min into town nightly for something to do. Toured different spots on the island daily (natural bridge, ruin, light house, and baby beach). Avis put a $1500 hold on my credit card because I didn’t take their insurance. But it was refunded aupon return, no problem. Love Aruba.

Excellent staff

This was our third time visiting the Divi Village. Over our three visits to the resort, they have had two serious challenges with a water issue three years ago and an internet issue this time. I have to say, to have challenges that are out of your control, the resort handled it perfectly. We did not have internet for a few days (better to be unplugged anyways), as soon as it was up and running the resort took care of everything (reservations as the most important for us). Yvonne at the concierge desk handled the internet issues with ease and made sure we could eat at all of our favorite restaurants, she even found us a babysitter for one night. Our room was perfect, right where the shuttles dropped people off for the Infinity pool. Our two little ones wanted to ride the shuttle everywhere we went, this was the best site for us. Being on the first floor helped with my mom not having to climb steps. We were in a one bedroom with a living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. We loved the size of the bathrooms!! We always came home at the end of the day to a clean place. We paid for the housekeeping for the week, I definitely recommend. Our two made friends at the Divi on the beach so we spent most of our time there. We always had to come back to the Infinity Pool during happy hour to make sure we had a Mudslide. The bartenders at the Infinity pool make the best drinks, hands down, on all three resorts. We could always find chairs at the beach under one of the palapas in the grassy area behind the sand. We enjoyed the perfect view of the ocean without the messy sand. Our two kids went to the Kids club two mornings, they had a great time. If you are interested, get a copy of the schedule of events. We ate breakfast and lunch at the Pelican Terrace. Make sure you find Miguelina or as we called her MiMi for the week. Miguelina will make every meal as easy and comfortable as possible. She was very patient with our little ones when they tried out their Spanish. We had dinner at Mulligans, The Red Parrot, Palm Grill, Ginger and Paparazzi. Every restaurant was very helpful with one of our little ones food allergies, we did not have any problems. We did one day trip with Aruba Private Snorkeling. The trip was perfect because it was just our family. Michelle was patient with our two trying to decide if they would get in, very helpful with my mom also. A couple little pointers: Espresso machine in the Divi Aruba lobby beside the parrots Ask at the pool hut at Divi Aruba for the woman who does braids Check out the fresh fish of the day at the grill for lunch Mimosa's at the buffet on Sundays Bring plenty of sunscreen, very expensive Bring a yeti to keep your drinks cold Try the ribs at Mulligans The gym is located at Divi Village (very busy in the morning) We cannot say enough about our visit. I hope this review helps everyone make the choice to stay at Divi!!!! We cannot wait for next year!!!
